Thursday afternoon I called and booked an engineer for Friday morning. 9am to 1pm. I received a confirmation email Thursday afternoon and then a reminder text the morning of Friday asking me to confirm. I received a call at 12.30 Friday saying the engineers van had "broken down" but they could reschedule me in for first thing Monday morning. I declined and said I needed the issue fixing. They wasted my morning and I don't believe the van broke down half an hour before the end window of the engineer visit. Lame and rather see through.

Stay far from this company, biggest scammers ever that are taking advantage of people’s problems.
Extremely unprofessional service I received from this company. Although the drain was unblocked, the overall experience was highly unsatisfactory.
Firstly, the engineer, Alex, left the area in a deplorable state, with waste materials scattered everywhere. His negotiation tactics were excessively aggressive and intimidating, which is completely unacceptable in 2025.
After negotiating, I was charged for one hour £840 (£700 plus VAT). However, I later discovered that the invoice provided was not a valid VAT invoice, raising serious concerns about this company's VAT registration status. I intend to report this issue to HMRC.
Moreover, I attempted to contact their office the following day to speak with a manager or supervisor. Despite being promised a callback on the next working day, it has now been almost three weeks without any response. This lack of communication is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
I am going to repot them to the trading standards as well.

This company is scam. They job which would have taken 1-2 hours and would have cost couple of hundred pounds, they ended up charging me close to £1500 to unblock a kitchen drain. I have written and chased them few times for the review of the case as I believe engineer who came around didn’t behave appropriately and overcharged us by several hundreds pounds. I haven’t got any response/resolution from their side us.

We had a blocked drain in kitchen sink on Tue 09 July’24.My wife had called a local plumber on Tue 09 July’24 to look into the problem and he could not fix the problem as the blockage seems to be in drain pipe which was inaccessible to plumber.

My wife then called “Blocked Drains 247” and she was assured that they fix most of the drain problem in first 30 minutes. First 30 mins labour charge was discussed and job booked for Wed 10th July’24.

Jordan (Drainage Engineer) came at our home about 10 AM on Wed 10th July and spent next 5 hours looking all the drains across the house. Though he fixed the blockage but in our view the money that he charged to fix the blocked kitchen drain (£1416) doesn’t justify the work involved due to following reasons :-

1. He spent 3-4 hours with drainage camera to look drain pipes all around the house to upsell us further repairs of the pipes rather than fixing the actual blocked drainage. We believe this was unnecessary as he should have first fixed the blocked drainage and then would have talked about further repairs if needed
2. Throughout the time he was at our property (5 hours), he was inflicting fears in our mind as to how bad drainage job that builders have done when the house was built (only 15 years ago) to an extent that he once advised to sell the house due to this reason
3. It took him only 1-2 hours to clear the blocked drainage and to clean rest of the drain pipes
4. At the end he presented a invoice of £1416 for the work he has done on Wed 10th July’24 and another quote of £5895+Vat for further repair of clay drain pipes only (which are only about 30% of all drain pipes in the property) and offered us to waive off the invoice (£1416) for 10th July if we immediately commit and book for further repairs (£5895+Vat)
5. We requested a time (couple of days) to be given to us to take a second opinion on the matter and thereafter either we will pay for the invoice on Wed 10th July (£1416) or book for further repair (£5895+Vat) but this request was declined by Jordan and were asked to immediately pay (£1416) for the invoice on Wed 10th July’24
6. In spite of requesting number of times, Jordon wouldn’t even give the drains video until the payment is made which he spent hours in filming
7. At the end, with heavy heart and confused with all the talks that Jordan did for last 5 hours, we decided to pay for the invoice on Wed 10th July’24 (£1416) and take second opinion before committing for further repairs.
8. In last few days, we have couple of other drainage companies and builders coming to the house to look into the problem with drains as portrayed by Jordan; all of them concluded that drain repairs are “Good to have” but not as necessary as advised by Jordon at this point of time

My wife called your company (07893933166) on Thu 11th July’24 and give above feedback which was noted down on the call to be taken up by senior management of the company and she was promised a call back next day for the resolution but still haven’t heard anything form the company.

All above leaves us completely shattered as how a kitchen sink blockage has left us a bill of £1416 which could be easily rectified in much less money that we paid for the job.
In our view and assessment, we should only be paying 1-2 hours of labour and equipment usage charges rather than 4-5 hours that Jordan charged us. He definitely wasted 3-4 hours in unnecessary filming the drainage, phone calls and doing up sales for further repairs.

