Great. I have been living in Chicago past 6 years. I learnt 200% more in tour than what i knew before. It's not just going around the big buildings but real value lies in knowing the history behind them. Plus a live guide with neutral accent and funny commentary enhances your sight seeing experience.

Amazing time with Big Bus!
We bought the Deluxe Big Bus Tours in Chicago, and it was one of the best things we did on our journey through the States. The tour guides were very friendly and knew a lot about the history, pop culture and gossip of the city, we had an amazing time!

Jack was great, but the wenbsite was incorrect!
I loved the trip I went on & Jack, our tour guide was highly entertaining & knowledgable!!
I was slightly disappointed with the lack of information on the website as the schedule for the cold season was not up to date & therefore had me waiting outside in the bitterly cold weather (-14 Celsius) for an hour only to walk quite sometime to another stop where luckily I found a tour guide operator who in turn gave me an updated pamphlet with the correct times for the season! Please update your website!
When I finally got into a warm bus (2.5 hours after originally hoping to get on a bus), the experience very very memorable!

We had a great time on the Big Bus Tour …
We had a great time on the Big Bus Tour of Chicago. All the guides were informative and helpful. When the bus ran late at the end of the day, I called to check on it where they verified traffic had caused some problems. When the bus arrived, the driver said dispatch had called him to make sure he looked for us. Very impressed. It was 14 degrees so we really appreciated them making sure we caught the last bus.

Siempre usé Big Bus en otras ciudades del mundo con muy buena experiencia, pero realmente en Chicago fué desastroso. Nos llevaron como ganado de pie, el bus completamente lleno, sin auriculares y sin calefacción en un día que hacía menos 19 grados centígrados. La verdad que no lo disfrutamos en lo absoluto y lo único que esperabamos era llegar pronto a un lugar cercano a nuestro hotel para bajarnos.

Gracias por contactarnos, lo sentimos que no disfruto nuestro servicio en Chicago. Los pasajeros eligen donde se bajan y a veces deciden quedarse por una vuelta entera. Nosotros no tenemos control en que lleno se pone el bus; con un servicio hop-on, hop-off, y con el ambiente de la ciudad, nuestra capacidad siempre cambia.
Cada bus tiene calefacción; imagínese que usted tiene la calefacción prendida en su carro, pero tiene una venta abierta y abre la puerta cada 10 minutos. Así es porque no se sentía tan caliente adentro, pero es mejor estar en el bus que estar caminando afuera en las bajas temperaturas con viento.
Los auriculares no se ofrecieron porque nuestro sistema de traducción era limitado y lo queremos mejorar. Ojalá nos visite otra vez en Chicago en el tiempo de calor y pueda tener la experiencia de explorar Chicago y todas sus atracciones.

Waiting For Follow-Up on Company-Cancelled Tour Dates - Resolved
Tour itself was good; bus staff great. However, because of the company's cancellation of our original tour dates, we were not able to use both days of our two-day prepaid pass. I have contacted the company twice to discuss a refund, but to date, no one has been in touch.

Immediately after posting the review above, I was contacted by a Big Bus Tours representative, and the situation was resolved. I was granted a rebate for the day we missed and offered a ticket the next time I'm in Chicago. Thank you.

Was visiting Chicago for only 3 days won’t be back this year again, bought your tickets from Big Bus Tours and due to cold weather they closed all days of my visit , I emailed for a refund and got no response, and no money back !

Great Guides!
The tour guide and staff were fantastic! “Bea” was the name of our tour guide and she was so interesting to listen to and had so much knowledge that we stayed in the bus for a second round!!! Then we even took a third round but it was a different guide, and she was great too!
The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that the upper ceiling windows that enclose the upper level were so scratched and dirty that we could not take photographs and that is unacceptable! These tours aren’t cheap and to not even be able to see out the windows properly was not good. I would look for a company with better kept busses next time.
I took this tour in London in the fall of 2017 but it was not yet cold enough to put the top cover on, so I don’t know how clean it would have been. From now on, I will check this issue before I book a tour.

Thank you for your review, we can only learn from your experiences. We're glad that Ms. Bea was such a great source of information and entertainment as you traversed the city of Chicago.
We're sorry about the condition of the windows, but it comes with the territory of providing an enclosed top. We could provide a completely uncovered top so people can take pictures, but then the temperature will be much colder, almost unbearable. Some of our photographer friends do venture all the way to the back of the uncovered bus to get the best images possible.
Please visit us again in the summertime, then we do promise to have a beautiful view of Chicago!

Still the best way to discover a city
The efficiency and very purpose of such an attraction is spot on, allowing to discover a city or at least the main locations of a city in a very interesting way. Guides and drivers were great, a cool mix between historical and funny facts about Chicago were explained and we appreciated every bit of it. Only downside being the fact that the upper level is not completely closed and heated, making the experience a little cold.

We're glad you were able to enjoy the ride and discovery in Chicago. Our guides really enjoy their jobs and like to share the smaller details in Chicago along with some jokes.
We can't completely enclose the top, as there's no easy way to install a ventilation system onto the bus. It does a great job at blocking the wind and tries its best at retaining the heat. Just imagine having the heat blasting in your car, but you have a window open; its warmer in the car than outside, but colder than if it was entirely enclosed. Trust us, we wish we could have a fully covered bus, but since we use the same ones summer & winter, the partial cover is our best solution.

A great way to learn your way around …
A great way to learn your way around downtown. We chose to stay on the tour for the full two-hours first, then go back to the places we especially wanted to see. Everybody associated with the Bus was super-friendly and helpful. We were especially lucky to have Miss Bea as our tour guide.
