Best decision I’ve made so far growing the business is outsourcing the back office work. Collective does a great job for solopreneurs who are ready to make the transition to an S Corp. everything is set up in one place, I saved $8k+ after making the transition and setting things up. The experience from the calls with the sales team throughout have been great and I appreciate all the work!

I used them in the past for 15 months. They are the absolute worst. Want to get someone on the phone? Next available appointment is 30+ days away. Terrible customer service. The online portal has many bugs. You can connect your external accounts, but you still have to manually upload statements for all of your accounts every single month. Collective is a great idea with terrible execution in my opinion. Be careful!

Reached out looking for accounting help. While they may not be the right fit for me based on my business structure, Dennis was extremely helpful, polite, and informative. Despite not being a fit, he provided referrals and resources to help me in my business needs. Would definitely recommend!

Easily the worst customer service of any tech or services company I've ever experienced in my life. I thought Fyre festival had better service. They refuse to file your taxes on time even though though that's the only thing you pay them to do. Totally incompetent and totally designed to take your money and run. No wonder they are almost going out of business.

At first, I was skeptical about whether or not this company truly cares about its customers, but I had such a positive experience with this company’s customer service. Especially Kylie, who went above and beyond to make sure I felt heard, valued, and supported. I reached out with a concern regarding a promotional offer, and not only was my message received with empathy, but Kylie also took the time to thoughtfully address it and connect with her team for a solution. It was handled with transparency, kindness, and professionalism from start to finish.

It’s rare to feel this seen and respected as a customer. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and flexibility they showed. Highly recommend!

I am super grateful for Collective! Last year I decided to join because I was really struggling with my taxes and forming an LLC as a full-time freelancer. Elizabeth has been SO helpful, always incredibly patient with me and my endless questions, and helping ease my anxiety. I can't recommend them enough, especially if taxes freak you out.

I’ve been a member for 3 years and can’t imagine using another service to support my business. Collective is the only service available that provides everything in one place with expert help included in the price. It has been a godsend as my business has scaled. They also seriously listen to member feedback and I’ve firsthand seen recommendations from myself and other members get implemented into the product and prioritized by the company.

I have quarterly meetings with my MRM to stay on top of things plus run payroll for my (now 3!) contractors. From the sales process to payroll and tax and bookkeeping teams, everyone has been really patient and friendly, and now I barely ask any questions and my business finances are on autopilot. Having everything in one place is great.

Onboarding is long and an S Corp is an investment as their sales team will tell you during your call, but if you’re ready to make that jump as a solopreneur I cannot recommend Collective more.

I've been working with Collective over a year and my experience has been great. They answer my questions quickly and I no longer feel like I'm doing something wrong when it comes to my taxes. Would definitely recommend!

Confused as to why the ratings are so high here. I'm assuming its because most are from people who have just joined Collective and have yet to experience their service entirely. Just know that they recently updated their terms of service to include a section that waives your right to take them to court or do a class action lawsuit, and all Zoom meetings begin with a disclaimer that they only provide "guidance" and not "legal advice."

As a member for the last year and a half, I can confirm that you want to stay as far away from this company as possible. Please read the Reddit threads for a more accurate description of people's experiences with this incredibly predatory company. I wouldn't be surprised if Collective is investigated soon, whether that's in the press or otherwise.

They make countless mistakes that will cost you money, time, and energy -- the exact opposite reason you'd work with them in the first place. There's no one monitoring your account and they rely heavily on AI which leads to tons of mistakes. You have to beg them for responses to your emails, can't get meetings with a member of the team in a timely fashion, and no one is looking after your account. You'll spend hours of your time explaining things to them via email or on calls over and over again.

Collective failed to file my business return on time, not once but twice. This was after they assured me it would be. They also made mistake on my return and then amended it (this racked up over 1k in penalties and interest), only to make another error that they are "looking into" now.

I could go on but won't. Save your money and hire a CPA.

Very little support vs. what was promised when I signed up with regards to year-round tax support. It's also very difficult to get a response or meeting with anyone. My assigned contact books up 3-4 weeks out. When I send messages in the portal, I get sent links to read more information on my own about the topic or a blanketed reply that doesn't actually explain in layman's terms to someone who is not a tax expert. I was informed about a state specific tax that I am required to pay for my biz 15 days after the payment was already due!! The department they suggested I reach out to get it sorted didn't even know what I was talking about so I am getting the run around and still have not idea what to do. This does not feel as advertised at all. They do, however, keep asking me for referrals on a regular basis. If only I would get that same communication level with my actual taxes.

Dylan was great to talk to. I'm sure this company would be really good, but unfortunately this company only does solo LLC and not multiple owner LLC. That would have been nice to know before we scheduled a call. ;)
