Awful, received some really bad product, then when it failed in use after 3 wears ( 3 days into ownership) I only get 20% back as product used - go figure.

I will not be using them again.

The site should be closed down they are giving false information and conning people. Bennett & Mason does not exist at least not as a shoe maker in London. The shoes are a cheap Chinese import and although in most cases the shoes do eventually turn up it can take weeks for them to turn up at your door.

Still waiting for my order. If they were in the Uk iIwould have received them by now. Getting more offers from them to buy additional pairs but no thanks. Wish i'd read the reviews first before buying (which I usually do).
Think its best to avoid these people.

Where as the shoes don't fit you are replacing them.

Complete rip off. Shoes did arrive but so badly made they are unwearable. Supposed to be leather (they’re not) and not the design spec I bought. Avoid this at all costs unless you like cheaply made plastic shoes made in china.

The advert on Facebook gave the impression it was an established British shoemaker closing down hence big discounts. I tried to cancel my order but they said it had already been dispatched. I was to await its arrival, then they would tell me how to return. They offered me a 20% discount to keep the shoes which were very poor quality not as described. They said they wanted them posting back to China. But said they could get lost in transit.

I was drawn to this site after seeing an ad on Facebook claiming Bennet and Mason was a "traditional British store" closing down—complete with imagery and branding that suggested heritage, quality, and urgency. Needing a smart pair of shoes for an upcoming funeral, I placed an order for two pairs of shoes and two tops, expecting UK-based shipping and timely delivery.

A few days later, I received a tracking link—originating from China. While I have no issue with international products in general, the store’s presentation was intentionally misleading, and timing was critical. The order did not arrive in time.

When the parcel finally landed (late), what I received barely resembled the photos on the website. The shoes are of incredibly poor quality—flimsy, misshapen, and reeking of strong petrochemical fumes. The tops? Equally underwhelming. This is not just a case of a cheap product failing to meet expectations—this is misrepresentation from start to finish.

The entire experience has left me disappointed and embarrassed. I usually exercise more caution online, and I regret giving this site the benefit of the doubt. If you're considering ordering from Bennet and Mason, don’t be fooled by the faux British charm or “closing down” tactics. This is a drop-shipping operation masquerading as a heritage brand. I strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.

Shoes look great, are very comfy and are well made. great price too.

Liked the boots very much. Nice style, good fit. comfortable. Look good on. Delivery was a bit long but the delivery information & tracking option was very good.

I placed an order with BennetandMason.co.uk thinking it was a UK-based brand — the site has a London address, prices in GBP, and claims to be a British fashion retailer. In reality, it's a Chinese dropshipping scam misrepresenting itself to UK customers.

I ordered men’s boots (advertised as genuine leather) and a watch. The boots arrived — cheap, plastic, nothing like described. The watch doesn’t even work. But it gets worse.

Before the order was even dispatched, I emailed to cancel the order — under my legal right to cancel under UK distance selling regulations. They ignored every email and went ahead and shipped it anyway.

After I complained again, they offered me a 20% refund, or I could return everything to China at my own cost (which would cost more than the items!). This is a classic scam tactic — they make returns so expensive that you’re forced to give up. They are not complying with UK consumer law and clearly have no actual presence in the UK.

Even if you paid by debit card, you can still get your money back via a chargeback through your bank.

📞 Contact your bank and say:

“I bought goods from a site claiming to be UK-based. The items are misrepresented and faulty. I tried to cancel before dispatch and was ignored. I want to raise a chargeback under Visa/Mastercard rules.”

✅ Provide:

Your order details and payment receipt

Screenshots of the product descriptions

Photos of what you actually received

All emails showing your cancellation attempt and refund request

Banks usually accept chargeback claims up to 120 days after the purchase or expected delivery date.

🚨 Final thoughts:
This company is not what it claims to be. It’s part of a scam network using fake “British brand” websites to trick customers. I’ve reported them to Action Fraud and Trading Standards.

Please be careful. Avoid this site and warn others. Don’t fall for the “closing down” sale or the fake UK branding.

Total scam - product not as described (cheap plastic, not leather) and the money back guarantee requires you to send the goods back at your cost to China (even though they’re not what you ordered).

Everything went well, from start to finish! Great product, great service!

bennet and Mason were unknown to me until I bought two pairs of shoes. One pair unfortunately was a bit tight and they this sent me a replacement pair for the cost of the postage, I still have the pair that was too small and I don't think they want them back. I can't find the service I would use them again and I intend to use them again.
