ARS/Rescue Rooter - Total Comfort Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing Arvostelua 

This company should not be in business and I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. We had a new unit installed July 2025. As soon as they left the unit was blowing hot air. They didn’t come back out until a day or 2 later, meanwhile we very hot in the house and trying to keep it cooled off with fans. Let me also say that the 3 men they sent out to install on that Saturday morning were not happy and not prepared. They basically installed the unit as fast as they could so they could leave and finish their weekend plans. On the 14th of July this year, we made an appointment for a 1 year service. The technician did not open the unit in the garage to check nothing. He only checked the unit outside and said he had to put a little bit of Freon in there. 2 weeks later the unit stopped cooling. We called them back. That took another day and I took off work 5 hours. That technican never looked on the inside of the unit in the garage either. Said there was no leak when he performed a leak check. He put more Freon in and said it would take some time for the house to get back cool. About 11pm that night the house was back at the set temperature. That was 07/30. Yesterday when we arrived home 08/04 the unit was not cooling again and we had to wait until this morning to call them back out once again. The technician arrived about 10:30 am. This is the third technician and he opened the unit in the garage and immediately found a leak from the coil. He also said the sensor was not working properly because the unit should have shut off if it detected a leak. He found the sensor wires were not installed properly. Now we have a hot house once again and have to wait until next Tuesday 08/11 for the ordered part to arrive. Meanwhile the unit is steady running and only cooled 2 degrees from 82 to 79. My husband had to miss work just to stay here for the appointment today. This is unacceptable because they failed to do a proper service 2 times and did a shabby install. Never opened the unit to check until today. Now we are suffering in a hot house for all these days. Additionally, my husband has to miss additional days off work just to be here for the coil replacement and wiring repair. Please do yourself a favor and tell everyone you know to call anyone but this company. You have been warned. I must say the technician they sent out today did his job professionally. He may be the only one working there that knows how. I’m pretty sure we’re going have to get a hotel room, it’s just too hot in this house until Tuesday of next week and today is just Wednesday.

Total Comfort arrived at my house a few hours after calling them. The tech arrived and diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately, the remedy was a new HVAC system. All of the employees were polite, professional and prompt. I would highly recommend Total Comfort for HVAC repair work.

They were great took a little time to get the part but that was not their fault. Came out fixed it when they said they would.

The service tech was excellent and provided great service. The sales rep tried to overprice their units and stick us with a 15 year payment. Got an efficient unit at $10K less with less years on financing (5 years as opposed to 15 years). Comparison shopping works.

AC was not leaking from the coil also it wasn’t freezing so I was told all that turned out to be my filters
