Much safer alternative for you pet!
The toys are very cute. I love that they are made with non-toxic material. So many dog toys these days are questionable, I feel much happier giving them a healthier option. I also love that they are made with military grade ballistic materials. I am hoping they measure up, and I will definitely purchase again and share this company to fellow dog owners.

My dogs love their Cheekies. One of my dogs is nine years old and has not been interested in most toys for years, and he literally jumped up to get the Cheekie. I was surprised and very pleased.

Found This Toy to be Excellent for My Family
Many people have had mixed reviews on the Cheeky dog toys. I can only speak from my experience. The quality was excellent, and the fabric seems durable.
I've had mine for two weeks now and Whale is my Rottweiler's new favorite toy. She has buzzsaws for teeth and usually shreds a toy within days. But there's something about Whale. She carries it around; throws it in the air; and settles in for a good chew. It ends up wet, but so far there isn't any damage.
I'm not saying that she couldn't shred it if she wanted to, but Whale seems to encourage relaxed chewing instead of the kill instinct. It's the only soft toy that has lasted more than 48 hours in our house.
I haven't tried Koala yet which has a squeaker. That may be a different story.
I would buy at least Whale again.

Hi Ann,
Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! 🧡 We’re thrilled to hear that Whale has become your Rottweiler's new favorite toy, especially with her buzzsaw teeth! 😅 It’s fantastic that she’s enjoying it so much, and we’re so happy to know that it’s holding up well even with her strong chewing style.
We designed our toys with durability in mind, but we also know that no toy is invincible — we’re glad Whale seems to be encouraging relaxed chewing for your pup!
Thanks again for sharing your experience, and if you decide to give Koala a try, we’d love to hear how that one goes too!
Big hugs to your Rottweiler from the whole Cheeky team 🐾
Overpromised, underdelivered
I understand if the toy does not turn out to be indestructible, but the gripe is that the toy isn't even living up to the campaign's own claims of being a durable toy that can withstand heavy chewing. Could have gotten five toys for the price of this one and have them last longer

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that the toy didn’t meet your expectations. We’ve worked hard to create durable toys, but we understand that no toy can be truly indestructible, especially with strong chewers.
We’ve always been transparent about our toys’ durability, and while we strive for resilience, we recognize that they may not be the right fit for every dog. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve and develop better solutions for all types of play styles.

Longest lasting fabric toys we have had by a long shot so far
My dog has gone through toys so fast previously. Prior to this the longest toy we had last was made from quilting fabric and was triple stiched everywhere and it still didn’t last very long. These toys are still going strong and look great! He hasn’t made any holes in them yet and is loving grabbing them at random points throughout the day and just playing with them, these toys are holding up so well.

My dog is an aggressive chewer
My dog is apparently a brutally aggressive chewer. She's taken previous tough toys and ripped them apart, So far I've only given her the elephant. She hasn't pulled it apart but has made a small hole where she's trying to pull the stuffing. I have high hopes that the toy will last as long as I keep an eye on her. She does like to walk around with it in her mouth. I hope the koala lasts a long time as well

Excellent company, cute toys.
Cheeky was very communicative and the toys arrived quickly. The toys definitely seem high quality, but the eyes on the whale and the saddle on the elephant create weak spots for my dogs to have something to pull on and tear the toys open. Our Cheeky toys lasted about 30 minutes before stuffing was everywhere.

Hi Jacob,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're truly sorry to hear that the toy didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it can be when something doesn’t last as expected, especially when you've invested in it.
While we aim for maximum durability using reinforced materials and strong stitching, no plush toy is completely indestructible. Some dogs, especially those with strong chewing habits, can still find weak points quicker than others.
We take all feedback seriously as we continue to improve our toys and ensure that they better stand up to various play styles. If you'd like to discuss this further or share any additional details, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations.
Regarding the delay, we did face some production challenges during our first batch, but we’ve worked through those, and everything is now running smoothly. As part of the Kickstarter process, backers understand that some delays can happen as we fine-tune the production. We're glad to have overcome those obstacles and are now better prepared for future shipments.
We strive to deliver the best quality possible, and we understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t go as planned. We’ll take your feedback seriously as we continue to improve our toys and our processes. If you’d like to share more about your experience or discuss how we can assist you further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com.