Booked for a blocked gully from kitchen sink. Booked on phone price quoted £67.50 per 30mins + £77.50 if plant required. We have had this drain cleared before, not using this company and it had taken 10mins and cost £70. We explained that we had an important appointment on the next day Saturday so they said would be approx. 8am. The next day (Sat) nobody arrived and we then had a text saying could it be 2pm approx. we said no, time was critical, so as they could not arrive as promised to cancel. Next day (Sun) we had a 10% off text, if we rebooked, so we said OK, booked for Monday 1pm. At 5pm still no arrival after phone calls, they arrived at 5.45pm. Two men arrived in a hire van, when in the past 1 man had sorted with no problem. They insisted 2 men required and would need to use 'machine' which took them 10 mins to get going! This was before even trying to clear without it. On clearing blockage which took approx. 10 mins then tried to give me a bill for £255 payable NOW. I said I would pay their H/O, we rung their H/O straight away, spoke to a woman who after long argument agreed to charge for 1 man, by this time the 2 men were banging and ringing our front door. We answered it and informed them we would pay their H/O tomorrow, they were not pleased and became very threatening, in the end I slammed the door in their face, to get rid of them. We then had 5 texts and several phone calls that evening demanding the full amount this went on until 9.45pm. The following day (Tuesday) we had numerous emails and texts. I repeated that we would pay for 1 man + plant hire (not needed) less the 10% promised for the mess up with times on the previous Saturday as promised. After insisting on the 10% (out of principle) which they tried to cancel and many emails and texts later they eventually got the message and I paid their corrected invoice on the Wednesday (less the 10% as agreed). I pointed out I am retired and had plenty of time to fight their unfair and unjustified charges. Their prices are unjustified and misleading, time keeping and promises non existent and bullying heavy handed rude and threatening tactics at the least bad customer service if not illegal. They state after having done the job "we have to have to have 2 men that's the law" If this is correct why do they only state charges for 1 man at £67.50 when they always send 2 men so cost is actually £135 + vat not the £67.50 as quoted when you ring them. BEWARE CHECK AND ENSURE YOU GET WHAT YOU HAVE PAID FOR. If you are elderly or on your own don't be threatened or bullied, better still use another company!!

BlockedDrain247: Never recommended. They give a false price when they quote, but charge thrice the amount. Not punctual, not well experienced and imperfections. ONLY MONEY MINDED with a tricky business mind of how to charge the customers a lot. I would give 1 star rating overall.
1. One of the female staff called around 9pm to catch hold after I placed a request with various drainage unblock sites and booked an appointment next day, but none turned up on the date I fixed. Very unpunctual.
Over the phone I had a call with her who said 1 person, £67 for 30minutes + jetter is extra charge £70 to unblock the drainage. As we have a bath tub spa, I mentioned in the beginning that one more hand is just to move a bit access the manhole. The guy Mark I spoke with agreed that they won't charge for another person to move the bath tub. Just one person charge and jetter if they need to. It means £130+vat.

Again they fixed the appointment for next day as they didn't turnup and sent a couple of remainders through e-mails and text message like they sent the previous day. They don't maintain any punctualities. Finally they turned with 30minutes late again and I explained the block. But the guy said we are two, not a single person rate. I explained him that your office is already agreed for 1 person labour and not charging for another person just to bit move the bath tub. But the guy didn't agreed to this. If this is the case, the guy I spoke to must have said it's a 2 persons labour charge, why he didn't.

Tricky business minded people know how to loot money. Maybe due to their lack of experience and understanding of piping connections, they started from a wrong place opening the manhole instead of the one that got a block, spent half an hour and opened the manhole underneath to the tub spending another 15minutes. They must have looked this in a very first place. At it's crossed more than 30minutes, they said it's a double 2man labour charge and finally ended up £510, a massive amount. They are intentional. They must realise that this is too much for 15minutes of clearing the drainage block. It's such a shame.

They know how to extend the work by starting from a wrong place to charge the people who are in need.

Finally ended up saying that there may be a pipe misplacement which needs to be fixed for nearly £2000. Really! If we do this, they can waive the charge £510. How the business minded works convincing the people, but we didn't agree.

After paying this, they didn't even have a courtesy of clearing the muddy bits and pieces using jetter, where they unblocked. We needed to carry out clearing all the muddy stuffs into the drain pipe. Very imperfect and only money minded. They not only charged 2 man double rates 4times of £67, but they charged 2 times £77 of jetter usuage. How greedy they are! Requested for a invoice breakup and but they didn't provide one. Be mindful before going to blocked drain 247. You'll be very much disappointed. Never recommended.
