Very easy process
Very easy process, everything was explained well. I would given 5 stars but for a couple of reasons. No option of an insured courier pickup (other companies offer this), I had to pay to send my watch to the buyer, also I had to chase for updates. I appreciate they are dealing with a lot of enquiries and sales but a short message or voice note to keep the customer informed would be appreciated. Other than that a great service.

All initial valuations are based on current market data, recent comparable transactions and live retailer demand at the time of enquiry. As Chrono Hunter does not purchase watches directly, final offers come from our network of vetted retailers once a listing goes live.
It’s also worth noting that not all offers in the market are directly comparable. A private sale may sometimes achieve a higher headline price, but this can come with trade-offs such as time wasters, scammers, failed payments, returns or lengthy delays. Selling to a business is often faster, more secure and more hassle-free, although the price may differ from a private sale. It’s a balance many sellers consider depending on their priorities.
There is absolutely no obligation to proceed if an estimate doesn’t meet expectations, and we always encourage clients to compare their options so they can make the best decision for themselves.
Regarding the listing process, we gather detailed information upfront to ensure accurate retailer offers and to minimise price changes after inspection. While this may take a few minutes, it is designed to protect sellers and keep the transaction transparent.

Low Offer for buying watch
I am looking at selling one of my luxury watches and so approached ChronoHunter and was shocked at their extremely low valuation. Not only was it £1500 less than another watch buying platform as CH valued this at only £3k and another dealer offered me £3500 also. CH also quoted a fee of £200 so they were hoping to gain a brand new mint fully stickered watch worth a lot more for a derisory low fee, and so I do not recommend them at all!

The £3,000 figure shared with you was an initial market-based estimate based on the information provided at the time including the images which we requested better ones to be able to accurately estimate the price of your watch, had you have provided these then the estimate may well have been increased.
As explained in our correspondence, Chrono Hunter does not purchase watches directly. we connect sellers with our network of vetted retailers who make competitive offers once a listing goes live.
You mentioned receiving £3,500 elsewhere, which is a £500 difference rather than £1,500 as stated in your review. As mentioned above, had we had any response after your initial contact this may have been reviewed especially if you have an existing offer you could share with us, as we could use this to try and achieve a better offer for you.
Our fee is fully transparent and only payable once an offer is accepted. There are no upfront costs, and sellers are under no obligation to proceed if they are not satisfied with the valuation or offer received.
We have reached out to you to offer a call to explain the process in more detail, as it appears there may have been a misunderstanding regarding how our service operates. We remain happy to have that conversation and provide further clarity.
We pride ourselves on transparency, fairness and realistic market valuations, and we are always open to discussing any concerns directly.
