Bank of Georgia Arvostelua 

My account GE22...0950 was blocked with amount on it, due to outdated passport. Before I got SMS that I can provide notarized copy of new passport by sending to the bank address. But I was informed by support, that this procedure was changed, and it is not possible to send any more. And I haven't provide any agreement on this, so seems decision was made by one side unilaterally.
P.S. BoG is one of the largest bank of a country. With such attitude towards clients, investments and high development in Georgia should not be expected for my opinion.

Very handy app and friendly service. The only negative is the technical support in the application. The technical support operator is replaced after 5 minutes and you have to re-explain your problem.

"Solo" account:
- The customer support doesn't know anything.
- Fees comes from nowhere without any notifications. - - The bank took $10 for new card but didn't say anything about it before

So far good. I wish currency exchange was better.

I am a business broker and my client chose to work with the Bank of George. Worst decision ever. The loan officer worked his but off and did everything he could. Unfortunately, the upper management, especially the credit manager, was very unprofessional. After the loan had been approved and after almost three months of working on the loan and countless hours, they decided to decline the loan. The Borrower had a surgery during this process which at the time was disclosed to the bank. The bank didn’t have a problem with it until the credit manager got involved. At that point the goal post kept moving and they started changing all the requirements. Finally they decided that he needed to provide a doctors note. The borrower was working on getting the note when the bank decided to pull the loan. Asking for a doctors note violates all sorts of privacy and HEPA Laws. But of course the bank knows that the only way they would get called on that is if someone sues. Recommendation, steer clear of the Bank of George. They are very unprofessional!

Bank of Georgia violates international banking regulations. They keep customers legitimate deposits for weeks and refuse any access to funds. Their customer service is useless and blatantly lies. I made a legitimate deposit in euros from my own account abroad to my Bank of Georgia account. The funds arrived promptly to Bank of Georgia but the bank failed to deposit money into my account. I provided Bank of Georgia with the proof of transfer from my foreign bank. They still refused to deposit my funds giving no explanation. First, they lied the funds did not arrive, then they said the funds arrived but they sent them back, then they said they did not send anything back but would review the case. I had to visit their branch in Tbilisi on Leonidze Street several times. Every time the bank employees gave me different answers. Eventually, they said I have to wait 21 days for their review. More than 5 weeks after my initial transfer, Bank of Georgia said they return the funds to my foreign account. However, nothing arrived to my account. I am out of money. Bank of Georgia does this to people during the pandemic when we desperately need access to our funds. Shame on you Bank of Georgia!
