Bravebrowser Arvostelua 79

So far, it knocks all the other browsers out of the park. I've just dumped Google, and Firefox uses too much resources. Edge is Microsoft malware which keeps installing itself every time I uninstall it. With Brave it uses about half the resources of the others and runs without glitches and has its own built in adblock and security. So my praises to them. Not sure about the negative views given on here, but after what I've been through with the others, this is a pleasant change. Could do with more extensions though, like a video downloader etc. Certainly warrants 5 stars from me.

I subscribed to Premium Brave Leo AI, since they claim that since June 2025 all their LLMs are self-hosted (and thus private). I attempted to take forward with Leo AI an issue I need help with. Here are my concerns:

1. I seem to spend ages, and ages, and ages, iteratively going over again and again and again with Brave Leo AI, what Leo AI has replied with. i.e., it seems to take forever fine tuning Brave Leo AI's understanding of inputs I've given Brave Leo AI, fixing Brave Leo AI's exaggerate and/ or unsubstantiated answers, fixing Brave Lei AI over-corrections, and reminding Leo AI of things it has forgotten from earlier in the conversation.

2. I was eventually given this message by Brave Leo AI:

"This conversation is long and Leo may start forgetting things soon. You can get longer conversations by switching to a premium model, or you can clear the chat to reset it."

That message is BS. I'm already using Premium Brave Leo AI.

3) At this point, I am unable to enter further input to that convo I was trying to progress with Brave Leo AI. I have to start a new chat. All input I have already submitted over a number of hours, will be forgotten by Leo in the new chat, meaning I've to start the conversation again from scratch.

4) Brave Leo AI didn't even give any notifications that the Leo's context window (i.e. working memory), had been reached, e.g., 75%, 80%, or 90%. Such warnings could have allowed me to use the remaining context window, to try to optimise accurate, clear & concise info with which to start the new chat. Instead, I was only notified when the context window reached 100% meaning it is the end of that conversation.

A bad browser with very clunky performance; I didn't like it at all.

I have used Brave for about 6 years, until recently when I noticed that they have embedded background ads into my browser. There is no way to block them that I can find and I find them more intrusive and annoying than any ads I would encounter while browsing the Web. Brave is just another Trump. Full of Lies. I no longer use this intrusive useless browser.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Brave Browser.
Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Browser, der Datenschutz und das blocken nerviger Werbung als haupt Ziel hat und das habe ich glücklicherweise bei Brave gefunden.
Der Browser ist leicht zu nutzen, hat viele Einstellungen und auch eine gute Nutzer Oberfläche.
Was auch ganz schön ist, das man fürs Werbung anschauen BAT bekommt. Das ist ein Coin von Brave den man für gesponserte Werbung von werbenden Unternehmen bekommt.
Auch nur wenn man will, wer keine bezahlte Werbung schauen will muss es nicht!
Das ist nur optional und wird einem nicht aufgedrängt, was ich sehr angenehm finde.
Wieviel man im Endeffekt dafür bekommt weiß ich nicht, da ich den Browser erst seit ca. 2 Monaten verwende und seit 1 Monat die Funktion für bezahlte Werbung verwende.
Was auch noch schön ist, dass man nicht die ganzen gesponserten Unternehmen angezeigt bekommt so wie bei Google.
Denn ich will nicht ohne es zu merken und ohne Kennzeichnung zu Partnern von Google geschickt werden.
Für mich ist es wichtig gescheite such Resultate zu sehen und nicht nur nicht gekennzeichnete Werbung.
Was auch noch schön bei dem Browser ist, das es eine eingebaute Ki hat die bei den suchanfragen hilfreiche Vorschläge gibt und das komplette kostenlos!

Alles in allem bin ich bis jetzt sehr zufrieden, jedoch funktionieren manche Webseiten einfach nicht, die bei anderen Browsern ohne Probleme geladen werden können.
Deswegen gibts auch nur 4,5 Sterne von mir.
Wenn das noch gefixt wird gäbe es auf jedenfall 5 Sterne!

Excellent for audiobooks, podcasts, and guided meditations without any ad interruptions, but no better than any other browsers for other things.

Most streaming videos get sketchy. Some may not play.

Complicated settings. Often get unwanted small popup windows from Brave itself! Some website settings deleted automatically once browser closed in spite of attempts to adjust settings.

I started using it for blocking ads, but I found it very useful not only because of the ads very fast. I found the crypto wallet built in as a nice touch. Very useful for internet users, especially for gamblers like me 😃
Yes, there are a few sites that don't run through this browser, but it's not even worth taking 1 star for it, because this is a free, useful browser with good features.
So, finally - I'm very satisfied, and recommend it to use :-)

Tried this for about an hour. I hate Google and wanted an alternative BUT this is NOT IT so do NOT bother they are LIARS. Supposed to come with a free VPN.
Very Poor Negative. What is the point of ANY VPN if it does NOT work??? I wanted to access Sky emails and ITVX while I am in the Dominican for a few months. It does NOT work. Forget this is a complete waste of space Very Poor Negative sums this crap browswser up. Had I seen the 2.7 rating would not of bothered I would give MINUS 5 for lying

I keep getting windows pop-ups for "earn BAT and other crypto now" and "Store you crypto with us" and i cant find ANY setting on how to turn them off, the problem arises as for my work i need browser windows pop up and that means i cant just turn off the brave pop-ups entirely. 2 stars

It is a decent browser when it actually works (IE: when Brave doesn't do random things to create work for me). Today the browser has decided it will open in a smaller sized window. The previous 2-3 times it does this it has lasted for a week or 2. I am sure most people have absolutely nothing better to do than resize a window because Brave has decided to open a window more useful in a cell phone. Another Brave 'special' is the changing of the Home screen. Mine is set to open in Google Search. Somehow it changed so I went to Settings where it actually was set to that although Brave can't be bothered to open to what I want & instead shows some Brave screen on opening. And finally it seems to randomly save and use password/auto fill data.
All this junk may be ok but if (when) you actually need help it is a joke. Their Help Search is terrible as it never gives up any result remotely close to the inquiry. There is also a community but I have not been able to get any information from it as apparently people are supposed to scroll through (80000?) results to find an answer to a simple question. Once I did find out how to email for help. If I remember correctly they answered 6 or 8 weeks later. I emailed them back because I did not even recall what problem I had. That was the 1st time I removed it. I think today is the 3rd time. It's too bad because it is good except it's so frustrating to use.

Great browser, fast, private and has good customization. A lot of trackers have been blocked in a short amount of time!

Brave blocks all the adverts on YouTube for free and that's an unbeatable feature in my opinion. I'm so pleased to have found a browser that does that. I'll never go back to Chrome.

Il serait parfait pour les utilisateurs lambda comme moi, mais personnellement, il a un grave défaut que je n'arrive pas à corriger : alors que ça a fonctionné des années, suite à une énième réinstallation de Windows et Brave, je ne peux plus me connecter à mon compte facebook ! Identifiants incorrects, m'affiche t'il ! Faux, puisque je peux me connecter avec Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opéra... J'ai tout essayé, rien à faire ! Donc, je l'ai viré, à regret, car je l'appréciais pour sa confidentialité.
