Even though they come and spray…
Even though they come and spray outside, I am still getting red carpenter ants in my house, but when I call them to come back, they do come back and they do put extra stuff down. The technicians are amazing and friendly.

Terrible experience, Bad product, Bad service
Short version:
Door to door sales guy assured me of two things:
1. If the service doesn't work I could cancel without issue. -> That was a lie. After several attempts and months of paying they still charged me a $200 cancelation fee.
2. I contracted them especially to get rid of my fire ants in the yard. They promised they could do it if I just gave them a few months. This also was a lie. After 4 months and multiple additional service calls I never had an ant free yard even for a day.
Long version:
After two months I knew the product was not going to work to remove my fire ants. I had huge mounds in my yard days after their treatments. The ants would simply move around. At that point I started trying to cancel, and they kept promising me that they were going to try something different and I just needed to give them more time. They promised me that they would explain my issue to the technician and assign a specific tech to always come to my house so he could learn and adjust my treatment. When the tech came out he explained that no one had contacted him or given him any history about my issues. He also explained that they would never assign a specific tech to an individual house. This is when I gave a negative reveiw and again asked to cancel my service. This is when the operations manager started writing me emails saying they were sorry and would do whatever required to make the situation right. Once I again explained that I simply wanted to cancel my service I never heard from her again. Finally I called them again and after speaking with a "manager" was told that in order to cancel I had to pay the early cancelation fee of $200. I argued that if they had let me cancel when I originally requested it would have saved me at least $200 and therefore I should not now be forced to pay an additional $200. They did not help in any way.

Fire ant control can be challenging and often requires adjustments over time, but it’s clear you did not feel supported or heard as you raised concerns and requested changes.
We’re also concerned by what you shared regarding the mixed messaging about service professionals, follow-up communication, and the cancellation process. That’s not the experience we want for anyone who chooses Aptive, and we’d like the opportunity to review this further to understand what happened and see how we can make this right.

Been Using Aptive for Years
Typically, the appointments work out and I am notified plenty in advance to make sure I got through what I need. If I need the interior done, my garage, my soffits, etc. If I am not home, I don't feel I get the best value but then I just schedule them to come back out at no cost so it mostly works out. Depending on which tech they send, it can make a difference as well. Most of the time, the techs go above and beyone.

Personable and thorough
Talked with the agent who treated our property. He was very helpful in answering my questions. He did a very thorough treatment, much more than I've seen the other agents do recently. Maybe it's just the time of year. Their products seem to be working, bugs and rodents have been reduced dramatically since using them.

They always let me know when they are 10 to 15 minutes out. Tech rep does an excellent job in explaining what he will be doing. I love getting a recap and pictures of everywhere they have treated outside of my house when job is completed.
