Magnificent service, customer interaction, hosting and knowledge of the EV. I can not recommend Browns of Richmond highly enough

I had a very disappointing experience with Browns of Richmond.
From the outset, the vehicle preparation on a £19,000 Ioniq 5 was poor and not to the standard you would expect from a professional dealer. More concerning, however, was the lack of transparency around the service history. At the point of sale, I was not provided with any service records and was told this was because the vehicle had a “digital service history.”
After purchase, I took the step of contacting a main dealer to verify this, only to discover that no digital service history existed on their system at all. This raised serious concerns about the accuracy of the information I had been given.
Unfortunately, once payment had been made, any sense of customer care or support seemed to disappear entirely. When I raised these issues and attempted to reject the vehicle within 30 days, the dealership refused to accept this.
As a result, I was left with no real option but to sell the car back to them at a significant financial loss—an incredibly frustrating and avoidable outcome.
Overall, this was a very poor experience marked by questionable information and a lack of after-sales support. I would not recommend Browns of Richmond to anyone.
Damaged rear bumper I insisted on replacement prior to purchase, Odd tyres fitted to replace damaged michelin ones.
No digital service history shared with me until 3 weeks after purchase, one sheet of paper from halfords. I reluctantly accepted a substantial financial loss as I just wanted to cut ties with this dealership and walk away from this car.
The response to my review is exactly as I'd expected from them, Lies told to make me look like an awkward customer. I've only told the truth and pleased to get rid of the car and buy a brand new ev from a main dealer. I'd have struggled to sell it on privately with a few services from Halfords.

I couldn’t be happier with my new car. The whole buying process was simple, relaxed, and actually enjoyable. From the initial inquiry Ian was friendly, honest, and never pushy, which made a huge difference. Driving the car feels fantastic—quiet, responsive, and surprisingly economical. It’s exactly what I was hoping for and more. A big thank‑you to the team especially Ian for making the experience so positive.

The salesmen Ian was great from start to finish, helped me a few days later to transfer my Tesla over to me on the app, with no issues, gave me the impresion he was always at hand, lovely environment inside the building, everybody seem so friendly

The garage provides lovely customer facilities and is not like traditional ‘large’ garages. It has a lovely relaxed/homely atmosphere.
Nothing is too much trouble and every staff member I crossed paths with was helpful and courteous.
I had my car serviced there. It was done so in a timely manner and I was kept informed of progress. The car needed a couple replacement parts and the service was excellent and competitively priced.

We were wanting a replacement for our first electric car and called at the garage after a holiday in Yorkshire. The reception we got was professional and courteous. We were instantly impressed with the range of electric cars available. We were able to test drive a Kia Nero after we explained what we wanted the for. We had a choice of 3 colours.
Staff obviously enjoy working at the garage. The reception area is very welcoming and attractive. Staff knowledge of electric vehicles is exceptional.
On the day of the handover my husband collected the car which was extremely well presented and nothing was too much trouble explaining the many impressive features of the car.
We highly recommend this garage and can see why they have won three awards in the short time they have been established.

Recently purchased a Tesla from Browns. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent.
Ian the sales person was very knowledgable and helpful, even sending me a video of the car twice, because the 1st time it was raining and he wanted to ensure I could see the car in good conditions.
We never felt under any pressure at any point in the process.
To cap it all we had a lovely day out in Richmond when we went to collect the car. The office is lovely, more like a Bistro than a car salesroom and all the staff were excellent, particulary Linda who kept us topped up with drinks and biscuits.

I was genuinely impressed with the service I received, from the warm welcome at the door and offer of refreshments to the professional and pressure-free purchasing of my new car . The staff were polite, friendly and really helpful without making me feel like I was being pressured into a purchase. The whole experience was a real pleasure and I would not hesitate to recommend Browns.

On a short break in Richmond, the car started showing low tyre pressures. Dropped in to Browns on the offchance, They fitted us in, despite obviously being busy. Kept us informed, gave us coffee and biscuits, and sorted us out. Thanks Laura!
