Started off very helpful!.
Then I felt very pushy second time around!. And now keeps emailing me to give my details for a sign up. Eventhough I have stated I am sorted don’t want to go through them anymore .

Scammers. Avoid at all cost. My mum got a new contract through them with Bord Gais in July 2026. In October they created a new contract for her, without her concent, to another Bord Gais plan. A week later they created a new contract for her with SSE. They give wishy washy answers when they do decide to reply. My mum has no idea what rates she's on right now. I've tried to get them to delete my mum's details. Waiting for a reply now. On their instagram page they have hidden loads of comments about other people who have had a similar experience with them. Go check them out in their instagram page comments. Their Google reviews are being reviewed. My review didn't automatically go through. So I'd say that's why their reviews are still 4.9

Stay far far away from this man!
We used Dave in Dolphin Utilities 2 years ago to switch electricity provider. He caused us to be charged an early exit fee as he incorrectly switched us 2 weeks before our contract ended. I had to message him constantly for him to agree a refund and we decided after that not to use his services again. Then just 2 weeks ago he fraudulently used our details to attempt to switch us to Bord Gáis without our consent! I have made multiple attempts to contact him and he is reading my messages and ignoring me. I am in the process now of reporting him to the CCPC and the DPO and I would strongly encourage anyone else affected to do the same. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, this man needs to be stopped!

STAY CLEAR!!!! This company switched my electric and gas provider without our consent, and now I'm getting a cancellation fine from a company I didn't even know I'd left. They completely abuse the system and leave other people to deal with the mess they make, I'm talking about hours on hold, messages getting ignored, refusal to fix their mess. CON JOB, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

AVOID - Switched to Bord Gáis without my consent
I used Dolphin Utilities in 2024 for broadband, mobile and an electricity switch, and in November 2025 asked them to stop contacting me formally, twice.
In May 2026 I renewed my electricity contract with Energia myself. On 9 October 2026, an order was placed to switch my home to Bord Gáis using my name, email, address and meter number. I did not agree to this and was never contacted about it. Energia was notified and closed my account.
Dolphin is the only third party I know of that holds all of these details together. I have asked them whether they made this switch and have not had a reply. Reading the other recent reviews here, several people describe the same thing happening in the same week: moved to Bord Gáis without consent, hit with exit fees, and no response.
I have reported this to Bord Gáis, the Data Protection Commission and the CCPC.
If you have used Dolphin Utilities, check that your energy supplier hasn't changed, and contact your supplier straight away if it has.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dolphin Utilities this week. My existing energy account was cancelled and a new account was set up with another supplier without my authorisation, resulting in an early exit fee from my original supplier.

I have made several attempts to contact Dolphin Utilities to resolve the issue, but they have failed to answer the phone or respond to my messages and emails.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be cautious and would not recommend using their services.

Avoid avoid avoid. I had set up a new Electic Ireland account recently. Dolphin Utilities contacted me to see if they could help me switch account offering great deal with boird gais. I said no thanks I was happy with current deal and my current contract. They switched me anyhow without my consent or go ahead. Cost me early exit contract fee. Absolute cowboys and no respect for people. Very difficult to contact - no numbers work, no response from email.eventually got a response on what’s app. Please do not use this company. I will be looking at avenues for complaint- CRU and data protection. Do not use this company. Alan

DIrect and serious breach of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), specifically regarding lawful basis for processing (Article 6) and purpose limitation (Article 5).
Dolphin utilities switched my energy provider incurring an early exit fee without my knowledge or consent.
I once recommended them highly but no longer have confidence in them. It is a huge shame.

Do not recommend, used my information to sign me up to a bord gais account from sse without my consent . No communication , Will not reply to emails or whats app messages. Will be making a formal complaint to the CRU

Avoid!! I emailed this person only a copy of my SSE bill and he automatically signed
Me up for bord gais and I got an email to confirm which I never asked for!! To then me
Asking what rates I got and email was ignored to then get a call off my supplier to say I have a 50€ early termation fee!!! Avoid I don’t know how they’re allowed to do this

DO NOT USE THEM! Shocking service! They changed my supplier from SSE to Bord Gas a week short of my contract end date.
As a result I was charged €50 early termination fee from SSE. SSE cannot refund me as they acted under instruction from Dolphin Utilities!
I’m so angered by lack of response from Dolphin; emails, WhatsApp and calls all unanswered.
So with the intention of a money saving exercise, using Dolphin has cost me both money and time.
It’s is no way to run a business!!

Stay 100 miles away from this CON MAN.
He signed me up with Sse airtricity in December 2025.3 weeks ago i started getting messages from him changing my provider for ESB . I never responded, i never agreed or ticked any box . I knew i was on a 12 month fixed contract until next December. He now has switched me to Bord Gais last week and ive been charged €50 for breaking my contract with Sse airtricity without my permission. He is using my personal details and My Bank details without my consent to make money for his company and I have no way to stop him. Both Esb companies said it has nothing to do with them. I can't get a response from his Mobile phone. ive what's app messages sent . His landline is disconnected. He isn't responding to Email either. Com Reg said he is not on their list of 4 main switcher companies or the utilities.So can't help. same as the consumer rights, they advised the Data commissioner might be able to help.

Please be careful giving your details to this company.
I used them a couple of years ago, they kept all my personal bank details on file and switched my supplier on line this year without my consent. The electricity supplier advised me it was all done on line and from their end it looked like it was done by myself as bank details etc were all correct.

Avoid this company at all costs. Without consent attempted to change my electricity provider. Happy to bombard you with WhatsApp messages from different numbers when trying to get new business but when you attempt to contact him there's no response.

Trying to contact this company after they switched my electricity plan and gas plans without any authorisation (I had used them 2 years ago). No replies to phone numbers, emails etc. I'm making a complaint to the data commissioner re unauthorised use of my information.

Very negative experience with Dolphin Utilities. This company constantly WhatsApp you through a AI bot telling you your contract is up with a certain provider (false) and will inform you of a provider with the best current rate (which following quick review I found to be wrong). Furthermore this company do not take into account your own current provider for discounts,your personal energy consumption (every household might require different rates based on their import), or whether you have any microgeneration available to export. The AI bot will also send you emails to docu sign when you have never agreed to go with a agreed provider.

I contacted Dolphin Utilities a couple of years ago. He said he had found the cheapest electricity provider so I switched with him. I actually found cheaper myself so I cancelled within 14 days and upon doing so, realised that the information given by Dolphin Utilities, was incorrect so it was complicated to cancel. I did anyway but wasn't impressed and told them so.
This year I received a WhatsApp from him asking did I need help switching. I ignored. I received ANOTHER WhatsApp (have screenshots). I ignored again. He then left me a voice note and at this point I blocked him.
Did not get me the best deal and then proceeds to send me unwanted texts trying to drum up more business. No thank you.

Trying to contact this company endlessly after they somehow switched my electricity plan to a higher plan without any authorisation. WhatsApp phone number is just a bot, no reply on Instagram, phone numbers are disconnected.

What a seamless process. They make switching so easy. Have used this company before and would again

As always the fixed me up with competitive rates for gas and electricity and made switching seamless.
