Cardiff & Vale Credit Union Arvostelua 

I am filing this complaint because I believe Cardiff engaged in misleading business practices and mishandled my personal information.

I applied for a business loan through Cardiff after seeing their advertisement online. I completed their online application and provided sensitive personal and business information, expecting a response regarding my application.

After submitting my application, I received no email, phone call, or any other communication from the company. Several days later, I called Cardiff myself to ask about the status of my application. The person who answered sounded as though they were working from a personal residence rather than a professional business office. During the call, I was simply told that my application had been declined.

While I understand that loan applications can be approved or denied, my concern is that Cardiff never sent me any official notification by email or mail regarding the decision. This lack of communication is unprofessional and raises serious concerns about the company's business practices.

After submitting my application to Cardiff, I began receiving calls and solicitations from multiple other funding companies. I did not authorize Cardiff to share or sell my personal information. This leads me to believe that my personal and business information may have been shared or sold to third parties without my knowledge or consent.

I am requesting that the Better Business Bureau investigate Cardiff's business practices, including:

* Their failure to communicate application decisions to customers.
* Their handling and protection of applicants' personal information.
* Whether they are sharing or selling customer information without proper authorization.
* Whether their advertising and business practices are misleading.

I also request that Cardiff provide a written explanation of how my personal information was used, whether it was shared with any third parties, and, if so, under what authorization. I want confirmation that my information has been removed from their records and will not be shared further.

I believe consumers deserve transparency, proper communication, and protection of their personal information. I hope this complaint helps prevent others from experiencing the same issues.

I’ve been with the Cardiff & Vale credit union for a few years now and they are lovely helpful people. Going to them is nothing like going to a bank, they treat you like a normal person and want to help you get sorted. Also they always direct a few quid into a savings account for you which adds up as you forget it’s there. Always a nice surprise. I have no hesitation recommending them, because they are on our side!!!

I had a fantastic experience securing a loan through Cardiff &Vale credit union. From the start the team were fast, reliable and professional. They took time to clarify any questions before it went to panel which made the process feel transparent and reassuring. Once approved the loan was processed quickly and efficiently. The interest rates were an added bonus. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a smooth and supportive lending experience. What's more the loan repayments include a small amount set aside for savings each month so not only were they lending me money but they are also helping me build up some savings at the same time.

I have been a customer for many years. I pay hundreds to them every month without fail. This commitment was beneficial to me in previous years as my financial situation has been up and down and they. looked outside the box in decisions on my loans. This was after useful discussions on the phone with helpful staff.

I now get a brush off system generated email. My financial commitment is really high. I am now thinking that my savings sit with them for years and i get very little benefit

Sad decline of a once great unit

Always helpful, informative and friendly. The staff call to give regular updates, ask any additional questions and this speeds up the process. I have always had a great experience with the credit union and often recommend them.
