Bought a wallet first and it was such good quality I took the plunge and bought a belt this time. Again I can't fault the quality...harness leather,well worth the price and nice to support British companies.Ill buy again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Had an issue with a wallet. Wanted Banes & Moore to look at it, this was not entertained. Basically told it was my fault.
Customer service very poor, and unlikely to be resolved. Very disappointing.

You have got this all wrong. Let me explain so that that readers do not get taken in by your long winded prattle.

You have conveniently omitted some facts and timelines.

First. I have never asked you to replace my wallet. All I wanted was for you to take a look at my wallet see if this was normal. You did not oblige, instead asking me for proof of purchase. I did not have this but was able to show you my credit card statement.

Second, I purchased the wallet in Aug 2024, and only started using it in Jan 2025. Fact, you said I returned it to the store a year later, which by my reckoning would be Aug 2025. We are still in June 2025. FYI, that makes it six months before I then wrote to you.

Your claim that the store owner of Uniform Buffalo said that it was caused by “wear and tear”, is simply not true. I asked to store owner to look at the wallet and see if this was normal. The owner was in the process of packing up stock to sell, and was closing the store the following day. If you look at his website you will notice that he is still closed. The store owner told me it was the patina. A patina when used in reference to a leather product is ageing due to frequent use. I do not expect to see a patina after two months, especially since the rest of the wallet is in good condition, as I have acknowledged to you, and has shown no signs of wear. In no circumstances did I as the store owner to replace the wallet. I wanted his opinion. When I contacted you the day after my visit, the store was closed for business. My email to you confirming this is factually correct. You have clearly misunderstood or not understood the timelines. Let me clarify. Email to you; visit to store; store closes the next day; email back to you. Again let me remind you that I did not go there with the express intention to replace the wallet. I went there to purely to get an opinion.

Uniform Buffalo did not mention friction in the pocket caused by the wallet being closed. This is your claim. You also claim that a probable cause could have been from a sticky substance on the wallet in that area, and then folded resulting in the surface being damaged. What a bizarre response. How on earth would I get a sticky substance on the inside on the wallet? And surely I would have noticed when I next opened the wallet.

Your claim that I demand a resolution is not the case. My one and only ask from you was for you to look at the wallet yourselves. I have never asked you or said it was your place to supply me with a new wallet. This is untrue in your response post.

As I said above, you need to be clear with the timelines involved and the clear facts. Do not try and spin this to appear otherwise. I have no doubt that you have a good reputation and that all your products are indeed very interesting. But you should understand that at the end of the day, I only asked for one thing.

First, I’ve no doubt that your customer service with your customers is anything other than very good, as you say, and according to the reviews I have read. This doesn’t mean that I am wrong in my experience and how you have responded.

Second, I have not conveniently omitted any details of my claims as you allege. Again you have not read my review. Your facts are incorrect as is your timeline.

Returning to the store, Uniform Buffalo a year later is incorrect. Product bought in Aug 2024. Asking the store owner to look at the product in March 2025 is seven months later. As I said, I did not start using the wallet until Jan 2025. There is nothing unusual in doing this. And again regarding the store owner, you have not read my review. I did not tell the store owner that there was an issue. I asked him to look at the wallet to see if this was normal. What part of this whole episode do you not understand. He said it was the patina. I literally spoke to the store owner about his issue for less than three minutes. As I also said, the store owner was packing up cartons of clothing from the store.

When I contacted you the next day, the store was closed. I have asked you to check out the website, which confirms this and that they are moving.

The sticky stuff on the wallet is laughable. As is your claim that I demand a resolution. I have only asked that you, Barnes & Moore Leatherworks, look at the issue. You have only now made it clear in your post above that you feel this is unnecessary.

By the way, I have never suggested that it was your place to supply me with a new wallet. This is factually incorrect and your choice of words.

Bought a Garrison belt in oak bark leather, oxblood and copper buckle. Prior to placing my order I was a little unsure what size would fit best and a few emails to Steve my questions were answered and my order was placed. A few days later and DHL promptly gave me a parcel. Upon opening I found a beautifully presented package that was certainly of premium quality and care. Like a kid in a sweet shop, I carefully opened the box to reveal my new belt.
A thing of beauty and craft was sat in a beautifully presented box. The smell!! Wow!! It smells fantastic, looks fantastic and is a true work of art.
I don’t know who specifically crafted my belt but thank you to Barnes and Moore and of course Steve for the emails and help.

Beautiful, high quality belts. Just be sure to look at the size guide before purchasing as they are slightly longer than their equivalent pant size.
