Good Service
Todays experience was excellent. Got through to Dave to see if I could charge my batteries overnight from the grid. It appeared that I could and he took me through each step to configure this. Brilliant.
My only wish was this had been explained and configured when system installed.

Technically good but let down by communication
We had our panels and battery installed in August 2023, though this was after some delays. The installation itself went fairly well though the installers, with a small delay because the panels didn't arrive on time. All worked well and Deege were even efficient about fixing a hole that appeared in the roof when a tile slipped during the autumn storms.
In April 2024 I noticed that at points the solar energy died completely. I tried reporting this to the tech team and then emailed the director, all to no avail. After several calls eventually in late May, Dave and a colleague came out and tested voltages and currents etc with no conclusion. After 3 more months of chasing (I think they lost a load of office staff) the installers came out in September and tested each panel individually. This showed one panel had a low voltage output and another cut out completely in direct sunlight (not helpful for a solar panel). So off they trot saying they'd go back to the wholesaler and it will get sorted.
Now in March 2025 I was getting seriously fed up and Deege have given up chasing the wholesalers to honour the warranty. Dave, the CEO, has offered to replace the panels at their cost and then continue to chase the wholesaler.
The panels and battery have mostly worked well apart from the faulty ones. I am assured that it is rare to have a faulty panel so I feel very unlucky to have had 2. I am very pleased the problem is finally being resolved.
Deege are technically very good but have issues with proactive feedback. Assuming there are no issues with the equipment you will be happy with what they can deliver for you.

Great system, fast and efficient install!
I have had solar panels, a battery and an EV charger installed from Deege Solar. It was a great experience from start to finish. Dave was very helpful in providing recommendations based on my usage and he personally has solar installed so he gave me some valuable insight. He is very friendly and addressed all my questions and concerns before the install.
On the day of the install, there were no issues experienced with the panels going up and the installation was done in a very tidy and efficient manner.
They went above and beyond and even monitored the system after the install to make sure the system was working properly. Would highly recommend if you are looking to get solar installed!

By the time they've actually done what they've said they're going to do you'll have lost the will to live with all the chasing you've had to do and then you'll have a bunch of issues to fix because the original work wasn't done to a decent standard. Notice none of their phone numbers work -- I wonder why...?

Pleased with resolution
Since having to post a previous highly critical review, in contrast to my earlier praise, because of prolonged difficulty getting a response to a problem, I now have to praise the prompt direct contact received from the MD and steps quickly taken to resolve the matter. I trust they learn from what seemed to have been a failure of internal communication which let down the good service and expertise which I know the company can deliver.

Great knowledge and great service
We spoke to quite a few companies and it was clear Deege knew their stuff and were well priced. They made the process very easy and the fitting was done professionally. We had some initial teething problems with the batteries a few weeks after and they diagnosed the problem and resolved it as quickly as they could. That after sales service confirmed they were the right choice and I was right to trust them with my solar installation.

Good at what they do
Very happy with the panels, batteries and installation. No issues with quotation and all our queries and questions were answered plus no high pressure sales afterwards which was a bonus.
Installation was completed all as planned and on time by a friendly, professional team.
Only marked down as took a while to get paperwork afterwards which has delayed setting up our export tariff so we’re missing out on selling back to the grid in the summer sun, but Kate in the office was very good at sorting this out for us.

Fantastic Company - Highly recommend.
From the first contact for a quote, through to receiving all of the commissioning and handover documentation, it has been a superb experience. (By the way I also contacted a large energy supplier for a quote and was told my roof wasn't "standard enough for them")!
Rod prepared an initial quote and then worked with me to modify/upgrade to meet my additional requests. He was extremely helpful in reassuring us of any concerns we had and never pushy or trying to up-sell unnecessarily.
An installation date was booked in within the month and bang on cue, 8am the scaffolders arrived (having confirmed they would the day before by telephone). These guys were quick, careful and did a fine job.
Soon after Tommy and Adam arrived to begin the install with the electrical work. I honestly can't endorse them enough! We had a pre-discussion to go through the details of the installation, including all of the layout, how it will look and how the wiring will be routed; after which they just cracked on with it. They didn't ask for anything, but did keep us updated as necessary and let us suggest convenient timing for turning the power off.
Attention to detail was fantastic, from the neat installation of the inverter and batteries in the garage, to the re-tarmacing of a channel in the drive to route the cables (Adam spent a long time making sure this was perfect!).
Together with Richie they installed 24 panels on the roof, extremely neatly and well aligned - they look fantastic!
Overall the installation was over 4 days, with the last day, Tommy and Adam working to 9:30pm to make sure everything was 100% and operating as expected. It was, although I asked many questions and maybe kept them longer than they needed to be here but they happily went through it all with me.
Since the installation we have had 1 full month of generation (July) and I've waited until now to write a review to see how it compared to the original quote from Rod. July didn't have the best start to the month with a lot of overcast days / rain, however..... Rod's quote claimed July could generate 1.3-1.4MWh of electricity and despite the unseasonably poor weather during the first half of the month, we've generated 1.345MWh! I'm definitely happy with that and it confirms the figures from Rod were realistic and not inflated to make it look more attractive!
Following installation, Kate ensured the handover pack was completed quickly, following up to ensure the SEG and DNO were processed without delay.
Overall a fantastic experience and we're very happy with the end result. I would highly recommend Deege Solar (sometimes 5 stars aren't enough!).

Solar and battery projects …
This is one of the most professional businesses I’ve have ever dealt with. They have done two solar projects for me and have surpassed my expectations. Complete honesty and great communication throughout. They are a family business which says a lot. Let down by Customer Service led to 4 stars
Initial enquiry re getting a quote for a retrofit additional battery was not dealt with at all. However, after a nudge in the ribs, they did so, it was competitive and a date arranged. The time of appointment was changed a couple of times on the day, but ok in the end. I wish the installer’s technician would leave their contact number with the client when leaving though. Had a few inexplicable things happening over 3 or 4 hrs which gave me some anxieties, but it self-resolved. A quick chat with the technician by phone after he’d left could have prevented this. All good now. Had the system installed in Sep ‘21 by them (6.5kWh panels, Solar Edge power optimisers & inverter, coupled to Growatt SPA 3000 inverter and 3 x 3.3kW Growatt batteries (now 4), plus a MyEnergi Harvi and Eddi hw diverter) and its performed really well.

Look no further for a professional Solar installation
Very Happy. Just had 18 solar panels installed with 11.6kWh battery storage. A great experience all the way through from initial discussions regarding panel placement and battery options through to final commissioning and certification for exporting. Dave is very knowledgable about all the manufacturers out there and how to get the best solution. He even sent up a drone and sent back some aerial photos of the final installtion. Dave and his team are polite, work hard and are always professional. Big thanks to Richie for fixing a storm damage roof issue whilst fitting the panels. Would have no hesitation recommending Deege.

I added a Solar battery system to the solar panels Deege fitted in June 22. The Electrician was very good and stayed until the job was finished in spite of being given incorrect parts and parts missing. He was polite and professional and I couldn't have asked for more.

We tend not to do many reviews because most companies are doing what you expect of them.
So bearing that in mind we can’t compliment Dave and his team enough
Our system was a bespoke fit and the design was fully explained and the system did exactly what we wanted,
Deege Solar did an excellent fit returning several times to complete the job to a very high standard and dealing with several issues without complaint, in fact keen to finish to the job in the highest possible standard. We had issues with our wifi and they attended, even assisting with supplying the cables and setting us up on the app along with fully explaining how it all worked, even recycling our old panels.
