Car & Classic Arvostelua

Sold my classic motorcycle through Car & Classic site advert to the first enquiry. All went well and would definitely recommend their services

Excellent throughout

J'ai trouvé le service et les interlocuteurs très sérieux. Bonne qualité de contact et transaction faite avec facilité

Highly recommended. Super smooth transaction and fast payment

Everything was made very easy for me to deal with the sale of my Mercedes SLK

Todo perfecto. Claro, rápido y fiable. Muy buena gestión en la subasta y te informan en todo momento, incluso fines de semana de semana. 100% recomendable

Ease of use, constant updates.

I bid on a car with no reserv in a live auction
The auction ends and I find the car is was withdrawn at the last minute and will be re auctioned in 2 months time
Car and classic rolled my bid over to the next auction of the car all without contacting me
Someone bidding on a car today is not necessarily going to want to bid on the car in 5 weeks time.

Terrible experience. I selected C&C over Piston Heads because I was pursuaded C&C had a larger customer base. But my car attracted nil bids for 5 days and there was only 1 active bidder in the final few minutes of the auction.
To add insult to injury, C&C then added a £720 fee, which was ruled out by the C&C marketeer, so as to compete on level terms with Piston Heads.
C&C is a disreputable business that promises much, delivers little and imposes shocking fees, which are currently in dispute.
My advice is AVOID C&C - there are much better options to sell a cherished car.

Great communcation accurate description from vendor
Very pleased with car. First class site A+

I have used car and classic many times and the purchases have all gone through smoothly, not hidden surprises, which means they have fully vetted the adverts being placed by the seller.

James kept on top of the situation. The handover and payment were totally fine pleasing both parties.

I had used Car & Classic once before with sucess so naturally went to their website to sell my motorcycle.
They put you in touch with like minded people who understand the classic scene and how important it is to see your cherished vehicle find a good home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Car & Classic to buyers or sellers of classic vehicles.

Top heavy, advert too AI, troublesome payment process

Great experience from the start to finish.
Easy to use website which allows plenty of space for description and the ability to load lots of photos.
This gives buyers a better understanding of the vehicle you’re selling.
Great email updates for questions which allows you to quickly answer questions.
Great experience Thanks

Eventually my car sold for a whisker under the reserve so I'm satisfied with the result. The set up and initial photography went well. However, the subsequent saga of my listing not appearing in any searches due to technical issues with the website did not inspire confidence. I'm sure without these errors it would not have required a re-listing but this is not an experience I would repeat.

I sold my old Mercedes a few months ago here. Everything went fine and I was satisfied. The small thing that I didn't like was the fact that I was usually communicating with one person, and when the sale started there was suddenly some other persons communicating with me, which was a bit confusing.
But generally, good experience.

Great free online service.....Will definitely be using it again...unfortunately there are a lot of time wasters...but that's life!!!... fantastic service..

It is an international platform which ensures the widest base available, but it also makes it susceptible to scammers from certain countries and groups. Zero cost to private sellers and collectors is an excellent base, leaving the site to earn money from advertisers. Unless you need a very quick sale in which case the auction option is available but it does substantially inflate the price of what you are selling!
