For over 9 months bucks council failed to send me a form to fill in for ?benefits. l continusly sent recorded del.letters saying l have not received this form?common sense you would send a form to that person.not b.c they sent me a court summons.l was told unpaid c/tax? all my benefits had been stopped immediately l gathered all letters etc and sent to courts well in advance of the court date.plus the truth l cannot hear! Heard nothing.now over 9 months of trying to sort this out lve been sent a letter from enforcement ..because of none payment of c/tax? B.c were sending me c.tax figures for full c.tax how can this me my fault?l wrote to b.c as l had proof of all details.and 7/9 rec.del letters to them heard nothing. Lived in my home 43 years.now when these hard nuts come sat.15th.at 8am l dont have any luxuries but lm leaving my home..LIKE THOUSANDS OF HOMELESS ALL CAUSEF BY THE COUNCIL TAX.lm a pensioner never had any debts or owed money.b.cshould be bery careful bucks is a violent place.the saying..WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND.GOODBYE EVERYONE.MAY 025 UP TO TODAY.INOCENT SINGLE PENSIONERS ARE DAILY BEING THREATENED BY B.C

I had an excellent experience with Kinta, who handled my HMO licence application.
As a first-time landlord applying for an HMO licence, I had a lot of questions throughout the process. Kinta was incredibly professional, approachable and patient from start to finish. She provided me with her contact number and always made the time to return my calls whenever I needed clarification.
I often had long lists of questions, but she took the time to answer every one thoroughly and never made me feel rushed. Her clear guidance and knowledge gave me the confidence to understand the HMO licensing process, what was required for my property, and what wasn't necessary.
It's rare to receive such responsive and supportive customer service. Kim's professionalism, patience and willingness to help made what could have been a stressful process much easier. She is a real credit to the HMO enforcement team, and I sincerely appreciate all of her help.

Buckingham childrens social services are worst department I have ever come across in my life. It should be disbanded. They DO NOT keep any confidentiality and are not to be trusted. They have caused so much harm in dealing with our family and caused us so much heartache. They have a really bad attitude and lie to cover themselves.

Terrible service , most of their employees work from home and are borderline incompetent . They charge a fortune in council tax to live in an unclean dump full of rubbish . They appear to spend a vast amount of our money on free taxi rides for people that don't fancy walking to school ( documented in the national press) . If you're on benefits Bucks Council are great , if you have to pay full council tax you're an Orange to be squeezed for every last penny . I'd rather have Homer Simpson in charge of Bucks Council than the current circus .

It is now 9.53 on Monday, 8th June. It has taken from nine o’clock this morning to make the payment. The whole process is such a shambles, I was beginning to lose the will to live. I am fairly competent with tech, but you would need to be some sort of genius to circumnavigate this site. The first time I paid, it was a simple process- ring up, go to payments, get your sticker, Roberts your father’s brother. I am now going to stuff my face with as much cake, fizzy drinks, popcorn, I am so stressed. My diabetes will have to wait.

Fix my street is a waste of time! They just close the report with some vague suggestion that they might do something if they have staff. We have unauthorised HGV vehicles parking in the street and nobody from the council parking team can be bothered to come out and deal with it. What’s the point of having Fix my street if they’re not going to do exactly that!? Pointless waste of space this Council

Do not bother paying for a garden waste subscription service. It will never be collected unless you log a complaint which gets very irritating to do every 2 weeks.

They removed the slide from my local playground :(. Waste of Public Money

Don't try using the chat line you will waste a lot of time, get frustrated and still not receive any help. After several attempts at phoning I managed to speak to someone who was helpful and resolved my query. Needed a lot of time but eventually phoning and not selecting an option gets an answer.

Nothing has changed in Ten years, the children's with disabilities team social services in Wycombe area continue to block medical treatment, delay medical appointment, delay schooling, restrict schooling at this point it's clear they're not here to help the children of high Wycombe but rather delay them.

Again this week our food waste collection was missed, we complained, but we have had no response from the Council

Food waste collectors are too lazy to collect food waste on Ailward Road where houses are located along a short footpath, then accuse residents of not presenting it! We have had made several complaints about non-collection, only to be to be told that they would not uphold our complaints as we “hadn’t presented our food caddy for collection”. This is a lie as our caddy is always at the edge of the footpath!

