I found this company on line earlier this year. I've now had my third order of meat. Everything is packed well, and the quality of the meat is superb. The delivery date/day is one you can pick to suit you. I'm very pleased with this company.

The most delicious joint of beef we have had in a long time. I ordered a 2.2kg sirloin beef joint for a family gathering. It cooked beautifully and I had lots of compliments on how tasty it was. I will definitely be ordering again. The meat from GJ Douglas is always of excellent quality and is my go to place for meat.

Easter order
I placed an order for local collection. The ordering process was easy and I received an email to confirm when it was ready.
The only disappointment was the beef mince, which was vacuum packed. I understand the reasons why a lot of companies have moved over to vacuum packaging but I find it completely changes the texture of mince. I will go back to using my nearest butcher for mince as he sells it loosely packaged.

We completely understand your preference for loose mince. All of our online orders are vacuum packed as standard to ensure freshness, quality, and safe transport, but as you were collecting in person from our shop, we would have been more than happy to swap the vacuum-packed mince for a loose one, which we always have available over the counter.

It's ok but not amazing…
It's ok but doesn't taste particularly special.
I was hoping the Ribeye would taste like it does in a restaurant, but maybe I'm expecting too much and it's the way I'm cooking it. I'm happy to try other cuts though. The chicken was good, as you could really tell the difference Vs supermarket crap. The GF sausages were ok too, but I'd prefer them with no fillers at all if you have any?.

Great to hear you enjoyed the chicken! We take pride in offering high-welfare poultry, and it’s fantastic that you could taste the difference.
As for the sausages, our gluten-free plain pork is made with high-quality ingredients, though we do include some seasoning for flavour. Otherwise, it would be only a pork mince in casings.
