For a company that named itself "Care Credit," they sure know how to show it. Let's wait until you're three days late to remind you... by the way, we will hit you with a $30 late fee the day it's due, with no reminder beforehand. Once my debt is paid off, I'm closing this account. People in need, beware, they will take advantage of you.

This credit card and company should be considered a scam. They began charging me 32.99% interest from the date of posting any single charge, and even though I paid the entire balance each and every month. When I finally caught it and complained it was ‘sorry, thats what you agreed to’. But I didn’t nor ever would. These guys are dishonest. Don’t use Carecredit, they only want your money.

Disputed charges as you would with any card company. I disputed them 3 times 6-9 months ago because the provider (byte.com) never sent anything but I was charged $2399. Byte would never respond or just blow me off. I sent everything to care credit/synchrony in the disputes. Synchrony/care credit denied my disputes and still held me liable. I hired an attorney as many of us did. Byte has now been ordered to cease and desist effective 12/01/24. I was told by my attorney to continue to pay as agreed and dispute with care credit/synchrony again and if needed they can be added to the suit. I did the dispute, just now. I was given a fake number to fax my proof to. The number eight eight eight two two two three three three three goes to a big truck dealer. I asked for my dispute number like I was given the other 3 times. I was told there is no dispute number this time. They hung up and I called back. The next agent saw no record of my previous dispute. Synchrony/care credit won't even allow you open a dispute now. Their agents will tell you a dispute is open but they will not provide any proof that you did. Scammy all the way through.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE TEAM. I WAS SET UP FOR THIS BY A DENTAL OFFICE WHO GAVE FALSE INFO. WORST IS, THE CUSTOMER CARE REPS HAVE NO CLUE. MANAGER PROMISED SOMETHING BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED EITHER. MIS INFORMATION TO CUSTOMERS, POOR KNOWLEDGE OF REPS AND MANAGERS. WORST EVER

If I can just give negative 10 to this dishonest company I will do that. My original purchase amount was 9300 with a promotional period of 24 months without interest as long a you made the full payment. I made it sure that
I was paying automatically every month of $400 and I know that its over the monthly payment of 390.
They tell you that you have deferred interest but will not allocate your payment to the proper no interest bearing purchases.. They told me I had to call them for them to allocate the money to prevent interest.
Even when I thought I was making the payment for the balance for my account,I still got big interest charges.
This company is dishonest and the customer service reps don't do what they say they are going to do which is allocate the deferred interest charges. You don't even know it until your next statement after they take your money and then don't care when you call them to dispute the charges.
It's best to let the Better Business Bureau know what is going on so they can help dispute.
Never use this card. I'm going to throw it away. It's not worth it. Ice got better cards with less APR.

I had an account of $1400. I was told no interest if paid off in a year. I made a payment of $300 at first witha check and snail mail. I assumed I would receive another paper bill. I did not. Email said I was late. I called and said I did not receive a paper bill. They said yes you did and you owe $39 interest. I wanted to pay it off right then on the phone buy you can't by credit card. i wrote a check, mailed it promptly. Today I get a bill for $1.99. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

New account x3 mos. Used card 2x. Tried to pay, it says payment did not go through and charged me. I tried again and it did the same thing. They closed my account, I never heard from them outside of the normal statement. Took me until the 3rd month to get the app to work. I gave up and tried to pay off the $230 I owed and they returned it again. My bank does not reflect any attempts showing up. But I'm getting charged for return payment fees from them and no payment plus interest. Worst EVER! Tried to contact and they take notes, and no one does a thing. Chat bot it a joke. I just want this closed and done with.

Stay far away as you can, I was reviewing my email, when I noticed that my bill with them is back to $2600. I have been making monthly payments, even paying more than what was expected to pay. I have call them 3x because I could not understand what happened. The third time I called and inquired about why did it go back up I was told its because I didn't finish paying the promotion. But they can offer another promotion .. if I was to pay $1,400 by January 31st they will waive the $1600 interest fee. What???? Ok I get it I am suppose to be on top, but they have no problem sending emails to remind you to pay their bills. And today 1.2.25 I had called and was told that I only paid $273.00 toward the promotion. Are they serious from 2022-2024 only $273.00 . I had asked for my statements. The interest if you do not finish paying the promotion is 26.75% that is more than real credit cards. This is a rip off. After I pay them off, never again. So stay far away.

To whoever reading this stay away from care credit. I've had care credit for about 4 years and some change now. I've had 100% on-time payments with Care Credit and they still falsely closed my account and refused to reopen it due to a miscommunication, now I must apply for a new card.

I had accumulated a balance of about $200 since October which I was paying off monthly, which wasn't bad. I just checked my credit karma and noticed there had been a change with my care credit account today, to my surprise my account was closed today. I was confused, as I've been making my payments, and my last payment was on December 20th. It's now January 1st. I have had no emails sent to me concerning any issues. Came to find out through a live agent that my account was closed due to 2 attempts of collecting my scheduled amounts that did not successfully go through on 11/20/24 and 12/04/24. I was not aware of it and If I had it would be an easy fix, had I received an email or any communication of the sort. Now I contacted the agents and asked If I was to make the full payment today would I be able to revive my account due to miscommunication? They then told me once it's closed it cannot be reopened, I would have to pay off the balance and apply for a new account.

