I arrived at 7am on Saturday, 9/19/26 and my visit was going well until I was called to the back to start the donation process. Shortly after situating myself on the donor chair, Christopher (S. Phlebotomist) threw a used gauze (with his gloved hand) that wedged between my bare donation arm & the armrest, totally missing the trash bin nearby. He picked it up the gauze, placed it in the bin, and walked away without saying a word. About 3 minutes later, Christopher was setting up the donor next to me and to avoid coughing in the donor's face, he turned his head and coughed in my direction without covering his mouth. I literally felt the air from his mouth brush against my face. Again, no apology or an "excuse me" was uttered out of his mouth.

I have been donating plasma with CSL for 5 years and in 2 states. I've been donating at this particular facility for a little over a month. Never have I experienced such rude and ill-mannered behavior from any CSL staff until this visit. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I will definitely be reporting this incident with the corporate office.

SPREAD THE WORD! This place is ripoff, they make $3000-$5000 each canister you fill for them & have the nerves to pay you less overtime, we don't even get 5% of that profit, shouldn't be a problem for anyone to get $100 ALWAYS! Don't let them take advantage of you!

Today, I was informed via phone by Alyssa at the clinic that I have been deferred until I speak with the center manager, who is only in one day a week - tomorrow, from 12n until 830p. This is not convenient for my schedule, and this means that I cannot donate for at least another week. I noticed this because the portal says I can donate today, but it would not allow me to access the pre-donation questionnaire as I normally can on an eligible donation day.

Later this evening, my eligibility status in the app turned to "unavailable".

During my donation visit, I was advised by management that my previous comments made here on Google were the cause of the visit to the Medical team today. They advised me that "if this clinic is too problematic for me", that I should "visit another clinic".

During my visit today, I was not able to answer my pre-donation questions due to the deferral flag in their system, and the staff frequently lost me in their system.

I was delayed heavily before donating, up to 45 minutes in total due to their problems and issues with my system profile. During my wait in line to speak with a pre-donation employee, the male medical "nurse" looked up from his station, saw that I was standing in line, stated to his co-workers that he needed to take his 10 minute break before seeing another donor....and then walked away from the pre-donation desk he was working at. At the end of the delays, I was advised that my iron levels were 1% off, and I was not able to donate today.

After ~3 weeks of not being able to donate, my iron levels should be through the roof. I should probably heed their advice.

I reached out to CSL, and they will only speak to me by live chat. The live chat rep states that the amount of time listed as my deferral is not one week. However, the chat rep cannot provide additional information on the deferral, and have flagged my request for a callback from an employee at this location. I have received no callback from this location.

In turn, no one from this location will contact me about this discrepancy, nor discuss their reasoning to defer me for longer than one week.

Consistently inconsistent with their deferral methods. You'd think that the staff gets kickbacks for limiting the amount of donations per week.

I have been deferred three times in four weeks, recently after my 24th consecutive donation. Last week, it was a blemish in my inner arm region. I was told to come back when it was no longer visible. This week, the medical staff took quite a long time to read some notes on my electronic file, and I was deferred for having a suspected bug bite. I was told my deferral period this week was one week.

I haven't stepped outside all week. "Maybe its a sweat pimple", the medical "nurse" added. Who seemed to be in a bad mood, and wasn't overly warm when making her assumptions, which she implemented as facts. This is the norm at this specific clinic - staff members project their bad attitudes and personal issues upon donors like myself. If they're in a bad mood, you might get deferred.

They will make up any excuse and not care either way. They will concoct notes and post them against your file to conspire against your donation schedule.

Donate elsewhere.

The pay ends up being somewhere around $1 an hour. They really take advantage of people that don't have any money. They force you to sit for five or six hours for a physical, then if they finally let you in, the money they give you is peanuts. They laugh at how little people are being paid and how much they'll put up with to get those tidbits of money. They're really, really destructive.

The people that worked there are very nice, but the people in charge are ruthless take our advice don’t go there. They don’t pay enough and they have too many strict and variables on whether or not you can give blood at all. They don’t look as used as an individual even though you’re a faithful client. They just throw out any time they can and they threw me out the last time today so go somewhere besides CSL and Mustang. There’s many places that’ll fit you better and pay you more. also, I forgot to mention that when they sent me back to have my arm, checked the lady sitting at the desk, took a napkin, pushed it down on my scrape, and of course nothing came up of it. There was it was completely dry because it wasn’t dried blood it was a stab completely scabbed over but she had to call for back up so this younger girl came in and said oh no that just won’t do that’s liable to break up there and and I said and watch I’m gonna bleed the death because of this half of a dime size scratch on my arm or the bruise for my arm where you gave me from me or plasma? Also, when I was doing triage, one of the other nurses said, I was fine to go. They didn’t just said to have me go back and let the other nurses look at it because he was doing triage. The wound looks identical to every wound I’ve ever had but the new girl didn’t realize it and sent me home after I had gone through everything I’ve gone through and I’ve already donated once this week so this would’ve been my bigger payout, which is five dollars extra truly they don’t pay enough. Listen to me when I say they don’t pay enough to do your homework. Good luck.

