So we went for breakfast and we get to the counter to be told if your ordering breakfast we have NO eggs, what’s the point of poached eggs, a full English breakfast or a toasted ciabatta with bacon and egg. If they have NO eggs I mean come on who does your ordering for you, there is a sainsburys that sells eggs for gods sake. Very very poor service and you calm yourself a restaurant and the main item for breakfast are eggs. Poor excuse for a venue to get breakfast at, will not be visiting you again

Unfortunately, due to nationwide shortages of eggs caused by Avian Flu, we had a failed delivery last week which meant we ran our egg stocks out completely. I completely appreciate that this is incredibly frustrating (we felt this too!), and I cannot apologise enough for the negative impact that this had on your experience with us, however please rest assured that we completely share your frustrations and we're working with our supplier as a matter of priority to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
I'm very sorry again. I really hope that this hasn't caused you to lose faith in us completely and you'll come back to give us the opportunity to show you the great products and service that have earned us such a great local reputation!

We have eaten here so many times, the food is fantastic, staff are friendly and helpful, service is superb, one of our favourite places to eat, love it. Oh and you can bring your dog as well :-)

Non existent service!
We arrived for a drink at 6:30pm. We were told to find a table and someone would come to take our order. The place was not busy at all. At 6:50 pm we left having not been served. Very poor

Total disappointment
Booked bottomless cheese fondue for a Christmas present for my dad and his wife, when it arrived, I was so disappointed. Bread, potatoes and gherkins, that was it! £15 per head!! Absolute rip off! Will not be back! Absolutely gutted as place was lovely!

As you can see from our previous reviews, we have been receiving really positive feedback about the quality and value of our Bottomless Cheese Fondue package, so it’s really heartbreaking for us to hear that this didn’t come through during your visit. All of our prices are calculated carefully to cover the high quality ingredients we use, and to pay our wonderful teams for the hard work they put in. We also take care to benchmark our products and pricing against other coffee shops and restaurants similar to ours to ensure that we’re on par with the rest of our industry too.
Due to the massive popularity and success that our Bottomless Cheese Fondue has received this Christmas, we will definitely be looking at bringing it back in 2023! Therefore, any feedback we receive is incredibly helpful to inform any decisions made around product development to ensure that we’re always adapting and improving wherever we possibly can. Sunday Telegraph Editorial.
We went here after one of the partners had an editorial in The Sunday Telegraph the previous weekend.
Immediately - We found it difficult to identify waiting staff. They are all without uniform, (or badge) unkempt, and extremely slovenly in appearance.
One had an ipad strapped to his arm, so he must have been one ??
Once the staff were identified (none present at front of house greet us) I was addressed as 'mate' throughout...
To us, the owners had worked hard on the coffee and menu, spending no doubt lots of money on the rent and fixtures etc. but any attention to service and it's detail has been omitted.
I ordered a falafel, and was asked if I'd like a sauce, and requested avocado.
- The reply was 'If you want that we will have to charge you for a whole avocado'.
The unkempt nature of the staff led us to double check the hygiene rating online before ordering.
-Thankfully 5 out of 5
Coffee excellent.

For the last 4 years BEAR coffee has been consistently good, despite the regular change of the source of the beans. Whoever chooses the coffee knows what they are doing. I stopped having sugar in my coffee since drinking BEAR coffee as it doesn't need any - it's just so delicious.
They always make excellent coffee and snacks, and I regularly buy a bag to brew at home. The Irongate team are brilliant and extremely helpful, especially Alex who no longer works front of house, but has always done over and above to make the experience perfect. Thanks again

Beautiful location and unique experience. It was so nice to go somewhere completely different to the norm. We visited on a Friday night and ordered a bottle of prosecco, followed by food. We ordered a few different plates and shared between us - Chipotle tacos, chorizo tacos, spicy tato tots and chorizo pizza - all were absolutely delicious! We also had cocktails afterwards. I thought the value for money was spot on. The waiting staff were really helpful and friendly. We'll be back!

Expensive Fungus!
Only gripe I really had was paying £2 for herbed mushrooms as an extra side, but I literally got 2 mushrooms with no butter, or herbs or anything. Just seemed VERY expensive for not very much. Apart from that, everything else was fine.

The coffee and the service was great. I just ended up buying coffee the same time I’d go shopping and now I have enough for a lifetime. It’s not to say it’s the end of our journey but it’s at a halt.
