Definitely a scam, they offer to give you a deposit when you haven't asked for one, only if you have this autochecker specific report. They try everything to get you to get their report .
I directed them to the free ones and govt website, but nope only this report will do. They even get feisty if you don't pay for the report. DONOT use this company.

THIS IS A SCAM. I was contacted by a man John Clarke regarding a motor sale on Facebook marketplace. I sent over a report from another supplier at half the cost and he was adamant that I buy one from this website.

Someone messaged me acting all interested in buy my car but was specific about getting my car history check only from Autochecker. Good thing I checked before payment.

SCAM a guy called acting interested in my car and requested this specific report even when I offered him a report from HPI. good thing i didn't buy it as it saved me £55

SCAM - stupidly I also fell for this as I was out and tied up so reacted without checking them out!! Bank said it was worse as that they actually set you up to pay out more later (i.e. you sign up for a subscription) so you need your bank to ensure nothing else gets paid to them. Card also now blocked.

The cheeky ballbag rung me acting all interested in my vehicle for sale. Laid it on too thick wanting me to buy his shite report on his dodgy scam website. Good job I sniffed this one out a mile off, try harder next time and get a real job, skidmark of society. DO NOT fall for this.

SCAM. you can get same service for £7 on legit websites.

Had contacted through the autotrader and they wanted to pay for history check even i had one already.

Buyer on Autotrader with an accent and a call centre style mic takes conversation on WhatsApp where they insist they’ll view today and offer asking price if only you pay up front for this £55 check. Obvious scam. Avoid.

This is a total scam. Guy phones, pretends to be interested in buying your car. Asks you to send details to separate whats app address, then the scam kicks in where they say they want you to provide a detailed report on the car from "Autochecker" and they send you a link. The report is £55!! No chance. Blocked and reported!

I had a suspicious call from someone interested in buying my car ' for his wife'.
Switched to a different phone to send WhatsApp messages and asked for a report, even though Auto trader do most of this.
I made the mistake of doing this and sent as requested. When he didn't show I contacted him,he said he was waiting for the mechanic mate to turn up.
The I came here to read the reviews. Cancelled my bank card.
I suspect it is an attempt to scam.

Scam the make out there interested in buy and act pushy to purchase this report I had provided a report but that still wasn’t good enough. Started to make me question it so I checked on reviews and the answer said it all… foreign barstards

Was selling a car on Autotrader. A guy rang asking for more info, and asked me to send my address on WhatasApp to a different number as he said he rang using his business phone and wanted the address on his private number (which I did - hope that's not a problem!) Then asked me to do a car check using their website only. I hadn't heard of autochecker.co.uk and thought it was weird he would want me to do the check as I could edit the PDF report and give him false information, so I did a web search which brought me here.
I told the guy that he should get his own report and that even if I were to buy the report it would be from rac,co.uk or carwow.co.uk or other reputable service provider. I didn't hear back from him again....

I believe they are trying to scam you, either by stealing your information or by getting you to pay for a report that no one will use because the guy won't turn up.

Also, it's very interesting that there 3 5-star reviews within 2 days of each other, another a couple of weeks later and all reviews since then have been 1-star. You have been warned.

Trying to sell a car on Autotrader, they texted asking for more info then asked me to do a car check using their website only. They advised me to pay upfront and they would refund me after buying the car.

They are scamming car sellers by buying info about the car and probably never showing or refunding you.

Block the number and call them out for scamming.

It's a fake website try to steal your bank details! They get your details from autotrader, tell you that they want to buy your car and ask for a report from this website.

Scam!! Car buying scam, do not click the link or enter bank details. There is no need to provide a report for a genuine sale. Person via phone and WhatsApp was very pushy and rude. Don’t let these low life’s fool you.

I was contacted by a man called William about a car that I had for sale. He asked for a Whatsapp number for the address and for contact. Within two minutes he asked for an Autochecker report. I have never provided a report when selling but he was insistent. I visIted the website to check & low and behold a chat representative called John William responded. He was very evasive when I queried this and promptly closed the chat. I would suggest that they were one in the same. BEWARE PEOPLE. THIS IS A POSSIBLE SCAM

DO NO USE THIS SITE OR PUT YOUR BANK DETAILS IN. This site is fraud to get your bank details. Im selling a car on auto trader and a fake car buyer is trying to get me to use this site to get a car history report but it is fake and they only want your bank details. Be very careful do not use if someone send you the link.Looks very convincing and genuine but its a fraudulent site. Please don't buy the report as you will be giving your bank details and it will be used for fraud
