You may not think that matters to the subject matter which her courses follow but if someone is willing to tell falsehoods to fit a narrative or sensationalist sound bites then I have trouble trusting their “research”

For the main part her courses are regurgitated material from all accessible birthing books and research out their from actual midwives.

Avoid! Talk to a real midwive!

The rebuild and revitalise program is great regardless of what stage of your journey you’re at - lots of modifications available and they’re only around 25 mins along - perfect to squeeze in during naptime or even whilst your LO plays

Lucy and the Butterbean platform truly influenced my pregnancy journey and birthing experience in a wholly positive way. I was terrified about giving birth and felt quite overwhelmed by the amount of information out there, however Butterbean seemed to bring everything together in a way that felt digestible and, most importantly, doable. My husband and I also did the online hypnobirthing and infant feeding course which supported both of us to feel more confident and knowledgeable. One of the biggest things for me was that following this my partner had a clear idea of his role during the birth which meant I was able to relax and concentrate on what I needed to prepare for.
My birth didn't go quite as either of us expected, I had a placental abruption meaning that I had to be rushed out of the delivery room for a category 1 emergency C-section, my partner couldn't be with me and I was put under general anesthetic due to the urgency. However, throughout my labour we felt confident, we were able to ask for slight adjustments and my husband supported me with my breathing and helped me get in the zone. When I was being rushed out I used the hypnobirthing techniques to stay calm and focused so that I could try and reduce any additional stress on our baby at that critical point.
Because of Lucy and Butterbean we were able to make the birth of our daughter a really positive one.

Butterbean has been fab. It’s an excellent resource that’s so useful for be that first time mums or whether this is a subsequent baby.
Having completed a hypnobirthing course in a previous pregnancy, I didn’t feel like it equipped me with everything that I needed.
Butterbean absolutely fills this gaps and I’m really thankful that I found them.

I love Butterbean! I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant, first time mum, and Butterbean has been a lifeline during my pregnancy so far. From the wealth of free information on the Instagram account to the really affordable in depth knowledge in the Butterbean course - I feel like they have really helped prepare me for birth and postpartum more than any other resource or organisation. Within the course, I love how the sections are broken down into easily digestible chunks that make it easy to learn from. The main thing I love about Butterbean is the inclusivity - they don't push one type of birth experience as "best", but are open and inclusive to educating and being sensitive to all potential birthing scenarios. Butterbean has helped me to feel confident and informed moving into my birth, postpartum and feeding journey with my little one.

Butterbean really helped me in my third trimester to understand Labour and prepare for my birth. It really helped me advocate for my choices during Labour and helped me prepare my partner to advocate for me (which was really needed during contractions). I’d recommend accessing ahead of your third trimester in preparation for birth. I’d love some more info on what to expect in your fourth trimester and preparing for what happens to your body at this stage - this came as a bit of a shock for me which I wasn’t as prepared post baby!

I couldn’t have come across butterbean at a better time. Having my first baby it gave me the confidence to feel more informed about my birth plan and choices. Lucy presents the information in a warm, unbiased and clear way. I will 100% be recommending to my friend who recently announced her pregnancy.

I signed up to Butterbean when I was around 30 weeks pregnant. It took me nearly 9 years to fall pregnant with our miracle IVF baby and I wanted to make sure the birth was as safe as possible. My mum had a very traumatic birth with me, so my whole life told me to get an elective c-section or epidural as "no human should have to endure that sort of pain". I came across one of Butterbean's Instagram posts and it really spoke to me. Can our bodies really produce pain killing hormones? Can birth actually be pleasant? I watched all the videos and studied everything religiously. So when I went into labour 2 weeks ago, I knew exactly what my body was doing. 21 hours later, our beautiful baby boy was born, naturally. I listened to hypnobirthing music throughout, held an acupressure comb in one hand with gas & air in the other and can honestly say it was the best experience of my life. No fear, just knowledge, trust and patience. I did it! But I don't think it would have been the same without Lucy's program in my mind - I HIGHLY recommend anyone pregnant signs up - it made something which terrified me all my life become the best this world has to offer. We had a Butterbean day session of Hypnobirthing. We learned absolutely loads and feel so well informed about our choices. We did some really useful exercises and even started our birth plan. The website and Instagram page have given me so much insight and made me feel really well looked after. It's a lovely community. I love the midwife questions too!

Butterbean was recommended to me by a friend and it's been the most informative website so far! I'm 26 weeks along and have actively avoid too much info, as there is allot about pregnancy out there, esp the horror stories! Butterbean was refreshing in the way that all the info is presented in an easy to digest way, without it being too much or scary! I've deep dived Lucy's videos and I think I will keep going back to them for reference and reminders! I love everything so far and plan to join the webinars in future...the whole experience has helped me feel informed and powerful in how I approach my birth and even beyond that, thank you Butterbean and Lucy!

Loving all the content and offered support so far. Website is super easy to navigate your way through and the videos are great support and advice content too. Looking forward to getting booked on the hypnobirthing course soon and excited to see what other courses become available. Butterbean is such a wonderful and supportive resource. I’m 15 weeks pregnant and have used Butterbean for so
many things already: suggestions on positive birth books to read and really interesting and informative seminars on baby sleep. I’ve also used the midwife question time which is so helpful and reassuring. Lucy offers brilliant balanced and informative advice which comes from a depth of knowledge on a huge range of subjects - it’s lovely to know Lucy and Butterbean are there for any questions or worries I have during this time.
