I do like the supplements I buy, especially the high dose Vit D3 51,000iu which I chose to take daily and has boosted me to a healthy level, to which I received a thoughtful email response to warn me of taking too high a dose. Once, some of my supplements came with the wrong labels on them which we cleared up quick enough.

As the product I purchased caused prolonged gastrointestinal distress, I contacted the company requesting a COA, mainly as I was concerned about microbial contamination. I was told that the product was of organic origin so I repeatedly requested the organic certification code which they failed to provide. They provided a COA from an unknown source which was invalid anyway because the wrong product batch number was given for the test results. They would not disclose the lab that supposedly ran the tests. This company make a lot of unsubstantiated claims about their products being pure, of organic origin etc. I would advise anyone in the UK to report unwanted effects of any of this company's products via the MHRA's yellowcard system.

Update: in response to the reply from Crown supplements, I am not new to herbal extracts having used them for over 30 years. I used a very conservative dose which I took with water. No other supplements were used in parallel. I cannot ascertain whether I am sensitive to the ingredient or not, without knowing whether the product is totally free of contaminants. The COA I was sent was not from any accredited source and was for a different (seemingly much older) batch number of the product concerned. Information given on the COA (from an unknown source) implied that the product had been certified organic within the EU, which would mean that there would have been an EU certification code which Crown Supplements will simply not provide. I am unwilling to take any claims of the products quality and purity at face value. There is a reason why we have regulatory and certifying bodies within the EU and UK. I place more trust in these bodies than over a company that chooses to make endless rhetorical claims, despite not producing any solid evidence with which to back them up.
