County Fabrics Arvostelua

Lovely fabric at a good price. Tiny issue with my order was sorted out promptly and efficiently, thank you very much!

Excellent service. Met them at the Game Fair originally and very helpful. The pheasant pattern of the table cloth fits in very well with my rejuvenated kitchen.

Bought 6 crochet thistles . All lovely . Prompt delivery . Helpful staff

Great service from a local shop, good selection of fabric and accessories and pleasant and helpful staff.

This was a good find on the internet. Lovely quality fabrics at reasonable prices. They posted quickly but delivery was slow. I will definitely always check to see if they stock what I am looking for as I also like the fact they are a small independent shop. Thank you for a first class service.

Prompt communication about stock.
Refund given when some stock unavailable.
Ordered fabric came 2 days after email to say it had been dispatched.
First time I have used website to order fabric online and I would definitely use again.

Fabulous fabric and speedy delivery.

Excellent customer service including email correspondence before visiting.
Very extensive range of fabrics to view in a lovely environment with varied price levels. Well worth a visit if you are looking for material or made up curtains. The helpful advice and answers to my many questions was greatly appreciated… Thank you so much…

Prompt delivery

Disappointing installer - bent, scraped, not sorted.(The service from County Fabrics was very good and the curtains that they made for us are lovely. )
This review is not about County Fabrics but about the really disappointing person/company that they recommended to fit the curtains (Jim / Hung, Drawn and Sorted). He appears to have no on-line presence so there is no way for me to complain about him other than via County Fabrics.
Our job appeared to be an inconvenience to the fitter from the start. He arrived late, didn’t apologise, and made it clear that he had another job to go to afterwards so was in a hurry to get ours done. In the process of fitting the curtains, a new bed frame with a heavy mattress on it was dragged across the floor, bending a support. The paintwork of the frame was also scratched by a ladder being used during the work.
The fitter didn’t mention having to move the bed or bumping it with his ladder and I didn’t notice the damage until after he had left, otherwise I would have raised the matter with him at the time. I reported it to County Fabrics who apologised and suggested that they would touch up the paintwork – not ideal for brand new furniture but at least a gesture - but I felt that it was up to the fitter to take responsibility for it himself, especially since he invoiced for the work separately.
I have contacted him several times over the past few weeks and given him plenty of time and opportunity to respond. I had hoped to maybe receive an offer to carry out a repair or possibly some compensation, or at least an apology, but I haven’t even received an acknowledgement of any of my messages.
I paid the invoice for the fitting in full and on time because I mistakenly expected that, because I treat people fairly and with respect, I would be treated the same way in return. Unfortunately, I should probably have withheld payment to get some leverage while waiting for some resolution. Instead, I’ve been ignored and my complaint treated as unimportant which is disappointing and insulting. I wonder how the fitter would feel if he’d paid someone quite a lot of money to do work, in the course of which they caused damage that they didn’t have the courtesy to try to deal with or even acknowledge.
I have no hesitation in recommending County Fabrics as suppliers of good curtains but would advise against using their preferred fitter since I feel that his handling of this has been very unprofessional. He appears to have no concerns about creating a problem then leaving it unresolved. If you do decide to make use of this fitter then, based on my experience, don’t expect him to care about sorting out any issues that might arise.

The ordering was simple to do and the delivery was quick- the fabric is wonderful and the price was incredible as it was on offer

Very easy to order on line, good communication about my order and swift delivery of a great product

Friendly and knowledgeable staff make visiting County Fabrics a must!
So much better to see and feel fabrics before making final choices, this is a haven for creating a successful project.

On our annual upholstery outing we again returned to County Fabrics, the first time for a while that it’s not been the Sale Event.
As usual the ladies made us most welcome, assisted with colours, matching fabrics, insight into fabric use and generally responded to each query with their boundless knowledge and expertise.
The choice of fabrics is a dream for any person with either a project in mind or requiring inspiration. Price ranges to suit every pocket and that’s just with the in stock material. We never ventured to the sample books or in depth into trims, curtain accessories etc or we would be still there.
I always leave there with a smile!

Cushion cover making class was most enjoyable, great instructor and good company. I would recommend strongly it to others.
