DOGTAG Travel Insurance Arvostelua 23

All good. A little unsure when choosing, I feel there could be better descriptions for types/add ons/conditions. Good price comparisons.

I filed details of a claim 8 days ago, and haven't had any reply.

Made an error when I took out the policy. Called to see if I could amend. Very helpful with no fuss.

Easy insurance to get and I got covered for everything I needed.

Different pages on their website are materially inconsistent on the topic of whether helmets are required for their ski insurance - see:
- the "sports-information/ski-snowboarding-travel-insurance/" page which says "it's up to you"
-the "sports-information/winter-sports-travel-insurance/" page which says "all policies require a helmet"
The policy wording should have a clear statement but does not.
Have complained to the "enquiries" email address on their website, and gmail told me "address not found".
Was at least able to get a clear statement on the phone, but that involved a wait.
Now getting spammed by "have you forgotten your quote" emails.

It does what it says on the tin. There aren’t many companies that do this type of insurance so I was able to find my activity to cover. Other than that they don’t do the actual Dog tags anymore which is a real shame.

Probably the most stressful thing about organising the trip was dealing with Dogtag. Slow to respond and repeated chasing required. Website did not reflect what was agreed requiring multiple conversations. Hopefully making a claim would not be so problematic. The positive is that there was someone with whom to discuss things. Will think twice in future.

So I got the insurance because it allowed me to ski off piste, excellent. But the emails afterwards are a drag and having to find the policy in my emails OMG. You sold me the insurance concentrate on making sure that the important part rather than trying to upsell etc. We are all busy.

Shame you no longer issue the dogtag with policy details though

Dog tag are one of the few insurers that will cover off road motorcycling.
They have been very efficient at arranging cover for me esp now more complicated due to a medical condition.
Fortunately I can only tell you about how efficiently they take money, as I have never claimed!

Good, off piste and winter sport inclusive options on easy to use website. Have had friends who have claimed and stated they had a hassle free experience so always use Dogtag now.

Cheap and efficient

Great until you need to claim. I have been trying to since August. They forward you on to their broker. They ask for information and don't reply. They even added our information on to someone else's file possibly an IG breach. Complaints. Department zero help. Avoid. I would describe their company as dog and then a word that rhymes with fit.

Straight forward to work out what I required and level of insurance I wanted. Price seemed reasonable.

Always efficient and helpful to deal with - shame you don't still provide the actual "dogtags" - that was a nice touch and an easy way to have the details on you in case of emergency.
Cant say how good the insurance process is, as still after many years as a returning customer, thankfully never had to find out.
Great peace of mind and cover options

I asked for a weeks insurance for a mountain biking trip. The price and the cover offered was acceptable so I paid it

Ive used Dogtag for my sking trips since it’s inception.
One particular year I used a cheaper option but after seeing how a friend was dealt with after breaking a leg in Austria I immediately went straight back to Dogtag.
Some years later I’m leaving an average score as I feel it’s now quite a lot more expensive than others and when calling to discuss a new policy it was an off shore call centre which concerned me if I was unfortunately having to have to call them in the event of an accident whilst in the Alps.
I’m going to have to look around next season.

I was able to include my pre existing conditions at a reasonable price while being covered for an extreme sport
