A.S. Bikes Arvostelua 

I had been looking for a folding electric bike for some time which didn’t cost a fortune. The only ones I found were either too heavy or didn’t have many good reviews plus there were many that weren’t available to ‘test drive’. But then I found out about AS Bikes, so I contact them to see if me and my partner could go and view their Electrobike MK3. They were more than accommodating and as we were in Plymouth and travelling home to the North West the next day we arrange to call in on the way. On arrival we were met by Sam and two very friendly dogs. I had forgotten to say we would be bringing our Cockapoo Ruby with us. But that was not a problem and Ruby was made to feel very welcome as were we. The bike was ready for us and Sam and her Dad, Peter, explained the workings etc and we were able to test ride the bike in their yard. We must have been there for almost a hour and a half. What a lovely family they are, they couldn’t do enough for us.
Once home we contacted Sam to order the bike and a couple of accessories and the package arrived the next day! The bike is in perfect condition and we are happy with how it rides. It is exactly what I was looking for. Plus it gives both me and my partner great satisfaction that we bought it from a lovely small family business.
I’m sure it won’t be long before we are going back to buy another for my partner as I can’t get him off mine!

Mobility scooter. Had problems with the fuse holder in the battery box. They replaced the fuse but it still blew so they took the scooter away. Whilst away they gave it a full service, replaced the throttle as that was sticking intermittently and gave me a new base cushion. This is 1st class service that you will not get from a larger company. I had a look a possibly buying anew scooter as back up. The same scooter more or less but at twice the price. Use this company well worth it.

This business is the most friendly, helpful and reliable I have dealt with for a very long time.

A big Thankyou to AS Bikes We went to see them after I tried a an ETrike at a show and bought one took me a little while to get used to it. I knew this would happen as it was explained to me at the show. Now I love it and can't wait to take it on holiday. It folds up so well (a work of art) it will go anywhere and we also bought the fold up mobility scooter, again folds up so easy. The family run company are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I know that if we have any issues or they need a service they will help. I wish more companies were as good to deal with as ASBIKES.

REVIEW of ELECTROTRIKE and A.S. BIKES. Nov.2024.
I don’t usually write reviews, so this one is somewhat unique for me.
As with many of the reviews I read before dealing with this company I would repeat that they give an excellent service and nothing seems too much trouble for them.
After many questions from me, which were answered swiftly and comprehensively, I decided to travel to Coventry to have a look for myself.
Although I don’t like travelling, I am so glad that I did this journey as the whole experience of meeting this team was such a pleasant experience. I would give them 5 stars just for that.
However, the purpose of the journey was to thoroughly examine and try their Electrotrike, which I was able to do at length with the guidance and assistance of Sam’s dad.
It should be said that I had previously looked at many other possible candidates for my purchase of an Etrike, so I had a good idea of what I did and did not want.
This Electrotrike seemed very well thought through and designed by someone who knew what they wanted from such a machine and I appreciate many of the details in the design. Fortunately, most of the design features appealed to me, so I purchased the trike there and then.
I particularly liked the way the trike’s back wheels fold, as this (along with the fold-down handlebars) allows me to park it in a narrow access at the side of my house, so that I can still walk past it.
I also liked the thought of it being able to stand upright in a vehicle. However, this was not possible in my wife’s Mini but was easily achieved in my Citroen.
Having now road-tested it at home in testing terrain and conditions, I can confidently give the trike a 5-star rating to match the service.
Now for the relatively minor things that I might have wished for that this trike did not have at this juncture and those things I have altered since returning home.
1) The trike felt a bit on the heavy side, so I’m glad I knew that before the purchase.
2) I would have liked it to have one or two USB ports & a socket so that I could tap into the battery power for other things like lights, phone charging, tyre inflation etc.
3) The trike came with two reflectors on the back mudguards, which I have changed for indicator lights (which I have also put on the handlebars).
4) Having removed the only reflectors, I am now in the process of putting reflectors on the main back frame. (The law states that in the UK, bikes and trikes should have both lights and reflectors to ride at night).
5) This trike ‘can’ be wheeled along when folded but it only wheels on one of the back wheels because the other is a drive wheel. I am presently designing a ‘bogey wheel’ for that side whereby this minor inconvenience can be easily overcome.
6) I liked the available option of having the trike as a two-seater but felt that the present option would not suit my wife’s preferences for seating, so I intend (at some time) to design a second seat to suit her needs.
PLEASE NOTE: None of these additional comments detract from my assessment that this folding Etrike is probably the best available E trike on the market at this time and at a very reasonable price compared with others on the market.
Hence: I give them 5 stars for service and 5 stars for the Etrike (10 stars in all) and I wish them well for the future.

Great product and excellent service. A great firm who really go out of their way to look after their customers. The mobility scooter we bought folds up so easily it makes others a joke. It’s even easy to move folded up.

Just collected a new battery for my bike. Also a repair done. Great service, Sam her dad and uncle very helpful. A coffee while I waited. Cannot fault the service.

I bought an electric bike from ASBikes in 2010. I have always found them very helpful and friendly and they give give a good prompt service.

This was the only trike for us because we needed to keep it in a passage-way with the bicycles and put it on the back of our motorhome. It will fit in the back of the quite small Kia Picanto!
But it was also a very good choice - its wider than any other trike and more stable. Its mechanically simple and probably more reliable than most. The front-drive system is simple but reliable and encourages very tight turns on pavements and in tight parking spaces.
AS Bikes is a family firm delivering legendary service. They are based in Coventry but also visit Motorhome Shows all round the country (see the list on their web-site) and do any minor servicing needed for you there. Customers seem to be universally happy.
The trike does not have its own Facebook page - fans simply took over "UK ADULT TRIKES". Second hand Electrotrikes come up occasionally and seem to be snapped up at relatively high prices.
Most trikes come with a wire basket, Electrotrike give you that option but, because of the trike width, most people choose a particular smart and removable motorcycle top-box (known as the "double-helmet").
Remove the box and you can fit a platform and a big plastic bin for serious amounts of shopping - or even camping equipment.

After two years of use we took our two bikes in for a service and repair on one.Wizardry carried out and the bikes are like new. One bike needed a new controller and both needed a service, no charge!!!

ASBikes products and service is absolutely excellent! My wife and I were keen cycle tourists, but in later years my wife developed rheumatoid arthritis. As a result whilst the muscles free up once moving, getting started on a standard bike was difficult. When we saw the Electrotrike at a show we thought that would be a possibility and after some thought purchased one. It has proved to be absolutely excellent - low step through, brakes on and locked and you can take as long as you want to get onto the seat, release brakes and press the walk assist button to get up to slow walking speed and start pedalling - and you're off! Similarly no need to get off when stopped at traffic lights etc. My wife can now do 15 miles easily and feels much better for it. The folding wheel design make it easy to transport (it and the two wheeled one fit in the back of a Suzuki Vitara). The trike has been to a number of Scottish Islands, along cycle routes etc. The seat post and front suspension make it very comfortable indeed - and the same is true for the two wheeled ElectroBike (very rare in folding bikes which really need it because of the smaller wheel size making them more prone to being uncomfortable on rough road surfaces). The after sales service has been excellent - when we've needed advice or spare parts (which they keep for many many years) there has been no problem at all - very friendly and attentive service. Great products and great service.