The Council suggested that we fork out for a Ring doorbell with time stamped video, so we can prove that there was no collection. Will they pay for this or can we take the cost for this off our Council Tax Bill?

If the Council checked which operatives were working on the many times we have complained about this, I bet it would be the same ones each time. Perhaps addressing this with the operatives rather than accepting their get out of jail free “Food caddy not presented” lie, it would stop residents getting so fed up with them.

Perhaps we should ask for a reduction in our Council Tax to reflect services not given?

Please note - We have no issue with refuse and recycling collection, they are regular as clockwork.

I raised the following complaint with BCC on 5/2/25

"I first raised the issue of pooling of water outside my house in April 2024.

Finally on 30 October 2024, I got the following e mail from the so called project manager

Morning Simon,

Thanks for your further communication regarding the ponding of water outside your drive.

I have raised an order for an extra gulley to be installed outside to take the water away.

I anticipate these works should be completed within 6 - 8 weeks, I will contact you when I have a scheduled date closer to the time.

Sincere apologies for the delays in these works.

A 6-8 week completion would have been end of December. We are now six weeks on from this and the work is not done. Furthermore I have sent five e-mails chasing for an answer and left two phone messages. I have not had a word of response

I did the project manager the courtesy of telling him I was making this complaint. Two weeks on I have heard nothing from either him or BCC. An utter disgrace. They are so arrogant they don't think they are accountable to anyone

An update- another month has rolled by. I think it is 153 days since I heard from the project manager despite numerous attempts to contact him. I assume he has died so will dust down my ouija board

I finally get a reply on 25 February from Mick Harris- "I can confirm that the works are scheduled to take place from Monday 24 to Thursday 27 February 2025."

When I returned to the UK on 7 March, the work is not done. I ask for an explanation of how you can make an estimate part way through a window on 25 February and still miss the window. I send a picture to Mick Harris clearly showing the work is not done. He tells me "we will liaise with the service area and aim to provide you with a response within 10 working days, though we will let you know if further time is needed to fully respond to you". Ten days passes- no response, no update.

Next in steps Kate Michelmore to tell me the work will be done "this summer".

It is a world where time stands still, professionalism is zero and there are simply no consequences

Despite ten days ago being told the work will be done "this summer", workmen turned up yesterday to do the work. No one at BCC seems to have the faintest idea what is going on

Disgusting. I rang Social Services after raising a concern about my son and his welfare with his school. 2 days later the school had not replied. I have Parental Responsibility and children live with me. So I called Social Services and reported as had no reply and said my son is potentially being given and overdose of a prescription drug. They said a Social Worker would be in touch. 3 hours later I called and was told the manager shut the case. No one had called me. I said I have a concern about the safety of my son and no one called to ask why and they just shut the case and never told me or gave me a reason why. There are no words, just disgraceful negligence to ignore an immediate and justified concern for which I have evidence of yet they closed the case and never contacted me. My son is still at risk as the school will not meet me and Social Services have ignored my concern about a child at risk, and still at risk. Can anyone help??

They are absolutely useless, they don't care about problems reported to them.

BCC are a law unto themselves. Legally however, they are obligated and answerable to their constituents, they must answer to US. Every single person I speak to has a story of their incompetence, mismanagement, inexperience, but mostly their non support and ignorance of local legitimate genuine concerns from withdrawing an 80 year olds bus pass because she can’t fill in paperwork to validating planning applications that are factually completely incorrect. It’s incomprehensible. If you want to officially complain. They have to first investigate themselves 😂 It’s worth doing though as you then get to the government ombudsman if still unhappy. Protest! Guidance is on the internet and interestingly protocol of how they should be conducting themselves.

They owe my elderly neighbour £7000.
They stopped her single occupancy discount immediately when she needed live-in carers. All the forms required were completed and she was told it will be resolved. Nothing. I then spoke with the Local Counsellor and Head of Revenue at SBCC and they told me it will be resolved… 3 years ago!! Still nothing and the latest council tax bill is in… and still no single occupancy discount!
