Bought a Marin 4 Corners frame. I built the bike and the rear brakes would not align. Tried many workarounds but eventually went to a shop who told me the brake mounts were unworkable.
Marin accepted my warranty claim. Bike stripped, new frame, build up again. Very same thing. They sent me a frame with the same fault.I tried to bodge this but there was no luck. Not the first piece of Marin junk.
Marin team marin 1 chainstays broke.
New frame.
Marin Gestalt, frame headset alignment. Fork rubbed frame, returned.
Ok they return stuff, but that is a bad experience. The cost of their error is on me.

I’ve been a road cyclist all my life and never owned an e-bike. I wanted something that would get me out exploring without the lycra and without arriving everywhere all sweaty. The Aventon Aventure 3 has delivered on that and then some.

This bike is a beast, and it eats up the kilometres. Yes, it’s heavier than my road bike, but you’d never know once you’re moving. The pedal assist levels cover everything: cruising on the flats, powering up hills, and rolling over trails with no fuss. It’s smooth, it’s quiet, the suspension soaks up the bumps, and the gears shift crisply every time. It just feels well built.

On my first big outing I did 90km in one morning, exploring corners of my own neighbourhood I’d never bothered with before. It’s brought a whole new level of joy back into riding for me, and commuting is now on the table because I can arrive at work without needing a shower.

It’s also seriously stylish. The Matcha colour gets comments everywhere I go. The front and rear rack options are a big bonus too, so carrying a bag, groceries or work gear is easy.

Getting started was easy too. Delivery was seamless, and the build was a breeze, with video guides and all the tools included.

Comfortable, capable, and so much fun. Consider me converted. If you’re on the fence about your first e-bike, this is the one.

Good luck if you have a warranty claim with this business. You'll end up talking to a call centre and receiving emails from a bot asking you to jump through hops. First they want photos which is fair enough then they want videos of a problem that is internal to the derailleur and unable to be photographed. Last email was to take it to your local bike shop and ask for an assessment at my cost! Will be taking the matter up with NSW Fair Trading.

Spent nearly $6k with this business over the past 12 months. Avoid and best shop at a shop with a physical presence.

Ordered a helmet. Wasnt dispatched for 4 business days. Emailed. No response. Called. Spoke to someone who was probably offshore. He assured me the item was instock and had shipped but just hadnt been scanned. Would follow up with auspost and email me. Nothing. Called again 24 hours later. Couldnt get through during their stated business hours. Eventually got through. Spoke to another bloke. Asked him to cancel the order and refund. Told me he would escalate to someone senior (read at Bikes Online and not call centre agent) and they would call me. Crickets.

Youre an online store. Its 2026. Why waste peoples time??? Send it. Or take it off your website. No wonder Amazon is taking over.

Im a professional Bike Mechanic. My regular supplier was out of the Italian Threaded Shimano Ultegra Bottom Bracket. Google helped me find one at Bikes on Line and it was a bit cheaper than my regular supplier. The part arrived quite quicky and I was able to finish the job in time for the client. I'm happy to use Bikes on Line in the future as a supplier.

I ordered and paid for an e-bike from BikesOnline but it was sent by a dodgy courier company and I haven't received it.
Staff at the store are great and I am sure the ebike is good as well, if I ever receive it. TFMExpress picked it up and took it to Sydney which is a two hour drive from my address. I checked tracking and saw they sent it to Canberra. I contacted the logistics company in Canberra who told me they sent it back as they dont deliver to South Coast NSW.

I called the TFM customer service number, which is an overseas call centre, and was told they would contact TFM staff in Sydney and find out what happened. No one ever got back to me so I sent an email outlining where I live. No response. I checked tracking again and saw it went back to Sydney and that the next day they sent it back to Canberra again, who sent it back to Sydney again. Now no one knows where it is. TFM are impossible to contact and do not return queries or emails. I have contacted PayPal to ask for a refund.

BikesOnline staff are good and their products are probably good as well and buy off them if you can pick it up. But, if you need it shipped and they still use TFMExpress do not buy anything. It is not worth getting mucked around by a courier company that have created a new higher level of incompetence.

I hope BikesOnline start using a reliable competent courier company that is contactable and has actual customer service.

The whole process of ordering a $3000 bike online was a little daunting however it turned up super quick and easy to assemble.

The fact I was able to contact a staff member directly with some specific questions and they had the answers really impressed me and made for a great buying experience. But to be honest, this isn't the first time I've bought from bikes online so I knew this was the case.

Purchase and quality of the product (Polygon Cascade 3) were excellent.
Delivery was slow because the courier held the product at the warehouse a few days.
