Spectacularly bad, even for a bank
I've had accounts with numerous banks over the years, some better, some worse.
But this takes the cake.
Tried to open an account as a Cyprus resident.
Went to the branch, they told me: only online now!
Went to their website, couldn't find the account opening form even after extensive searching. Sent an email asking for help. No reply. Called them and got pointed at the form. Okay.
Then delays without end due to flaky app, misinformed call center agents, callbacks promised and not happening.
Then comes the absolute cruncher.
After several months and repeated calls to their call center I finally received my account number. Tried to send money, transfer got rejected. I called them, the lady says "your account got deactivated because the account opening TOOK TOO LONG"
Wow, just wow. She talked to someone else in the office and said "Mr X will call you back, please wait a couple minutes". Of course, the callback never happened.
Trying to open an account with another bank now.
I told the story to a Cypriot and she said "You'll have to know one thing: BoC will just make your life miserable and difficult". I can readily believe this.
Suggestions:
1. Allow account opening at a branch. What else do you have branches for? Just close them if you don't offer proper service there, and spend that money on staff training.
2. Fix your flaky confirmation texts
3. Take customers in trouble seriously. That includes actually calling back when you say so.
And most importantly,
4. DON'T TELL ME I'LL HAVE TO START OVER AGAIN WHEN IT'S YOU WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENDLESS DELAYS

Their online banking system is much easier to use than other local banks. The quality of customer service could be improved; delays in answering calls and long waiting lines. Charges unreasonably high fees on transactions with other banks
Not the best experience with this bank
Digipass is not working and no one from customer services could not solve it. It happens very often and they are not even trying to help, saying that there is nothing we can do. Costumer service line is very often occupied, busy and I do not feel that I am talking to experts when I am calling, since my problems are not resolved. Always problem with the app and they have also very high commissions.

Went to pay my rent again. 27 Sept 1pm.Same story but longer queue. I asked the manager if he knew about these terrible reviews or even read them...he said ..Yes and they are very good . So he lied. He also told me to change my bank.A fight began with a drunken guy that was leaning over the service counters and the service tellers were laughing at him as they were going about their business. This is a third world bank and their staff are pen pushers and not trained to deal with customers. When will the upper management do something about this problem? Do they even know how bad it is?

Worst bank, tried calling call center. Issue not resolved. They dont know what they are doing even the supervisor is 🤯.
For a small remittance, they will try to rip you off. Third world country remittance system is much better.

Worst bank ever! IBU unit is terrible. I deal with bank in the states, France and other nations and this is by far the worst. They over charge comission fees especially and they negotiate the charges as if you are buying a car (was 1000 ended up at 500 passing by 700) crazy! They even process the fees without your consent. Hellenic Bank is by far better
Don't make that mistake
Banking in Cyprus is the most terrible
thing someone can do! They will make you life extremely difficult. My dad died years ago. I haven't since been able to take the money! My lawyer struggles almost 2 years with the situation! Even him is dissatisfied with them. Cyprus laws are complicated, but beside that managers of the bank made us loose more time but not been clear what is the protocol in that case. Even banking in Switzerland, which are top level and have higher security, they were much more cooperative! Keep away at all cost!

This is the worst bank i ever had in my life. In the course of my life I've been living in different countries so I was able to try different banks in different continents plus the online banking in Europe .
This is BY FAR the worst bank in the world. High rates or literally EVERYTHING. Even to get an OTP you need to pay a 10 euro suscription...and trust me is not about the money, but the service alone is so terrible i cannot believe how they dare to charge such things. Not even in Germany or Switzerland you pay such high costs (even if you do pay there at least you're getting a premium service from a. Proper banker).
Their app is completely useless and ineffective. I'm using it for a year now (normal personal account) and I can speak with property when I say... NOBODY should use this bank. Maybe when they will see that they don't have no clients coming to put their money in they will see there's a problem and change things. in the course of this year they didn't do nothing more than take money either for the debit card the account the transfers...in a stpd way and with no service backup to excuse those expenses.

International Business Unit (IBU) is a joke.
They block account without any previous information due to "compliance review".
Then they charge extra money for "over due" compliance. And then they charge extra money for that compliance review.
I have worked with many banks and this is by far the most crazy and unfriendly process.

Average service. No complain with small branches, but in the bigger branches i found not polite people. About services, they issue basic services and nothing special. Also the rates and commissions are average.
