The product quality is good and delivery was surprisingly quick. The only blemish was that one part was omitted from the kit. Dillinger however forwarded this promptly.

Delivery
I noticed that the tracking number showed 'delivered' even though I had not received anything. It turns out it had been delivered next door, and just sat on their front porch for the whole weekend as they were away. Obviously, delivery driver did not get the required signature. Lucky it wasn't stolen. Dillenger staff were very apologetic & followed up with courier - hopefully no-one else will experience this.

It all looks shiny and impressive - that's all I can say for now. Unfortunately the delivery did not contain the fitting kit. It seems that there will be a 4 week (!) wait for this. I had to follow up as there was nothing to suggest this was a partial delivery. Pity I wasn't told at time of ordering. I would still have placed the order, but it would have avoided my disappointment and frustration at not being able to build my electric bike immediately. And I would have left a more positive review.

So far, every time I have called Dillenger they have been very helpful. If I need more assistance during the build I am confident that I will be able to get it easily.

Update - kit fitted.
I have built fitted the kit with standard bike tools, and am very pleased with the result. The kit was very easy to fit, and the motor has plenty of power - it has taken my MTB over 45kmh on tarmac already. It's great on hills too as it can use the bicycle's own gears. Just a note here - I had to replace the original chain with a longer one to suit the supplied 46 tooth drive-sprocket.
Dillenger have continued to be very helpful with a few emailed queries I passed their way during the build - Good kit, good service. Now that I've been able to try the kit, I've increased my rating to 4.

One of the members of staff is extremely rude.

I have been waiting for a battery to come into stock for the Arc Electric Bike Kit that they sold at one point.
I have had customer support constantly tell me "4-6 weeks" and they will even notify me when it comes in.
A year later and still nothing, I still check on their website and Arc's periodically, but stock never comes in on the websites.

My current battery started to rattle (Arc kit), parts broke off, had to send it back to get repaired, which is fine, but then they didn't fix the rattle, which caused something to break inside, which meant it got sent back again. Big inconvenience, extra cost to me.

Then the battery on my 1000w upgraded wiring kit died, I was told that they will never get any new battery's in as it's been replaced by something else and that I would need to modify the wiring to install something else.

And what happens? The battery I needed comes into stock a few months later.

Tired of dealing with one hand and given something different in the other. But if you intend to buy these kits on the premise that you will get another battery in a year or two's time. Simply don't. There are other ebike stores which will serve you better.

I have also had them block me on social media when I expressed concern over a few things in the past.
Went to pre-order a controller, instead they shipped it straight away from China and refused me a refund. (Not telling me they had already ordered one in, otherwise I would have been fine purchasing it and keeping it, not to mention it's illegal to deny someone a refund in Australia.)

I want to like Dillenger, but I just cannot right now, my next purchase will be with someone else and I implore you to research around at alternative stores.

Excellent! Really enjoying my Dillinger d5. For someone who lives a little out of town the battery life is outstanding.

Bought the conversion kit for my daily bike, super easy to set up and works better than excepted! Looking at buying one of electric mountain bikes soon, very impressed with these powerful kits.

Once they've got your money they couldn't care less. Phone calls remain unanswered and emails ignored.Also, there are products advertised on their website which aren't in stock and take months to arrive,with no explanation or apology.

I was intending to buy a lesser known brand online but after several informative emails from Dillinger regarding their eBike kits I was able to make the choice to buy from Dillinger knowing I can expect excellent after sale service, full warranty and a superior quality product.

Just had to wait for stock to come in.

needed a replacement controller for custom build ordered 12fet. recieved 9 fet. phones never answered after 5 calls, emails not responded to. tracking number had to be requested to be given wrong one initially. now out $100 as i had to butcher the wiring and install anyway as i needed my transport running again. no refund, no help whatsoever. do not buy from these incompetent a**-hole's.

I never really enjoyed cycling before but now I do. Having an electric motor, it makes cycling so much more pleasurable and I can ride for miles. Dillinger was great, and they answered all my questions prior to purchase promptly. The delivery of the motor was quick and well packed. The quality of the motor etc is very good. Overall I am very happy with Dillenger, their service and their products.

