Boston Tea Party Cafes Arvostelua 

Hello,

Today we visited Boston Tea Party again. I ordered shakshuka, and unfortunately found a piece of rubber in my food.

I showed it to one of the waiters. He apologized and asked if he could do anything for me, but that was all. There was no initiative to properly investigate the situation, and it honestly felt like this kind of issue is treated as something normal.

About five minutes later, the waiter came back and said that “usually we use blue kitchen items, but this one is yellow, although we have checked everything.” This explanation did not make sense to me.

I suggested that this could be verified using the cameras, as it would clearly show that I took this piece out of my mouth.

I am quite disappointed with how this situation was handled and expected a more serious response.

I am giving 3 stars because normally, when we visit Boston Tea Party, everything is good both the food and the service. However, this experience felt very strange and disappointing.

Gluten free afternoon tea. I was excited to try this- but considering the Boston tea party has very characterful and ‘homemade’ vibe - I was disappointed. We had some lovely sandwiches - no complaints there. However our selection of gf cakes and scones were clearly grabbed from the nearest supermarket (the range of gf cakes in supermarkets is not wide - so it’s pretty obvious) If you’re going to offer a gf afternoon tea - pls do some research and find a supplier that can provide some comparable options to your standard offerings - coeliacs are fed up with being offered a substandard alternative.

A friend and I went to the Plymouth BTP for lunch today. I chose the Avocado & Ricotta on Toast, with a side of poached egg on top. It looked delicious when it arrived, but then I ate a mouthful. OH NO!! CORIANDER!! I'm one of the people in the genetic group that cannot abide Coriander; even the tiniest bit makes me feel yucky.

I mentioned it to the lovely waitress, Zoe, and - exhibiting superb customer service skills - she immediately removed it and had another identical meal made for me without the Coriander (which was absolutely delicious!).

I said that Coriander really ought to be listed on the menu as it's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of genetics: some of us just can't help it if we hate it. Within minutes the Manager emailed Head Office to suggest it.

I can't remember ever having had such amazing customer service at any other restaurant. Combine it with friendly staff, great food at a reasonable price, and a nice atmosphere, and BTP in Plymouth is a real winner. My friend and I will certainly be returning.

Visited Chichester BTP today and so glad I did. The service and staff were attentive friendly and welcoming. I was there for quite some time and it was a pleasure to see how well they looked after their customers. Thank you so much for

The Cafes and Staff particularly are amazing; what lets this company down is their Customer Care! I regularly used the Boston Tea Party App but visits were not being logged on their 10 visits for a free Coffee, when I took this up with them, they did nothing to correct this. So in true consumer reaction I don't use them now. Customer Service is grossly letting down the staff in the Cafes!! You should be ashamed.