Always polite and positive staff that make sure you make your donation as quick and safe as possible

This place is absolutely bad. Wait times are long ,I went on Friday and they always manage to find something wrong with you. Their were eight of us at medical with 1 nurse. If your going to find something wrong with everyone, at least put more nurses duty. Im going back to Biolife. Great service there but the payout is always changing.

I got as far as the vital station & was never greeted by a very rude nurse- just acting like she hates her job- as a nurse I am sure she was mad she had to work the vitals counter at all & that was the whole problem. She told me I had a bruise on the arm I normally donate from that was BARELY visible but csl’s fault from a previous donation- (anyone I asked afterwards could not even see the bruise!) But the enjoyment she got telling me I couldn’t donate was obvious.

The funny thing after being humiliated I realized it was the same exact lady who was nasty to my son a day or so before- we had never been in there together so now knowing why he was so upset after he came home after being denied to donate, I now understand.
That day, he had donated like an entire week somewhere else thinking he was in clear to donate at csl just basically not understanding the rules- when he tried to explain this to her- she ROLLED her EYES at him - basically saying he was lying.NOT to mention embarrassing him in the line in front of everyone.
SO UNPROFESSIONAL. After his description of her, I knew I unfortunately had the same miserable lady.

I have never had an issue with anyone else at this facility, always have been treated with respect but I will walk out if I am forced to interact with her again as I am sure my son will, as well. She needs to find a job she enjoys not with people…

RUN RUN RUN Go to any other plasma company Especially avoid CSL Plasma on Yarbrough. They popped my first vein because they were cross training reception techs to help out back. Poking fingers as a reception techs it’s not the same as poking your vein. Never gave consent to be practice on while they were doing their cross training. So make sure no reception techs without experience poke you! Then supposably get a more experienced phlebotomist to poke the other arm and guess what happens she also popped my other vein on the other arm. My recommendation is CSL should properly train their phlebotomist to void popping clients veins. Management also need some proper training on customer service, accountability responsibility.

At CSL I had repeatedly shown up to donate stressed and negative feeling like we all do at times, the only person there that was able to make me laugh was TOBIN!!! THANK YOU

I was a new donor and scheduled my donation time on line for 8Am the next morning. When I arrived on time I was advised they didn't have staff and I needed to come back at 9:30Am. I went home and returned and advised they still didn't have staff and I couldn't donate. No apologies or what my next step was, just we can't help you...and the armed guard at the front door was especially encouraging.

From the front to the back I was screened in a timely manner and I was stuck by Tiffany in a timely manner and disconnect in a timely manner. Good service and they thanked me. Eastern Blvd. 125

