I love this supermarket is sells quality items much better than Waitrose.
I’ve always found the staff friendly and I’ve visited Kirkby Lonsdale, Ilkley, Clitheroe, Settle, Kendal and Penrith stores so you could say I am a fan.

Booths Penwortham is excellent. Great staff; good well cooked freshly cooked food.
Just sometimes on a Monday staff are short but those who are there give all they can and work really hard to keep the busy popular cafe going well. Never disappointed with quality I go often!

Attended a cheese and wine event at the Longton store on Friday night .What a great start to the BH weekend .Pete,from
the Penwortham store
was very knowledgeable about the chosen wines and Bev delighted with her cheese tasting suggestions.What a great asset they both are to this Lancashire company !
We are already planning on buying some of the cheeses and the
Booths own Burgundy to do a
follow up evening with friends .

I have just eaten a Booths beef stroganoff ready meal and I can safely say it was the worst ready meal I have ever eaten.
It was tasteless,watery and the beef was like rubber and the rice was like bullets.
This needs to be addressed as I normally find Booths produce of a high standard and this product was very poor quality.

The shop itself was an good experience. Very expensive good quality food sold in the stores.

The whole experience was completely let down by us receiving a parking charge for being 12 mins over the hour that was free. We didn't think we had been an hour as we only got a couple of items. The pics said otherwise. Unless of course the camera times are rigged which is entirely possible.

We approached the store but they wouldn't do anything. Head office provided the receipt. We have appealed but feel that's not going to go well.

So we won't be shopping there again and we will be telling everyone we know about our experience. So the impact is loss of revenue for the store. The carpark and store were almost empty which should have told us something. Only looked like holiday makers in there.

We just want other people to be aware when visiting booths stores that now employ parking eye to manage their car parks. We attended the Kendal store on the 5th of July to have lunch with our daughter and husband as it was her birthday and shop for groceries upstairs in the shop. As we have always done since the new system was introduced, we entered our car registration plate at the terminal inside the café when we got to the counter at our turn. We were in the store and café for one hour and 32 minutes. The free parking allows 2 hours free parking if going to café as well as shop. To our surprise last week we received a parking fine for £100 saying that we had been parked over the hour without a valid parking ticket. We have tried to contact parking eye and they do not respond. We are now in the appeals process. We contacted the store itself thinking that they would obviously be able to help as we could prove with bank statements we had Been in their café and their shop on that day and stayed only one hour 32 minutes that is free, and that they could rectify this for us without us having to go through this process with the parking company. Please be aware because booths completely wash their hands of any responsibility around their car park telling me I had to go directly to the parking company and they could not help me. Having visited there every single week virtually between there and carnforth store , we are astounded that they are refusing to become involved in what is obviously a problem with either their terminal or other function of the parking arrangement. You will also struggle hugely to rectify this with parking eye as they are notoriously difficult to get hold of and are bullies . I wonder if anyone else has had this difficulty.

Normally have no complaints about this store , but unfortunately this morning I have, only popped in to get some lovely roast ham from the deli counter both ladies were busy one making sandwiches and the other washing up, I stood there for a minute or so neither one acknowledged me ! I understand everyone is busy but the one washing up was facing me and she could have said “give me one minute “ but nothing she only looked at me as I was leaving ! So took my shopping elsewhere.

I was made very welcome by Lola at the Kirby Lonsdale Branch.

She was so polite. It made my day.

Booths is the best supermarket by a long shot. Better than Waitrose, better than Sainsbury's.

High quality food and friendly staff.

It's not perfect, and I would rather shop at local organic farm-shops if there were any, but in the world of supermarkets, it's the best there is.

I sadly had an issue with a tote bag from here and reached out to their customer service team to ask for any assistance. Thomas answered my email and was so kind in sourcing a complaint as the bag sadly had a manufacturing issue. He kept me updated and was so friendly while sorting it out! Really grateful for the wonderful support and getting a resolution to my issue. Thank you!

