Love Bowens pies but they let me down with the last order of cheese and potato pies!! They would have been delicious if the poato had been cooked more!

Thanks so much for your kind words about our pies Kathleen. Really sorry to hear the Cheese & Potato ones weren’t quite right for you this time round. They were on sale as part of a limited run using a new season of spuds which are naturally a bit firmer than what we usually use in our Cheese & Onion pies. I'm sorry to hear that they weren't to your taste. We really do appreciate your feedback and we’d love to make it up to you next time!

Delicious pies
Delicious pies - I tried everywhere to get a traditional Butter pie and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The meat pie was so tasty. I only have two pies (out of 6) left to eat. I will certainly be ordering more.

Ah we love this, thank you Mrs Gilmour! There's nothing quite like a proper Butter Pie. We’re so pleased we lived up to your expectations, it means a lot. Sounds like you’ve nearly polished off the box too… we’ll be here when you’re ready to order more!

The pies were very tasty and the pastry not too thick.
Downside to this was THE delivery by DPD
There was a 24 hour delay on delivery. The ice pack had melted luckily the pies. Were fine

Thanks so much for your review Carol. I’m really pleased to hear you enjoyed the pies and that the pastry hit the spot!
I’m really sorry about the delay with DPD. Unfortunately, unexpected courier delays can occasionally happen (though not very often) and are unfortunately out of our hands. That said, we completely understand how frustrating it is when things don’t arrive on time.
Just to reassure you, our pies are packed in temperature controlled packaging that keeps them safe and fresh in transit for up to 48 hours. It’s normal for the ice pack to melt during its journey - its the insulation inside the box that works together with the cool pack to keep everything at a safe internal temperature.
Thank you again for your order and kind words. We’d love to bake for you again soon!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Kevin. I’m really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent pies. That is never the experience we want for our customers.
Just to clarify, we did respond to both of your emails promptly. In our second message, we also mentioned that sometimes replies can land in spam or junk folders, which might explain why you didn’t see them.
As outlined in our first reply, the pies you ordered were our limited run of Lancashire Cheese & Potato Pies rather than our regular Cheese & Onion. These contained a new season of potatoes that were a little firmer in texture and we’re really sorry if they weren’t to your taste.
We always take customer feedback seriously and genuinely appreciate you getting in touch to share yours. If there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The pies are delicious
The pies are delicious, but the cellophane wrapping around some of them was split when they arrived. I don't think that this affects the longevity of the pies as I froze them immediately on receipt.

First time order.
I've had pie deliveries from different companies before, bit I have to say the pies I got this time were delicious. Just the right amount of filling and the pastry is nice and flaky. All in all very pleased with this delivery and will definitely be back for more

Best I've tasted for decades …
Top class Lancashire savoury baked products. Rich pastry and with actual filling inside rather than the 2/3 gravy you often find nowadays. A nostalgic reminder of home.

Honestly great experience. Wide variety of pies and pasties on the website. They arrive well packed with cooking instructions for oven, microwavey and airfryer.
Only eaten half my order so far and they are lush. Being in Scotland we have good pies however I do miss a Meat and Potato and it was yummy in my tummy.
