Daniel Johnson's Showreels from Scratch Arvostelua

Daniel was very understanding and relaxed, and a great director- he explained things very well and had a clear vision of what would look best. I’m very pleased with how my showreel has turned out. I couldn’t ask for a more professionally made reel.

Daniel takes the time to understand you and carefully creates scenes that cater to the characters you will play. Everything is bespoke and from scratch, on the day of filming everything is incredibly professional. I received my edit in good time and will definitely return for updated scenes in the future. Cannot recommend enough!

I can’t recommend working with Dan enough. In the run up to shooting, his communication was brilliant and he was incredibly considerate of my casting type and wants when it came to writing scenes for me - they ended up being absolutely perfect for me. The other actors he sourced were also very talented and well suited to the scenes.

On the day itself, Dan was a brilliant director, which was especially important to me as an actor with less screen experience. I’ve had great feedback on the scenes he shot for me since, and will definitely be coming back to him when I’m looking to update my showreel in the future.

Daniel got my vision straight away! Not only did he take the time to talk to me on a 30 minute consultation, he also kept in touch through the whole process of writing the script. My showreel is now something that I'm proud to show off, and this is all thanks to Daniel. He brought out the best acting in me, and was supportive from the get-go. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Over the moon with the results of my showreel created by Daniel!
From the first initial meeting, to the filming day and beyond, Daniel has been professional and attentive, allowing me to feel comfortable and confident throughout this incredible creative experience.
I would highly recommend you to consider Daniel for all of your future showreel needs!

Loved working with Daniel on my showreel. He made me feel truly at ease, took time to write some excellent scenes to suit my casting and did a great job on the final edit. Highly recommended!

I’m so pleased I chose Daniel to do my showreel, he took the time to carefully choose the best scripts that would be suited for me and would showcase my acting in the best possible way! Planning the filming day was very efficient! He paired me with a great actor and I was made to feel really comfortable and relaxed- as my scene had some quite sensitive themes. I am so happy with my final, edited scene! I feel Daniel really listened to me and goes above and beyond to get the best out the performer!

Excellent guy! Dan strives to create an environment that is professional and relaxed. He cares about the individual and caters to their needs. The one thing on Dan’s mind is capturing truth. That’s all anyone can ask. Great work, chuffed with the result.

Dan was really great to work with. He was very professional, precise and made me feel very comfortable at all time, which for me is very important when filming a showreel.

I highly recommend.

Daniel Johnson is a very nice person who provides excellent service. I was very pleased with how the showreel was edited and how professional it appeared; I couldn't have asked for anything more, and he provided me with excellent feedback while I was performing with a fantastic actor. This is the place to go if you want to make a showreel.

Daniel was friendly and very professional right from the off. He took the time to get to know a bit about me and what I wanted from the process and wrote three scenes that were ideal. He put me at ease on the day of filming and offered helpful and thoughtful direction throughout, which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend going to him for your showreel.

Daniel is definitely your go-to guy for showreels. I've done my showreel with him three times and he keeps exceeding my expectations every time.
He genuinely listens to what you need or want as an actor and goes above and beyond to make your tailored showreel stand out.
He writes excellent scenes, finds the actors and locations, etc. He takes care of everything, so all you need to do is perform (and don't worry, he'll give you directions too).
I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I am absolutely delighted that I chose Daniel to do my reel. The final effect is way above what I was expecting and what led to it was a thorough process of initial conversation and writing scripts, helping me to choose the three, organising the filming and finally the edit. At each stage I felt I have been listened to and nice relaxing atmosphere of shooting reminded me how playful acting can be. Dan’s directions were spot on and he has good vision of he wants to achieve. I would highly recommend Dan and I hope I will get to work with him again.

I wanted a very natural, funny scene and Daniel delivered. The scene was right up my street and he was able to find an actor who worked perfectly to play alongside me. On the day the shoot was so relaxed and I felt really at ease which I’m sure helped my performance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daniel and will be going back when I’m ready to shoot my next scene!

It was so lovely to work with Daniel. He is a very kind, talented professional, and throughout the whole process, he makes you feel comfortable and at ease plus, it's so much fun.
I highly recommend him.

Dan wrote me an incredible scene which felt real and natural which is exactly what I needed for my showreel. The whole experience from discussing what I wanted from my scene to the day of the shoot was professional and he made me feel so comfortable. I cannot recommend him enough! Thank you Dan!

Daniel made me feel so comfortable on set and at ease with the filming. The day ran smoothly and he offered great advice and directions for the scenes. The showreel looks so good and professional. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a showreel.

I have worked with Daniel a few times on show reel material, for my own reel and others. The scenes are always great, tailored to the performers and a good range of genres to showcase a range of skills. The edits are great and sent as quickly as possible after recording. Definitely worth the money spent, and always a pleasure to be asked back to help out with scenes. Cannot recommend Daniel's services enough!

Daniel is an actor’s dream to work with… he writes pieces that are on brand and perfect for your specific types. He listens to your needs, puts pen to paper, and seamlessly creates stories that are unique to only you. Having met Daniel on Twitter, this was by far one of the best decisions I made during lockdown. Not only is he a talented writer—Daniel has a creative eye for directing and editing. The notes he gives are spot on! The final product was beyond anything I ever expected. I got great feedback from casting directors and coaches as well regarding my work I did with him! You will not be disappointed.

I had the best time filming my showreel with Daniel. The scripts he wrote for me were relatable and clever, and they fit my castability perfectly. On the day of the shoot, I felt super relaxed and felt like Daniel had created a really safe place/environment to work in. I was over the moon with the end results, and family and friends were quick to comment on how professional and authentic the final product was!