Just had beef stroganoff ready meal. Can I say this was the worst meal I’ve ever eaten Nd I’m 82

Great shopping in store...but shockingly bad website compared with any other supermarket. Tyring to see all their wine and prices - you just can't...it is hopeless and is nothing like the instore experience.

Went shopping to Booths Burscough. My wife and I loaded our things onto the conveyor belt behind another customer as only two tills were open on a Friday afternoon.
The cashier then tells us in a rather shrill manner that we can't put our things on there. We ask why not as they always go on the conveyor belt. He then states that it's not working and understandably we reply that how are we expected to know that.
That's the start of a rather bizarre customer experience . We then state that he may have a sign or open one of the other ten tills closed and that he may wish to be a bit more civil .
The cashier then has a go at us, we state that the whole thing is fing ridiculous. A statement of the situation not a threat to the cashier.
When the manager plus three others turn up to resolve , the cashier then attempts to turn the tables by claiming the swearing was offensive against him. ( It really didn't have the look of someone who had never heard a f word). In the meantime when the other staff members are between them trying to work out a solution. I know , hardly a huge issue. He then offers to take me outside for a fight onto the car park. Unbelievable !
I relay this to the manager when he attempts to resume his efforts. What response would you expect to a threat of violence against a customer , by an employee truly turning the tables again. Nope the cashier was still left in his seat serving customers in his own Booths way.
Here's the thing though , the only training these workers have is about looking after themselves, not tolerating abusive behaviour etc. Why ? Because it costs the company big money if said employees shout victim ,go off with the trauma and still claim a wage.
Of the customer ? Well there's just the threat of physical harm and violence by your Booths cashier. Really hard to fathom. So if you fancy a threat of violence with your shop go to Booths Burscough and meet the serial offenders.

I love Booths it's the only supermarket in Britain that manages to store their food correctly and provide good customer service. The new lunch menu is an added bonus as well. If I can afford to shop at Booths for the rest of my life I will.

Has a great range from cheese, delicious, meat and a fish counter. Only supermarket in Lancaster that offers such quality. The staff are very friendly. And there's a curry counter. What more do you want?

Ordere 2 bags of groceries on to good to go very dissatisfied with the contents 1 was bakery just full of processed bread 2nd bag was supposed to be chilled 3 bags of carrots a salad bowl mini corvette and very small box of raspberry’s not worth 5:00 I won’t get anything else from booths and very reluctant to make another purchase as I havnt got money to throw away.

Very disappointing breakfast today at the Cafe in Penwortham, Preston….. stood for 10min at the till to place my order, only to be advised they had ‘stopped serving breakfast’ … and this is due to them running out of hash browns! My daughter wanted smashed avo but was told they had also run out of this too. News flash….. you are situated within a FOOD SHOP!!! If you’re running out of stock either order more or nip into the main shop and buy extra!!
I settled for a fried egg, sausage and bacon, so basically I could order breakfast with individual items (minus the hash brown) only to be charged more!!!
This is my third time here for breakfast and my last!
Oh, I also had to return 3 knives which were dirty for clean knives!!
Lady who served us, Jayne, very abrupt with poor customer service skills.
Overall a Very poor dining experience!!!

I used to love it when we had a Booths in Halebarns and you found buy these lovely quality vegan lentil and sweet potato mash meals, bean salads and things out of the ordinary. It has been replaced with a tacky replacement store. My brother in law and sister visited me and are sad that it's gone. They ended up going into Knutsford as they like it so much. All residents of Halebarns were devastated when we lost Booths and we t was one of the main reasons why I wanted to stay in Halebarns. When I retire I will live somewhere where they have a Booths.

I never eat ready meals, but freshly out of hospital and unable to cook my daughter brought 5 ready meals from booths. What a pleasant surprise, just had king prawn risotto absolutely delicious good portion size full of prawns and nutritious spinach and peas , this excelled any ready meals I’ve ever eaten .