They have taken everything that we used to get including TVs crackers bottled water. The saltine crackers they gave us after they took the packs of peanut butter crackers away are gone now. U have to ask for a cup for water. There used to be cups to grab, but like the water and the crackers they'll claim it was because someone was stealing. There's no charging station in the donor line anymore there's no trash can to throw away trash so it ends up on the floor. They rarely have toilet paper in the women's bathroom. The parking is ridiculous and small for their people coming through the door. They've taken the bonuses for donating so many times a month. They took away the points you earn through the survey, of course u can take the survey for 1 point and you need a 1000 points to get $10. Now they email u wanting u to take a survey for no compensation. They started rescheduling the payment with the weight for a lower pay out. Then they started taking our height just to pay us less and squeeze every drop they could from us. They are always short staffed. The lines get long for vitals and the donor line. I mean like an hour for vitals which of course makes your pulse go up and then u can't pass vitals after standing there for an hour. Talk about mad. And if u make it past vitals you still have to wait in the long donor line. Another hour. So you wait 2hrs to get back to the donor floor and then if u are a successful donor you get your little $45. Hopefully that will cover both trips u spend going up there twice a week at $4 a gallon and then maybe u have that second donation with the $60 for actual food. They want u hydrated and with food on your stomach yet won't give us poor people a little something to ensure a good donation. There was no packs of crackers and no cups for water when i was there last and of course there was only one roll of toilet paper for all 3 stalls. So we get what happened not very long ago when a gentleman threw up on himself while attached to the machine. They ruined him by being cheap. And he was a new donor had been waiting and and they gave him a shirt. Great lucky him. It was preventable. They are nickle and diming everything with their penny pinchers and they are feeling it. People are not going as much. The employees are treated like crap. They want them to cross train in every section but won't compensate them for their hard work and they go above and beyond to make our experience great. So to help save them and bring in new donors witch they don't hardly pay anymore, let alone u wait for hours with nothing for some reason to become a new donor. They've got employees asking for good reviews for them as a employee but yet it's just CSL trying desperately to get good reviews under the guise of the great employees. CSL SUCKS. And for these good reviews the employees are given all they get for this review is a pat on the back. They are always under staffed because they don't want to pay them and over work them that they can hardly keep anyone. They even reduced the employees donation payments. Then we pay that time consuming shortage. Which is always. I've seen management change and it was supposed for the better. Well its been years and things have only gotten worse. I know COVID was bad, but this is systematic problem with CSL. And COVID is over. Been over. So what's CSLs excuse. I left a Google review and they wanted me to call corporate and I did. I got an intern who took my message down politely and asked if I wanted a call back, I said sure. It's been a week nothing. They are making thousands of dollars per donation on our plasma and paying us pennies. And we are just far away enough to NOT be able to go to Mobile and get over $100 there. And we can thank Biloxi for NOT wanting another plasma center because quote" we don't want those kinds of people ". What life saving people. Everyone thinks we are junkies and alcoholics. U can't pass the the tests if u are one. Its a thorough process. You iron and protein must be good. No sudden Weight gain or loss. Marks on the arms and in between your fingers under ur watch. Bruises. Cuts. Rashes. No piercings or tattoos for a year. All kinds of stuff. Have you been to jail? That's in there. Do u have mail to ur home address ? ID ? Social security card? Its not just walk in and they pay u. And there's no cash. They give you a debit card that only works some places and some free ATMs. So I love the employees but CSL can suck it. Yeah I need the money but if this war goes on it's not gonna be worth the gas money to drive over.

Well i give up i have tried and tried and tried again to be ok'ed for giving plasma. But they wont. The looks i get make me think its because i dont look the greatest. I mean I am not so conscious of things like my dirty shirt ,my busted up oil stained work worn hands ,or my zip tied cloud of smoke i call a car.They do because they wont let me give blood. They're either discriminating against me for my looks or they only want clean cut mamas boys and drug attics cause that's all i see in there. I am done wasting my time and gas. I have no idea what there next excuse will be but Im done. Im taking my small paper cut, high blood pressure, spider bitten (months ago before i tried the first time) ass home and not coming back. Its their loss because I have a tremendous immune system ,no blood disorders or diseases, and type o-neg the universal donner blood. But they never even went past my looks to test my blood and find that out. So 2 thumbs down on this place. I've already spent more in gas coming up here than I would have in the money I would get donating. I just needed more than I earn to get by. The drug addict at the community meal that told me about this place said it was simple money, my ass!

After Taking down my personal information and I mean personal.
Coming back 3 times Because they kept messing up my intake. At the very last minute they told me. I couldn't donate because I had used drugs seventeen years Prior to trying to donate. So basically the took down all my personal, very personal information.
After they already knew that I was an ex Drug user Just to deny me after they collect it all my information. I feel like it's a scam. There's no need for that much information to be known about person just to give blood. Something else going on. In after talking to a few Other people Who got very sick after donating, one has Hep B now and another contracted HIV after donating just two times. So I am thankful now that I wasn't able to go through with it. I still don't like the thought of that company having so much personal information about myself or other people, who knows what it's really doing with all that collected information. BEWARE

There are 20 people in line waiting for vitals at the Evansville location. Only two or three of all the workers are efficient. This place has awful customer service. I don't recommend coming here.

They promise a certain amount of $ but it is their discretion on if they allow you to donate day to day so it's not guaranteed.

This place's nurses bruised my arm last draw and then turned me away due to the bruising they caused the next time I came in. They cost me time and money as I left work early and none of the lengthy paperwork warns that they may bruise you and then turn you away. The same amount of bruising happened as the last intervel of donating yet this time the alleged "nurse" who determined it was unsure so he turned me away.

I tried talking to management and they just brushed me off like I was another number. There was no attempt at a resolution. This place is full of drug users and nurses who can't draw blood consistently well. Be warned! (The photo is of the "bruise")
