Disappointing Stay
Room smelt very musty, very basic facilities. Food was very average. Billing system designed to over charge in Hotels favour. Left feeling very underwhelmed and would not recommend based on the room we had and food we eat. Bill manipulated to confuse with upgraded food package , not wanted , being charged without concent and this causes considerable over charging that the reception kept telling was done to save money i. Clearly not in our case, however remained in place for payment.
In thier favour, the Spa facilities were very good, waiting staff well trained and receptionist on arrival very pleasant..
Knocked £50.00 quid off bill for room smell. Sadly as a birthday treat , the £50.00 quid felt insulting. I just wanted a lovely night away, spa, fine dining experience. Disappointing , have stayed in far nicer venues that don't over boast about facilities to this level.
