Very poor experience - Avoid
Extremely poor experience and, based on my experience, not a trustworthy auction house.
The way this matter was handled was highly unprofessional and left me with little confidence in both their customer service and the integrity of their bidding process.
I was shown as the winning bidder on a watch lot, with the auction closing in my favour. The bid was then retracted, the lot reopened, and awarded to another buyer at exactly the same price.
When I raised the issue, I was told the matter would be investigated. After an initial response, communication stopped completely despite multiple follow ups. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the lack of follow up, failure to provide a clear explanation, and eventual decision to ban me for raising a legitimate complaint was highly unprofessional.
Auction houses rely on trust, transparency and confidence in the bidding process. Based on my experience, I would advise other buyers to think very carefully before bidding or doing business with this auction house.
