I’ve been searching for a used car for weeks, and this was the first time I felt like I had proper information in front of me. The report gave me a clearer picture of what I was dealing with.

Do not trust this company with your bank information They will hit you with unexpected charges days after paying for one check and they will never respond

I used CheckCar.vin to check a car I saw advertised online, and I must say, I was saved from a bad decision. The owner never mentioned that the car had been in an accident, yet when I checked, I saw that there were previous records of damage.

I signed up for what was presented as a 3-day trial on CheckCar.VIN, but I was later charged $99 for a monthly subscription I did not knowingly intend to continue.

The biggest issue is that the report I received was empty and provided no useful information at all. On top of that, I did not have a clear or practical way to manage or cancel the subscription before being charged.

When I contacted customer support, they refused the refund and simply referred me to their terms and conditions, blaming me instead of addressing the fact that the service delivered was useless.

My experience was:

misleading trial-to-subscription billing,

empty/unusable report,

poor customer support,

refund refused.

I would not recommend this service. Be extremely careful before entering your card details.

Deliberately misleading website providing limited vehicle data and then after charging you once for a "One off charge" they hit you for a subscription of €99 PER MONTH. They provide no receipt, no invoice so your online bank will not act on it. Will likely have to replace my card to stop them charging me again next month.