Also, my now closed account is in collections which is accumulating interest... and I had no idea till today.

Honestly, I don't know what type of rinky dinky people are now hired but they are trained to take from the consumers not assist. I will not be using care credit anymore.

Terrible credit card and business practices. They have an archaic computer system. When one has several promotional balances that are due on different dates, the payments are not applied to the next promotional balance and interest charges will occur. One has to call the company EVERY MONTH to ensure your payments are applied to the correct promotional balance. Otherwise, you accrue interest charges. When you try and get this resolved, you have to call a different number (800-595-7319). Customer service acknowledged that their computer system is not able to identify the next a promotional balance due. They also acknowledge numerous customer complaints. I have requested a refund on the last three months of interest fees only to be told they will only apply to the last 60 days. And again, remember, this is THEIR computer error and they are charging me for their archaic computer system. The only resolution is to pay off your balances and close the card. OR call EVERY month to make sure they applied the funds to the correct promotional balance. The company intentionally charges you interest fees. DON'T TRUST them and their "interest deferred" charges if paid in full.

I would give a no star review if I could. I have been reading what other people are saying in here and i must say it is startling.
I opened up a Care Credit card in January of 2024 to cover a huge medical bill from an emergency. I had $1000 payments for the last 10 months and always did it on time.
Suddenly, they lower my credit line in half leaving me at a full balance on my card instead of a 50% balance and it has messed up my credit in general.
They said it's because of my credit history but my credit history was better now than it was when I got the card.
Customer Service gets you no where.....Highly recommend that you do not use this service

CareCredit is a predatory institution that feeds of its consumers. They have unethical billing practices to insure they can steal your money. I have had to call them after every payment made to fix the allocation of payments to pay off promotional balances first. This is a tactic to rob you if not monitored. Also, do not mail in your payments! It’s been 3 weeks since I mailed in my payment for a promotional balance due and it’s not been processed. Another tactic to steal your money! The most unethical credit card I have ever held.

I do not recommend anyone to get this card. They gradually apply high-interest fees, and you can only stop these fees by paying the full amount you owe.

My interest fees were $16.75 and jumped up to this month to $188.75. I had a balance of $1494 that unexpectedly increased to $1682, which I noticed was due to interest fees. It's impossible to pay it off with $150 monthly payments. And if you just pay the minimum, your outta luck. Customer service can't help.

You're just in endless debt unless you can afford to pay it off in full. This is ridiculous, especially now with inflation and the cost of living skyrocketing. So be prepared if you decide to get this card, like for dental work as I did. Thought it would help since this card is only for medical and dental. Everyone has their own opinion, though.

Care credit should be there to help people out!! This is for medical only, Things we can not go without . I've made my monthly payments more then minimum for 8 months now and they find every way to nickle and dime you. I owe 407$ my minimum payment is $30 and the interest is 38$ a month. I just don't understand! Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. To make it 10x worse there customer service is pathetic!

DO NOT USE Care Credit, They are practicing unfair and in my opinion unethical business practices. I had an original Care Credit charge of $2797.50. My balance in August of 2024 was $218.23. I made my on time payment of $225. for August. Care Credit did not apply my payment to the $218.23 balance and added over $1500 in interest. This is wrong on every level !!! I am reporting them to every available institution that I can. I am going to my government officials also. I have had this account for many years and I am never late on a payment. I also had been told years ago that the payments are allocated to what is needed. Apparently this is not true and unethical.

They are criminals but the dentist offices help them by selling their product to their patients. I have warned my dentist office about my experience and they shall stop referring people here. After promising interest free credit for 12 months they charged me over $700 interest on a balance under $1,500.00. These are loan shark interest rates at least twice what you should pay for commercial credit of this nature.

I was very surprised today to see a very high interest charge on my account since I already set up monthly auto payment. I thought everything is taken care of and no need to pay special attention. I called to dispute the charge and was told that the charge was because a promotion in March expired in October. However, I never received the original March statement and the online account only allows me to see statements back to May. I have 800+ credit score , never need to pay any interest on any of my credit card in the 20 years that I have credit cards. I always pay my bill on time. This care credit company is very irresponsible and unreliable. I will pay off the remaining balance and never have anything to do with this credit card.

I've been a customer for 2 years. After paying off half of my debt they decide out of nowhere to lower my credit usage. That means that everything I've paid them was for NOTHING. They chose to do this because of INACTIVITY, meaning since I do not use the card, they penalized me for it.... How do you just take all of the payments I've made and lower my credit usage because I didn't use the card? I would tread very careful as that is robbing from the poor and that Synchrony Bank and Care Credit will catch up to you. Do the right thing.

I have been a customer of CC for many years. I've never experienced any problems until this year. THEY HAVE ADMITTEDLY MADE INTEREST ERRORS on my account and on top of it somehow made it impossible for me to access real numbers on app. Can't sign in on line with MY SSN# AND BIRTHDATE! FRAUD, FRAUD FRAUD! DON'T DO ANYTHING WITH THESE CROOKS.
