Crowdwork Arvostelua 

The CrowdWork platform has been perfect for my small business/side hustle selling tickets to my events. It connects easily with square for financial transactions, and fees are very small. I made my own website for a landing page that connects with CrowdWork for the sale. The CW site is very intuitive with different options for different types of tickets and events. The support team is amazing and very responsive for anything out of the ordinary I want to do for my purposes. They even implemented a new feature request I made! I love the human connection with Brandon on the support team who loves to solve problems and make it work for me.

This is the anti-ensh*ttification software. I have tried a LOT of theater management software. There are some decent options available out there, but none that I felt was actually trying to cater to my business (an improv and sketch comedy theater). I've been using CrowdWork basically since their inception as Fourth Wall Tickets. I've gotten to see them continue to grow and add features (including MANY I've specifically requested). The platform keeps getting more robust, and it just works. It's so nice to have something I don't have to worry about because I'm confident that I won't lose a potential customer because of broken software. The care that the dev team takes on their updates and new features is incredible. It just keeps getting better and better, and I'm excited what the future holds.

I first used CrowdWork years ago to buy tickets to a small comedy theater in Chicago (LSI!). Then last year when my community club started hosting monthly workshops, I tried a few ticketing platforms and CrowdWork ended up being the obvious best choice... and it has only gotten better over the past year.

AND...Full disclosure: I liked CrowdWork so much that I actually asked if I could work for them part time. And now I do.

So yes, this review is biased, but in the most honest way possible. I was a genuine customer first, became a genuine fan, and eventually wanted to help with building it. I’m still a CrowdWork user today, completely independent of the work I do for them.

What I loved about about CrowdWork from the start was that it’s being built by people who actually understand the industries they’re building for. The small team includes performers, theatre people, festival organizers, class/workshop organizers, and others who are genuinely involved in the kinds of events CrowdWork supports. This isn’t software being designed by people who have never actually had to run an event themselves.

And when you use it, you realize how that makes a huge difference. The people building CrowdWork actually understand the problems they’re trying to solve, and they genuinely care about the people using it.

And for what it’s worth, if you email CrowdWork support, there’s a decent chance you’ll get a response from me. When you do, you’re talking to someone who was — and still is — a regular CrowdWork user, not just someone who happens to work there. Myself (and lots of other users) will attest to the fact that the platform is literally built and improved based on the feedback of users.

I wouldn’t have asked to work for CrowdWork if I didn’t already believe it was really good. And having now seen the company from the inside, I’m even more convinced they're doing something different.