The toys arrived in great shape
The toys arrived in great shape. My dog loves them. I should mention he is not a real chewer, so I'm sure they will last and last. He just likes to carry his toys around with him and sleep with them, so he's pretty gentle with them. Unfortunately, this survey is in French, which I don't speak, so I have no idea what to answer for the rest of it.

Reading the reviews from other recipients I was concerned about the quality of the products. My dog is an ACD/Lab mix and she takes great delight in destroying stuffed animals (especially those with squeakers). I received three with squeakers and with trepidation gave her the whale animal (holding two in reserve). One week in she loves this toy and carries it around the house. No rips or tears yet. I cannot complain about my experience.

Extremely overpriced and not durable at all – avoid!
This toy was advertised as extra tough and durable, but our dog managed to tear it apart within just one day. It’s absolutely not worth the high price. I contacted customer service, hoping for a solution, but was strung along for several days without a clear response. Eventually, they claimed the damage was our fault – which is honestly unacceptable given how the product was marketed. I strongly advise against buying this toy. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re truly sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your Cheeky toy. We completely understand your frustration, and we always strive to make our toys as durable as possible. However, no plush toy is truly indestructible, and even though we use reinforced materials, we know that some dogs, especially strong chewers, can sometimes find weak points faster than others.
Regarding your communication with customer service, we apologize if the response felt unclear or insufficient. It was never our intention to cause any frustration, and we value your input as it helps us improve.
We do appreciate your feedback, and it will be taken into account as we continue to refine our products. We are constantly working to improve and will be offering new options soon. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out again.

Not for large breeds
I would not recommend this toy for large breeds. My dogs were able to get through all 3 models within 5 minutes each. On kickstarter they claim it is ment to "...withstand intense chewing, ensuring a safe and long-lasting experience." And "... these ultra-resistant toys are designed to withstand vigorous chewing and rough play" and many other quotes of a ultra-durable stuffed toy. This is obviously not the case for many of the people I have seen reviews and comments from. Now maybe these toys work better for small and medium breeds, which for the people with positive reviews from what i have seen have, but with how it was advertised it should have had no problem and lasted longer with the larger breeds as well. I will admit it is a strong material and my dogs did love to play with them but I could have went and bought toys from the petsmart that would have lasted longer and would have been cheaper. I am highly disappointed and was hoping for a good long lasting stuffed toy for my dogs. But as many other people from kickstarter I feel lied to as this is not the "strongest and safest dog toy" as they claimed it to be.

Hi Brandon,
We’re really sorry to hear that the toys didn’t live up to your expectations – especially since we know how disappointing that can be when you’re hoping for something long-lasting for your dogs.
Our goal was to create a soft toy that could go further than traditional plush toys, using UHMWPE fabric (the white rigid part), which is used in ballistic protection, along with tough nylon, and Dyneema thread – often described as the world’s strongest fiber. That said, no soft toy can be truly indestructible, and some powerful dogs, especially larger breeds, can find weak spots faster than others.
We know this solution won’t suit every dog, and your feedback – while tough to read – is valuable and will help us keep improving. If you haven’t yet reached out to us directly, feel free to email us at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com. We’d love to hear more and see how we can help.
Wishing your pups lots of fun (and tougher toys ahead 🧡),

Great toys, but not indestructible
Our two bully-breed rescue dogs absolutely love their new Cheeky toys! The toys are certainly more durable than any other plush toy they have had, but they are far from indestructible. Our older bully got through the fabric in less than two minutes of chewing, another of the toys started to separate at the seams when they played tug.

Product not nearly as tough as advertised
Product not nearly as tough as advertised in the Kickstarter campaign. Our Labradoodle made the first holes in the Whale within 5 minutes. The product is not durable at all. So much for it being the strongest and safest toy.
Update in response to the company: you did not claim indestructible, but you did claim durable. The number of public complaints in reviews and on the Kickstarter campaign shows it is far from durable. This is not 'some dogs', this is a lot of dogs that are not having a product live up to the expectations.

While we never claimed our toys were indestructible, we did design them to be tougher than standard plush toys — using reinforced seams, technical fabrics like UHMWPE and nylon, and Dyneema thread for extra strength. That said, we understand that some dogs can still manage to damage them quickly.

We’re sorry to hear your American Stafford was able to find some weak spots. While we’ve put a lot of effort into making our toys as tough as possible — with reinforced stitching, layered fabrics, and durable materials — no toy is completely dog-proof, and some dogs are incredibly talented at finding their way in.