I purchased a electric bike conversion kit for my existing MTB. The unit is excellent and the installation manual and support was good. The niggles were that the motor was supplied with the plug connectors assembled the wrong way around which caused some frustrations as the unit wouldn't function this way. There was also no manual supplied for the bike computer (subsequently a web link was provided which is great - pity to think that some users wouldn't have access to this).

Overall a decent supplier with great product.

I recently purchased a Hunter Light ebike. I have to say that I am very happy with both the bike itself and the support provided by Dillinger.
I received prompt and helpful communications during the purchase, and follow -up emails since.
The bike is every bit as good as the advertising claims, and seems to have been very well designed and built.
I have no hesitation in recommending this bike to anyone who might be considering it.

I spent ages researching electric bikes and it paid off in the end. Love the bike and the aftersales service. Have no hesitation in recommending Dillenger.

Earlier this year I bought the Samsung battery powered street legal kit and installed it myself onto my otherwise somewhat ignored mountain bike. It is now my daily commute of 27km (round trip) when the weather is right and I've just clicked over 1,000km now on the LCD odometer - and I still can't get over the novelty of this thing. The battery has held voltage well and it's just fantastic. You can put in as much exercise as you like, plough through headwinds and up hills at a solid pace without breaking a sweat (unless you want to). Trust me, there is plenty of grunt in this nominally 250W kit, especially with the thumb throttle fitted you can dail in a bit of Lance Armstrong on tap in a fraction of a second.

The commute was just a bit too much effort to reach (too big a drain) on a my bicycle as it was, purely fuelled by metabolism. But one day, I was in the shed and cleaned up my nearly new mountain bike. I put some road slicks on and went around the block. Then scoped out online and found Dillengers kits and thought - you know what, it would be totally worth it to convert this bike. If it actually works like it says, I thought. And it totally does go well! It took a couple of days to frieght interstate (for free) and it was well packaged. I'm a pretty handy mechanic (actually I'm a mechanical engineer), but you will need someone (or be someone) who knows some solid basic tool use to get this gear fitted properly. It is pretty straightforward and designed to work on standard bike components. Oh - upgrade your brakes to new fittings, that's important - you will be in more demand of stopping power.

My mum (a retiree) had a go on my newly converted e-bike and she was so impressed she ordered the same kit and I fitted it to her bike for her. There's nowhere to far in town for her to cruise to now! Who needs an expensive electric car or motorbike, this is much more fun and costs about 7c of electricity a day on my estimate! It's not the most advanced kit on the market, but my assessment is that it very good value for the quality it represents (especially compared to a ready made e-bike). So, yep, I'm happy with this unit for sure 5 stars.

My easy step over is a great bike and the people at Dillenger have been helpful. I would recommend paying the bit extra for premium components when choosing a model, as I have had to upgrade some components since purchasing. I went for the cheapest option.

I found the installation into the front wheel involved a fair bit of filing which I didn’t expect. I know I was told it would be a tight fit, but I didn’t like attacking my forks with a file for quite some time and taking all the paint off.

I couldn’t get the required clearance for my disc brake and it rubbed on my thick MTB forks. I wasn’t happy splaying the forks out with spacers as it would probably affect the suspension movement. I ended up fitting the front wheel to my other bike without discs and this worked ok (again with lots of filing).

The rest of the install was pretty straightforward including the brake sensors which work really well and the crank sensor which installs really quickly.

Overall the kit is fantastic. It’s helping me get back on the bike at the end of a lengthy injury and my wife has used it a few times too. I often commute and encounter a strong head wind. Having the option to click the power assist up a notch or two as I ride home is great. I find the interface on the display is pretty good.

It's been my first foray into electric bikes and overall it has been a great experience!

I have dealt with Dillenger since they started to bring in the IN WHEEL electric bike motor kits in a serious way. Their backup was always there along with the quality of their products. They have gone from strength to strength, very satisfied. bob b NSW
