I bid on a car, he told me that the car was in perfect working condition and I could collect it on wheels even though I chose delivery. I bid £2,500 and told him to tell me the total price. He told me £3,300, I paid £3,300 then he sent me an invoice £1,400+£230 delivery. I said why didn't you tell me the total amount first. I wanted to give up and out of the £3,300 he gave me back £1,300 and £2,000 for the inconvenience of giving up the car. I saw that they wanted to cheat me, in good faith I paid all the money almost £5,000 including delivery. after a few days the car arrived with PROBLEMS…IT STARTS AFTER IT ROTATES FOR ABOUT 30/40 SECONDS, THE COMPRESSION IS DESTROYED PLUS THE ENGINE IS BOILING, THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THE ENGINE IS DUSTY AND THERE IS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I REPORTED THE PROBLEM AND WAS SURPRISED THAT BIDSPOTTER BILLED THROUGH ANOTHER COMPANY AND THEN CLOSED THE COMPANY. THE CAR IN THE PICTURES LOOKS LIKE NEW AND IN REALITY IT IS DUSTY, BENT, SCRATCHED AND THE ENGINE IS DUSTY, I CALLED THEM BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY NOTICE OF ME. SOME THIEVES WHO ARE CHEATING THE WORLD.

Avoid!! BIGGEST scammer I’ve ever come across with!! Bought a vehicle hammer price £1950 by the time they add all their charges,cost me out of the door more than double the price @ £4170. I don’t recommend to anyone unless you want to have your pants down!! STAY AWAY!!!

Avoid with any price... the cars on bidspotter are cheap but actually they charge a lot of money on VAT and Premium buyer for cars worth nothing...
I did bid on a car and I have not reached the minimum bid... they then has changed the min bid before the auction finished and made me win the car.... then they just threatened me with all legal actions and bankruptcy if I want to cancel and not paying the car because the bank did not even allowed me to pay them... Halifax, LLoyds and Revolut... all 3 did not release any payment towards them... I got the car for 8k+ which is worth 4k... completely f me up big time. I will try to get them to court...

company with no morals all about commission they earn from rogue traders they let use their platform ... in ripping off their customers .....

You think you are getting a bargain, but the postage fees are not clear for customers, we expected around £25 postage fee for a pram we bought, we paid for the item when we won it, and then got hit with a £95 postage fee! And the response is, pay it within 24 hours or we will cancel the order and keep your money. No option to use a credit card either so you don’t really get any protection. I will not use this again.
If you do sign up, just remember that if you bid let’s say £100, you also have to pay auction fees and VAT on top of that, then if you win, you pay for it, then get sent a postage fee to pay separately which you can’t back out of.

I was extremely disappointed by the staff’s attitude. Not only did they ignore me, but I was treated very poorly and spoken to very rudely when I asked for certain information. On top of that, they have hidden fees that they don’t disclose to customers. When I asked for clarification, they refused to answer and almost insulted me.

I was asked for £500 to be approved to bid on a vehicle that vehicle was due to end last night at 19.00 I was informed I had been out bid it's now resisted by the same company with another 24hrs left to bid it's 5k more now than the finishing bid last night IT STINKS

The titles for items on auctions are a lie, they will say might have power tools, knowing there is only screws and paint brushes. They say items are unopened yet everything I received was open. They took out all the good item and sent me rubbish, paid £70 plus £96 for delivery for a box of screws and paint brushes, major scam this place. Don't believe a word they say.

purchased a 5.5 excavator on ibidder paid £24500.
had delivered by private haulier.When delivered he was concerned about controls as did not work correctly.
on further investigation the excavator has major heath and safety issue. welding had been carried out on main structure very poorley and unsafe & and painted over .Control stick do not work in any way correctly plus loads of other problems contacted auctioneers and refuse to take any responsiblity for sellers description or the safe working , or incorrect description on listing.
They maintain its a trade to trade sale and take NO Responsibility for any description from sellers.

Firstly there are genuine auction houses on there that I use regularly, however you can use their own websites too if you like instead. The majority of the items you will see on Bidspotter are from a group of ‘companies’ that are all shell companies for Bidspotter themselves.

Their stock reply of ‘we are just the platform it’s the auctioneers problem’ is a lie. The biggest con auctioneer was ASSET AUCTIONS for a while and companies house shows their trading name was BIDSPOTTER. I think asset auctions are now some of the other dodgy looking auctioneers on there, all advertising on Facebook and using fake names everywhere as well.

Do your research, use auctioneers running specific auctions for specific reasons not ones with seemingly endless supplies of plant and cars with no context.
