I signed up for cine vote but I noticed that all they were doing is sending me surveys to take without even watching a trailer or show . I did not watch a single thing, i would take a survey asking the same exact questions ; my age , the type of shows I watch, and how often and every survey would suddenly terminate saying “ something went wrong “ they seem to be very biased on age , like just cus I’m not a teenager they don’t want me to watch their movies or shows because in not their target demographic , it seemed very obvious after answering questions on their surveys and then just getting cut off by them without ever watching any trailers or shows. It seems to me they’re cheating us & the studios by just deleting people because we’re not 14 y/o . I go see alot of movies and I see alot of adults like me even for “ SpongeBob “ movie . I been going to the movies by myself since I was like 8 and I guess I was out of their demographic back then too . So yeah there just a scam like alot of things nowadays , I’m sure the studios have realized it by now when they see how their doing there business by taking only certain age groups . In my opinion anyone of any age should be able to go see any movie except like 10 y/o ‘ s seeing X rated shows . I also like rom com shows & movies & I’m not a woman , so I guess pretty soon they won’t let me in the theatre cus they think I’m too old !

Being able to do surveys on my own time wherever I may be with a stable internet connection is wonderful. Although the spots fill up fast to qualify for a survey, it has been significantly easier these past couple of months. I also like the fact that I earn rewards faster compared to other survey apps.

I have done 3 so far and have not had any issues. I collected enough credit for a movie ticket after 3 reviews. Seems to be working fine so far for me.

It used to be good. Now they disqualify you for every single survey and sometimes have you watch a whole movie for 1-2 hours and THEN disqualify you. I brought this up in an email to them and a very aggressive person lied about the number of surveys I had received, lied about the reason I was disqualified - on my last survey I watched a video for an hour and answered the first question correctly and then got disqualified - she incorrectly said I replied “no” to the question “Could you see and hear the video?” There was not such question on that survey and for complaining, she kicked me out of Cine Vote forever after having worked for them for years.

It's a waste of time. You spend a lot of time doing the reviews. I supplied detailed responses as requested, not meaningless replies. I did this for over 6 months and never got anything related to a reward. They are just using you.

Many times after you go through their trailer or pilot TV show previews, and fill out surveys and easily spend about an hour on all of this, the survey terminates at the end saying "oh no, something went wrong" and you end up not getting paid for your efforts. I contacted this company numerous times about this problem and every time they say it is not in their control but it is the movie studios that reject surveys. The reason is always the same: the survey wasn't filled out in the time that they thought it should take, which is about 15-20 mins for trailers and about 60 mins for pilot TV shows. But the problem is, the trailer surveys are so short that it takes only 7-8 mins to fill it out and the pilot shows are so long that just watching the show takes 60 mins let alone filling out the survey! So it is almost impossible to do the work within their allocated timelines! I tried to explain this to cine.vote many times over multiple emails. I even recorded my screen while filling out the surveys and sent them this evidence that I AM filling out the surveys, I am NOT rushing anything, yet it still takes what it takes and yet I still automatically get rejected! When I sent this proof, I never heard back from them again. This company just wants to wash its hands off and not deal with it. They just say "it is the studio rejecting it" and get out of it. Well, that's just not right. They are our contact with the studio and they should own this right. Hence the one star feedback for them not taking ownership AND for them ignoring my email with proof.
