Everyone at Crate Hire was so nice. They were competitively priced, the website was easy to use and everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful.

We had to extend some of the crates for a couple of weeks and they were brilliant and super helpful.

Would highly recommend.

So glad we decided to use these crates instead of the cardboard boxes I'd been thinking of using. Really quick to pack and great for stacking. Lovely friendly delivery driver, I would highly recommend.

I have to say, I thought it was a thoroughly excellent service. Beyond my expectations. Solid price, and very attentive customer service, would highly recommend.

All staff are extremely polite, friendly and efficient. I had to extend my hire 3 or 4 times and this was easy to arrange and the cost is minimal for the 10 boxes I hired. I can highly recommend the team and the service.

Professional and speedy service from beginning to end

The crates were mostly as advertised but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

Half the crates had white dust / residue and needed re-cleaning before use. They also missed the timed delivery window by several hours and then had to be asked to refund the additional fee they had charged for this (which to their credit they then did).

Worst, however, was that delivery was booked for the third floor (with no lift available) but most of the crates and materials were just left on the ground floor. When he arrived, the driver claimed he hadn't been told about the stairs and needed another person to carry them up (refusing my help to do just that). He eventually 'broke his own rules' and carried 1/4 of the crates upstairs before leaving. Following a complaint to the booking team, they said - despite their own delivery confirmation stating "Step Details: Third floor" - that they had "assumed" this meant there were only "3 steps outside building". They then tried to blame timed parking restrictions in front of the building as to why they couldn't have brought them up - which restrictions were never mentioned by the driver at the time and which haven't caused problems for any other delivery in 6+ years (including others that needed much, much longer).

In all, their team either struggles with basic literacy or (more likely) seem to me like chancers. Would not recommend or use again.

Great service, great value and just what we needed. Much better than buying and using cardboard boxes.
