David Golding Cars Arvostelua

I arranged to meet with David regarding a car he had for sale.
When I arrived at his place, he wasn’t there which wasn’t a problem. I contacted him and he said he would be back in 10-15 min.
The car I was interested in was left out for me to have a look over.
After seeing the car for a minute, I knew it wasn’t the car for me.
My issue was as follows.
I had been in touch with him for roughly 10 days before seeing the car.
Se we made an arrangement for when I would travel to see the car.
When I arrived, the car was in poor condition for showing a potential buyer.
It wasn’t valeted inside at all and the car needed to be washed too.
Also noticed some rust spots and a bad paint job that wasn’t mentioned in the add.
When I said it wasn’t for me, his answer was, “pity, I would have liked to have shown you in showroom condition” followed by “there’s plenty more in the queue waiting for updates on it”
I took the day off work and travelled from Waterford to Dublin to see it.
He had more than a week to have the car ready and I though a very poor attitude..
I didn’t even sit in the car and it was certainly one of my dream cars for years. Very disappointing experience for sure.

David’s extraordinary reputation had already preceded him when I first got in touch. And he was nothing but an absolute pleasure to deal with. From the first email until the final deal, he was super responsive, extremely knowledgeable about the car and so straightforward to deal with. I can only sing his praises and continue to recommend David to anyone looking to buy special cars!

Top class service, not your usual secondhand car sales story here, David is a man of his word, says what he will do then just does it. I bought the Daimler totally on trust, unseen, bar the videos, and it was exactly as expected. Delivered on time with zero hassle and a great follow up with the paperwork and manuals. Highly recommend him, all these great reviews are not BS, this man is a rare gent.

I honestly cant recommend, david enough. He has been so easy to deal with and has made the whole process of buying a car so much easier.

Highly recommend David Golding Cars to anyone considering buying a secondhand car. We bought a car from David and had some mechanical issues with it (not David’s fault, a 10 year old car). In fairness to David, he arranged a local garage to repair the car for us as we live over 2 hours from Dublin and paid for repair work promptly. Very few honest dealers left in the motor industry these days. Thank you David for looking after us and making this issue as stress free as possible for us.

David Golding cars has been trading in Rathgar for many years and has a selection of modern and classic cars for sale. David provides a comprehensive video on each car he has for sale. I traded in my car and bought an amazing Ford Focus. It was a pleasure to deal with David and I would have no hesitation in recommending David.

I Bought a classic car off David and within a couple of months it had an engine problem, David went above and beyond to get the car fixed. I would highly recommend him to buy a classic car off

David was as good as his word, he said what he meant and meant what he said. Despite only knowing him a very short while, I would be very happy to deal with him again. Particularly impressive was the speed and thoroughness with which he completed the purchase of the car. I shall certainly keep him in mind for future reference. Thank you, David.

Was looking for a small SUV for my wife and Discovered David Golding cars online. He had a very clean Suzuki Vitara up (among other beauties)and I gave him a call.
David said we could come down and see the car which I did and it was everything he said it was....immaculate.
This man even took the trouble to drop me back to work on a very wet day!
Now that's real service!
We're delighted with our car which we got for a very fair price with a good warranty to boot and have no hesitation in recommending David Golding cars.
This man Knows his stuff and is a gentleman .
Thanks David for making the transaction so seamless Angelina is delighted with the car.

Bought a car from David and can say the service was excellent!
Felt David was very helpful and transparent throughout the whole process and really went out his way to make evrything as smooth as possible.

The business owner was efficient, reliable, and did everything he could to ensure I got what I deserved.

David was very professional and easy to deal with, he called to my home, we agreed fair price in a few minutes and he returned as agreed 3 days later to finalise deal, instant transfer, was thrilled with the process

Good communication, went the extra mile. Highly recommended.

Expert in classic cars, expert in modern cars. David is an encyclopaedia of anything automotive weather it be a gogomobile three wheeler to an Aston Vantage or Ferrari or anything in between what he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing. I’m lucky enough to have traded Porsches jaguars fast Japanese cars and wouldn’t trust anyone else with a sale or purchase. A sterling individual with an absolute passion for the motor car and cars he vendors. Lovely person. Astounding knowledge.

David gave me the best customer service I ever got,I love his customer service,he was so helpful all the way through

I saw a nice car on line being sold by david. I spoke to him on the phone and he was friendly and easy to talk to. He explained fully the history of the car. I arranged for my friend to go look at the car he reported back to me that the car was in pristine condition as described on the Inter Net. I ageed a price with David over the phone and collected the Car at his dealership. I found him to be very knowledgeable about the Car and the Motor Trade in general. He was honest and came across as a reputable dealer. I would recommend him as an Excellent Motor Dealer and would deal with again if i was buying a Car.

I recently bought my first classic car, a Mercedes SL 300 r129 from David I chose to buy from David due to his great reputation, things I was told about him & his vast history and experience with classic cars. It has been a long road from poster on my wall as a kid to owner of an SL so getting the right car was important. David has great communication & was always on the end of the phone from all my queries n questions. I was delighted doing a deal with David & purchasing an absolute mint SL which has been a pleasure to own & drive. I would highly recommend David as a classic car dealer, professional, helpful & trustworthy. I would definitely do business with David again a 5 ⭐ guy, thanks David!

Recently purchased a car from David and his service was excellent. His attention to detail was fantastic and if I had a problem he would sort it out straight away. I would have no problem in recommending him to anybody seeking to purchase a classic car

I am based in the USA and I was looking for the French Citroen Mehari Azur… I actually did not find the “perfect Car” in the USA, nor in France…. But in Ireland.

From the pictures, car looks great, price is quite competitive… therefore I was a little anxious as I can not go and see the car, and if anything goes wrong it would be difficult for me to react, so I had to deal with a person of trust and ready to do the extra mile in order to help me do all the import stuff!

From day 1 I found David very professional, very cooperative and very responsive. His Trustpilot and google rating brought confidence I am dealing with the right person (other than one Troll who tried to affect his reputation)

I wired the money confident I would not have any issue, and that was the case. David provided me all paperwork I needed from him. He mailed the original to my address.
I wasted a lot of time trying to find the right company by myself, company who could import the car from Ireland, up to the USA, including insurance, custom (…) Door-to-Door at a reasonable price.
That was not the easiest part, but at the end the shipping company contact was also given to me by David, another extra mile as his deal was done and paid!

Car was finally shipped with full cooperation from David, and just received in the USA, at my home, beginning of February 2025!

Car is exactly what I had expected, nothing hidden!

The journey with David ends here, but not totally ended on my side as I still need to do the title, registration, and service the car to be ready for spring.

I would not hesitate to buy again from David, only issue would be that I need a steering wheel on the left side!
