For anyone considering investing with…
For anyone considering investing with Blu Onx after participating in one of their Zoom presentations or speaking with their investor relations team, I believe my experience is important to know before making a decision.
When I invested, I was told that after holding my investment for 12 months, I could request the return of my investment, provide 90 days’ notice, and receive my money back. I have now held my investment for more than 12 months, requested the return of my funds, and Blu Onx is refusing to return my money. The explanations I am receiving now are very different from what was represented to me when I invested.
I also have serious concerns regarding my 2025 K-1. I elected to compound my dividend rather than receive it in cash, yet my K-1 reported no income to me for 2025. When I questioned this, a Blu Onx sales representative told me that their accounting firm said this was because I invested in August 2025 and, because the interest was being compounded, it would not be reflected until August of the following year.
That explanation makes no sense to me. The fact that income is compounded rather than distributed in cash does not automatically mean there is no taxable income until the following anniversary date. Partnership investors can be allocated taxable income without receiving a corresponding cash distribution, commonly referred to as “phantom income.” If income had accrued or was otherwise allocable to me during 2025, I want to understand why my K-1 reported no income.
What makes this more concerning is that I have been unable to obtain the underlying financial statements necessary to reconcile the partnership’s financial results with its tax reporting and understand exactly why no income was allocated to me.
I also have questions regarding the company’s revenue, expenses, interest obligations, liquidity, and overall financial condition. Without access to the financial statements, I cannot independently determine those answers or reconcile the company’s financial performance with what was reported on my K-1.
These are not hypothetical concerns. I invested my own money. I have held the investment for more than 12 months. I requested my money back and have not received it. My 2025 K-1 reported no income despite my election to compound my return, and I have been unable to obtain the financial information I am seeking to understand the tax reporting and financial condition of my investment.
That has been my personal experience with Blu Onx, and I believe prospective investors should know about it before making their decision.
