MUST BUY

The guides were extremely useful because everything was easy to understand. It reduces my time on doing research and helped me to find the areas I know I will excel on. Finance is such a huge field with many different divisions and language this book simplifies and prepares you for the recruitment process well.

Definitely worth the money

Great career guide! I knew I wanted to pursue a career in finance, but after reading the career guide I have gained clarity on which specific career I want to pursue and how achieve it.

Intro To Investment Banking

Mentions everything in little detail and is very vague. Does not include any different guidance from that on the internet for free that you could find within 20 minutes. For example, it says it will include technicals and interview questions but for the typical question like ‘walk me through a DCF’ all that is mentioned is ‘you will need to understand your valuation techniques’ - and this is true of the whole book; everything stated is common knowledge! Ambiguous and vague - not worth buying, unless you want to be spoon fed basic information and can’t use google!

I purchased Afzal's guide to Private…

I purchased Afzal's guide to Private Equity as I am looking to make a career change. The guide has all the resources for me to have constructive conversations with PE platforms for an IR / BD role. It's a great "PE 101" resource, and I recommend the no thrills no BS approach.
