Direct Tool used to be one of my favorite places to shop for tools. In the past year, I've noticed a steady decline in shipping speeds, to an ultimate point of waiting 8 business day for an order. When no updates were given about my most recent order, I called customer service (great representative- this review has no bearing on her), and I was told that the website should have been updated to say an 8 day MINIMUM, with orders taking up to 20 business days to ship. In today's day and age, with mass communication being widely available, web design that a child can manage, and constant access to communication tools, it is ridiculous to not inform customers about that long of a shipping issue. This leads me to the conclusion that management at Direct Tool has tanked, as indicated by the deceptive business practices.
Years ago, I wasn't living in the best situation and had to essentially live in a house that was under constant repair and renovation. At my local Direct Tool store, the workers got personally invested in my projects, one regularly went out of his way to make tool suggestions (even going against sales if he thought I didn't need something) and would explain resources I could use to reduce project costs.
I know Direct Tool has amazing employees because I've experienced it first hand. I am in disbelief that the company has sunk this low to take almost a month to ship orders and not be up front about it.
