Incorrect items delivered and no contact.
I ordered x3 of the same hair cream. I received the 3 pots but only one contained the cream. The other two contained a hard wax substance. Externally the pots are identical. I emailed the company to let them know. I have now emailed them four times and have not had a single reply. I paid through paypal so I am now going to start a dispute through them to see if this will prompt a reply.

We are truly sorry to hear about the experience you described and sincerely apologize for the disappointment and frustration it has caused.
As you mentioned, all three product pots appeared identical from the outside. All of the products we receive are supplied directly from the manufacturer in their original, factory-sealed condition. As part of our final dispatch checks, we carefully inspect every product to ensure the manufacturer's seal is fully intact before it is shipped. We only dispatch products once we have confirmed that the seal has not been broken. Because the products remain factory sealed, we have no way of knowing the condition of the contents inside each individual pot.
We have also carefully checked our records and, contrary to what you mentioned, we have not received any emails from you. Had we received your message, we would certainly have responded and investigated it as quickly as possible.
That said, we genuinely appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. Customer feedback is extremely important to us, and we will be reporting your experience to the manufacturer so they can investigate whether there has been an issue during production or packaging.
While we completely understand your disappointment, we must admit that receiving a one-star review for a situation that was entirely outside of our control is very disappointing for us as well. Since the products arrive from the manufacturer fully sealed and we verify that those seals remain intact before dispatch, we simply have no way of knowing what is inside each individual pot.
Nevertheless, we sincerely apologize that this happened. Our customers are always our highest priority, and we never want anyone to have a disappointing experience.
As a gesture of goodwill, we'd be happy to send you two complimentary Hair Creams with your next order. Simply let us know when you place your next order, and we'll make sure they are included free of charge.
We truly appreciate your feedback and hope you can understand our position regarding products that are supplied and dispatched in their original factory-sealed condition.

Awful service. Order 3 dying colours for my hair and received only one and paid carriage higher than the price! Now that of no use as I need 3 and need to order different shade elsewhere

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with CSS Salon Supplies.
After placing an order, I was notified that it had been delivered. However, when I checked, the parcel was not there. The FedEx tracking showed that the item was left outside, marked as “signed for” without any visible signature, and provided no GPS confirmation, which is contradictory and does not constitute secure delivery.
When I contacted CSS to report non-receipt, I fully cooperated with their requests and provided a utility bill solely to verify my address. Despite this, I was informed that the document was “not legitimate,” without any explanation, and my case was escalated as potential fraud. I found this accusation distressing and wholly disproportionate.
CSS refused to clarify what was supposedly wrong with the document, declined to resolve the missing delivery, and repeatedly stated the matter was “closed,” while implying police involvement but providing no Crime Reference Number. Responsibility was repeatedly deflected to the courier, despite the retailer being responsible for ensuring secure delivery.
The handling of this issue was unprofessional, intimidating, and lacked transparency. I would strongly caution other customers, particularly regarding delivery disputes and customer service practices.

After a full investigation, we can confirm that the parcel was delivered successfully. The courier provided photographic delivery evidence confirming that the parcel was left at the delivery address. Based on this confirmation, we advised that a refund could not be issued.
Following this, a refund claim was raised with the payment provider under a different name. This claim was reviewed independently and was ultimately rejected, as it was determined that the delivery had been completed correctly.
We understand how frustrating delivery issues can be, and we would like to reassure customers that we take every case seriously. We have been in business for many years and place great importance on our reputation. Whether an order is £1 or several hundred or several thousand pounds, every customer is equally important to us, and we always aim to act fairly and transparently based on the evidence available.

We’d like to clarify that the order was dispatched with full tracking, and the delivery progress including confirmation of delivery is available via the tracking link provided in the order confirmation. This shows that the parcel was delivered successfully.
Regarding refunds, these are assessed in line with our policy and the delivery confirmation provided by the courier. As the order shows as delivered, a refund was not applicable in this case.
