Beyond Broadway Arvostelua 

Our 9 year old daughter took part in the Beyond Broadway Experience in Aberdeen for the first time this year as part of the production of Bring it on!

We didn't know what to expect but from start to end, she (and we) absolutely loved the experience. The change in her in just two short weeks blew us away. Her confidence grew by the day and she was so inspired by the experience which has further grown her passion in dancing (and cheerleading). It gave her the opportunity to spend time with people with the same passions as her and she's made new friends who she now speaks to almost daily even though they're at different schools.

The team are incredibly professional and talented and work so well with the kids. Watching the show (all 3 times!!) filled us with so much pride. To see her as part of something so magical and exciting was amazing. As parents we couldn't recommend the experience more and she is already raring to go for the auditions for next year.

My daughter has just finished her second year with BBEXP in Aberdeen and once again - best two weeks of her summer! The quality that the team bring out in the cast is amazing, both in the finished show but also in how they work together and treat each other. Long term friendships made, skills developed, opportunities to shine…I can’t praise these guys enough.

My daughter absolutely loves Beyond Broadway! She has now done 2 years in Edinburgh with footloose last year and little shop of horrors this year. Each time she has loved every minute of the rehearsals, made loads of new friends, and been talking about the following year as soon as it’s all over. I would absolutely recommend for any kids who love dancing, singing and acting. It’s fantastic for them to experience performing at the Festival Theatre too, and the shows are such high quality for family and friends to enjoy. Thanks so much to everyone on the team who work so hard to make this experience possible.

I joined BBEXP for Footloose 2025 and then came back for Little Shop Of Horrors 2026, I had a wonderful time in both. I already loved musical theatre but it was a great challenge learning a whole show in two weeks, it improved my skills in picking up dance quicker as that was where I used to struggle a lot more. Festival theatre is a beautiful venue and amazing to perform in. Thank you for a great experience. :)

BBEXP has genuinely changed our lives, and very much for the better! We initially joined simply looking for an opportunity for our daughter to grow, explore musical theatre and see how much she enjoyed performing at a higher level. We had no idea what we were getting into. It has ignited a real passion in her. She is more motivated, works harder than ever and, most importantly, absolutely loves every minute of it. It has given her inspiration, role models, confidence, a sense of belonging and a much clearer path ahead. As parents, watching her discover something she is so passionate about has been incredible. Huge thanks to the whole team for creating such a special environment for young performers to learn, grow and fall in love with what they do.

It’s the best two weeks of the year. My little boy enjoys doing it so much I would definitely recommend it to loads of people. He recommended it to his friends and it’s just something that he feels happy to do every summer and he says it’s just amazing being in a production with loads of professionals.

Spent an incredible fortnight with the folks at BBExp, and it truly was the highlight of my year! For the second consecutive year, I've been privileged to join this outstanding and gifted group, and I'm eager for another opportunity to experience it all over again. The camaraderie is fantastic, with a blend of hard work and enjoyment, making the performances at the Festival Theatre absolutely worthwhile.

Participants engage with expert directors, choreographers, musical directors, theatre designers, and performers to stage a grand Musical Theatre production in stunning professional venues.For two intensive weeks leading up to opening night, the cast is rigorously guided by our skilled creative and production teams. It’s an opportunity to learn from top industry professionals while also having a fantastic time!

When my daughter got accepted to the cast for Cats last year I will admit I was a bit unsure how they could make a cast that size work and for them all to feel involved and was concerned about what she had committed to. Skip forward to July and she had the most amazing experience, they all worked so hard but had so much fun and it was great seeing them have the opportunity to learn and develop over the two weeks and to make some great friends.
On seeing the show I was blown away by the performance and coordination of all those young people on stage. Such talent, engagement and enthusiasm.
A brilliant opportunity and an amazing experience handled hugely professionally by cast and crew alike.

This is fantastic summer project with exceptionally high standards and production values giving young Scottish talent a fantastic opportunity.

My daughter had an absolutely amazing time with beyond broadway. 2 weeks rehearsals, topped off by 3 fantastic shows. She’s made memories that will last a lifetime and is already talking about next year. Can’t recommend enough, everyone is so helpful and inclusive, a great experience for any young person.

The BEYOND BROADWAY EXPERIENCE gives young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years the unique opportunity to work with the professional team from The International Entertainment Collective, including professional directors, choreographers, musical directors, theatre designers and performers to put on a huge Musical Theatre show in spectacular professional venues.

Working intensively in rehearsals for two weeks running up to opening night, cast are put through their paces by our professional creative and production teams. You get to work with some of the best in the industry – and have a lot of fun along the way!
