Embarrassingly poor company
Embarrassingly poor company! Like many other reviews I’ve had multiple cancelled appointments, waited in for a 2-6 appointment, phone call at 4 to cancel and next available appointment was a month later, roll on to today and exactly the same scenario. The call centre wanted to rearrange for a third time but I declined. I’m a self employed gas engineer and I’ve lost £400 taking these two afternoons off work for no reason. They’re clearly overloading the engineers and leaving no time for possible issues which in domestic properties is a guarantee you’ll encounter.
Do better. And Scottish power stop using this shambles of an outfit.

First of all I would like to thank Scott, the gas engineer in UK north London Edgware area HA8, who came early this morning to save us from the cold and fix the gas meter system. I am very grateful to him and wish him good luck.
Another smart meter repair no show
Another smart meter repair no show - same thing happened six months ago and we waited AGES to reschedule. I waited in, and got a call at 14:02 saying he would come in half an hour. Then another call at five to 4 to say the repairman was not going to make it. Do they actually turn up for ANYONE?! It is really annoying. Now booked for a slot next week - I just looove making work arrangements to be around for no shows...
Constant cancellations
I had an appointment scheduled (at the Power companies request) for 10 Feb, they called an hour before the end of the slot and said that due to unforeseen circumstances they would not be able to attend. This was rescheduled to the 7th of March, when the same thing happened. This was then reschedule to the 14th of March when, - you guessed it - the same thing happened.
Each time I have to arrange to be at home for the day, and to potentially be without power for the appointment, so this is not trivial.
I do appreciate that things happen, but three times in a row is just extremely unprofessional.
Smart meter appointment…
I had a smart meter installation appointment arranged for today, timeslot between 8am and 12 noon. I arranged for my child to be taken to school and took time off work to be called at 1050 to be told that the appointment was cancelled no reason given. He asked if I wanted to reschedule I advised no as this was the second time this has happened and I would go back to UW. Unbelievable this happened for a second time however I should have known better.

A Calisen representative has been caught on camera poking around my property. I’m not even with Calisen so I do not appreciate trespassing on my private property. If I see you again I shall call the police.

We had a brand-new boiler that had just been tested and certified safe, with all the paperwork to prove it. Despite this, their staff decided to cap our gas. When we presented the safety documents, the response was, "I don't care," along with a mix of, "I'm not trained to look at a boiler," and "I don't know what I'm doing."
This unprofessional behavior caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. To make matters worse, the company refused to take responsibility for the damages or even apologize for their employee's actions.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not let them on your property.
rude and aggressive meter reading man
I received a card saying you had tried to read my meter and as I am disabled contacted my supplier to say the I had a smart meter fitted and it must have stopped working , they then set up an appointment . then earlier this week I think the 20th there was a knock on my door and a man wanted to read my meter , I told him he was early and had an appointment for the 23rd he waited when I moved things so he could get to the meter and said he would be the same person ,he said not to worry and he would not be calling on the 23 was very pleasant .then today a knock at the door , same man , I politely said I thought you read the meter 2 days ago . he replied I should have cancelled the appointment for today , and insisted I remove things from the garage again so he could take a picture and went to wait in his car complaining the appointment was for a set time and I should have been ready , he was very rude. I said” do you want me to put in a complaint about you “ his replay “ do what you want “ and people in the street heard the shouting and asked me what was going on. He was very aggressive and threatening and his shouting was overheard by a friend we was visiting and in the kitchen and she was shocked by whet she overhears 2 rooms away
Do not use!
We are with Scottish power and had our smart meter replaced by Calisen.
The experience with the technician was horrific, with him being incredibly rude and unprofessional. Along with him making up a false issue with our boiler, which was completely made up but cost us £170.00 to get this looked at.
I reported our complaint to Calisen who made excuses that the technician did the right thing and made no apology to his poor behaviour.
We have contacted Scottish power and have banned Calisen from coming to our property.
Cannot be Trusted
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this company. My energy provider arranged an appointment with them well in advance, giving them five weeks' notice to address a smart meter repair. On the day of the scheduled appointment, I waited for the entire time slot, but no engineer showed up. I wasn’t informed that they were unable to attend, nor did I receive any follow-up or apology for the missed appointment.
When I called to inquire about the situation, I was told that someone would contact me the following week to reschedule the appointment. Unfortunately, that call never came, so I reached out again. This time, I was informed that I would need to go through my energy provider to make a new booking, despite the fact that they failed to complete the original request.
It’s frustrating that not only did this company fail to fulfill its obligation, but their lack of communication and unwillingness to resolve the issue has been incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend their services based on this experience.

I want to thank Joel for the excellent service and going the extra mile
I want to thank Joel for the excellent service he provided while replacing my meter. He worked quickly and efficiently and even took the time to repair the meter cover. He also supplied me with a display screen to help us monitor our energy usage, But he didn’t just leave it at that he thoughtfully pointed out that the orange light on the display meant my little electric heater was consuming a considerable amount of energy. His attention to detail and willingness to explain things clearly was greatly appreciated.

Not sure why Scottish Power are still using them based on the very poor reviews.
I had an appt booked in for today for 14.00-18.00, they text me to say the appt was ‘at risk’. I called them and they cancelled the appt.
They just don’t give a hoot about customers.
@Scottish Power - look after your customers and bin these cowboys.

Booked an appointment 6 weeks in advance. Booked the day off work and stayed in all day but no one turned up? tried to contact them but still no reply-very poor service

Vinay the engineer who came out to us was exceptional he restored our faith in job well done. He preserved in solving our problem where others had failed. I highly recommend him in particular and the company works for. He Saved my kids from cold elderly mum back with heating electric all back on supply . Thank you Calisen for sending this engineer out of hours.

Had our 3PH electric installed by Vinay Engineer Calisen/Scottish Power. We had great experience. Vinay came he explained his plan and totally satisfied us before he started the work. The work was carried out very professionally. Vinay is very knowledgeable in his work and satisfied us totally. If I was to employ staff I would be looking for person like Vinay he is worth keeping. There are not many person like him in this world.

So-called "Safety Checks"
Have had two Calisen gas meter "safety checks" through Scottish Power this year. I don't have a smart meter. Last time the engineer simply phoned me and asked me to go out (in the rain) and read my meter ("we need it to compare against our computer records"). He said I couldn't submit the reading online so if I couldn't do it then he would arrange to phne back later. In NO WAY was this a safety check - simply their way of pretending they had been out, I suspect. This time, today, the engineer actually did appear and again read my meter - he explained that a "safety check" consists of reading the meter (I submitted a reading to Scottish Power earlier in the week) and "sniffing to see if there is a leak". High tech, eh? Hope he has a good sense of smell - the meter is outside the building. I do wonder how much of my bill goes to pay for this. Anyone want to ask me/check if the meter has a PEB? That might be a useful safety check.
