I made a post to sell my business and apparently my photos did not line up with their guidelines but instead of emailing me directly they sent an email to my broker which got filtered out as spam and made no attempt to contact me in order to fix the post. What we thought was a live and active post was actually in default and was not posted for a full month! When I asked if they could help out to either adjust the date of the posting to allow for a few more weeks after it gets officially published they refused and said it was my fault that I did not correct the issue and they have no liability on if the post is actually accepted or not. Absolutely ridiculous, all I was asking for was to extend my post a few weeks since they made little to no effort to get the posting live. They are very quick to take almost $700 for a 6 month post but have no help for you at all and would rather steal your money then help you sell your business. This place is a joke! Not to mention the person I was speaking with was extremeley rude the entire time and had an attitude when I was calm just asking for help in some way.

I wanted a buy or semi active or even silent partnership offering equity or shares with an instant monthly return with percentage growth ongoing hence: My venture is scalable throughout the US. A moving company that operates like Uber. Movers Dash .com
I low purchase and high ongoing yields are off the chart
I have had offers however not going to give away a portion of an Empire for such low investment.
I have 26 years experience and serveal successful Owners for references that I put in my recession proof service industry.
Along with records, financials and more.
So I will continue to use BizBuySell until I get the right deal.

The present it as they are going to do magic for you and the reality is that over paying hundreds of dollars to post the business there, we got probably 10 calls where 7 where brokers offering their service and the other 3 was unqualified buyers.

Absolute trash! It took over two weeks before my ad even became noticeable on their site and the only contact I received was from brokers within the company asking for thousands of dollars to sell my business. They offer no refunds, offer zero services unless you pay premium (bigger waste of money), and you’ll just get someone attempting to bleed you for money so your post can just sit on their site. This website should be shut down and the crooks who created should rot in prison.

A very shady operation. There is a business listed that probably doesn't exist and another one is full of false information.

Trying to list my business, they kept changing my post so it was impossible to post.not sure why, have I been cancelled? Not happy, want my money back. Not a legit company.
Bizbuysell tell me I'm wrong.

Disappointing. I spend $4,000 annually for over 15 years with their sister company; Loopnet. When I asked for a $109 discount on an auto-renewal that I did not catch, they refused me. No customer service at all.

Guy that answered the phone said he was Donald that said he was the "manager".  This guy was 100% unhelpful and rude and refused to give me his manager.  I was trying to upgrade to diamond and he made it impossible.  3 people I spoke with earlier in the day were extremely nice.  Monitor the way Donald speaks with your customers! You should look into getting rid of Donald!

I can't tell you how bad and shady this company is. They shut down my account and ofcourse lost all the leads which I'm sure were bots anyways because the leads never ever reply back....ever. They shut down my account and listing and banned me because get this, I was selling my company for what was slightly less than I guess market value. So let me get this straight. You the seller are not in control and can't list a business for any price you want?

1) The value of the business vs. asking price vs. revenue does not add up. Value is higher than asking. Of course it is up to the you (the seller) as to what you're asking for your business, but having an asking price lower than the value of the business raises questions and concerns for potential buyers.

There are thousands of reasons why you would list for higher or lower. Why don't you leave that to me to tell my leads why I've listed it for lower like what the heck?

Ive had other issues with them as well. What do you think is going to happen when a bigger and better competitor comes along? What brand loyalty do you have when all you do is treat sellers like crap?

I can't wait for a better competitor to come along and overtake this crap company. Out dated and shady business practices and dated website that is still from 1999. Hard to use and easily navigate.

You've virtually doubled the price with even less value. Stop treating your sellers like criminals and like crap.

Extremely bad experience selling my business, I wouldn't recomened, just wasting your time and money

Today, (20/Feb/2025) I called a broker named Jason Barnes (865) 599-3515 to inquire about purchasing a business in Ohio. I said "hello," there was no response. I could hear someone breathing on the other end of the line, so I mentioned it. At that point, the broker started using abusive language towards me. I understand that English may not be My first language, but their response was very disappointing and unprofessional.

Horrible customer service. Every single representative is not helpful or accommodating. They just want your money.

I paid close to $600 for half a year and called about mid way to find out why I was not getting any leads. They wanted me to call the people who had looked at my post, calling them "leads", but I wasn't about to randomly bother people just because they read my post. What makes this any different than the SPAM calls I get on a daily basis? But the real suspicious thing about BizBuySell is I got 2 calls not long after I had complained that I was not getting any leads, and they both made an appointment to come in but they never showed up. I thought there might be a possibility that BizBuySell might have hired people to just make the calls and not follow through because I was complaining, and they needed customers to feel we are getting some results. I was then charged a renewal fee of close to $90 because I was a few days late turning off the renewal on my account during my busiest Thanksgiving/Black Friday week. I explained that I did not get to read my email on time (sent 2 days prior to expiration), and they said it was my responsibility because the renewal date is on my account, but because I didn't get any leads, I was not actively on my account. I was barely on there 4 times the entire 6 months I had the account. And as everyone has heard, BizBuySell does not make exceptions. I agree it was somewhat my responsibility to check the renewal dates, but if a customer is completely feeling we were wronged for any lack of services provided for the good money we paid for, then I think they should not raise their voices while speaking to us on the phone. (Donald supervisor I spoke to). Also BizBuySell should provide multiple emails before renewal time or at least well in advance instead of 2 days prior to the renewal date during the busiest season of the year. After spending close to $700 and half a year later, it was all money down the drain. It would have been more gratifying if I had just donated this money to charity.

This place is the wild west. People selling businesses that are not actual businesses, but rather a lead magnet to spam you with franchise opportunities. Fake names, fake businesses, etc. Nothing is really vetted. Not even an ID check on the person posting.

I never made my listing public and only after 3-4 days decided to not sale. I received a call asking if I needed help completing the listing. I explained I wanted to cancel and get a refund. I never heard back from them. I called them to get the ad canceled and get a refund and was told NO. I said why can't you do that if the listing was never made public. They said it did not show anyone had called and I was outside of their Grace Period. Donald "The Manager" was rude and had very poor customer service. At the very least I should have been offered a partial refund. BEWARE THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!!!

SCAM SITE!!! These are NOT Businesses for sale, they are a fake company that scams people through various fake websites including this one! It is owned by BizBuySell Ecommerce, LLC. I utilize Google satellite maps to locate the business location. It's actually a rundown shack in the middle of an abandoned parking lot!! So, yeah, they're totally not legit and they're actually in trouble with the state of Wyoming for not paying their taxes and the IRS. Hard to pay taxes off of revenues that are all achieved by scamming!

Website is good, my issue was that the broker(excellaundry) listing the business refused to give me any info about the business after I filled out the NDA form. They said they will not co-operate with me because I have a real estate license which has nothing to do with me trying to buy a business.

Worked for us. Took 6 months at the most expensive listing ($229/month). We had about 60 inquiries, most not serious. Met with 3 serious prospects. Found the right person who found us from Illinois (We're in Florida). We have a small service business and we are happy with the service and results.
