Considerable Disappointment
It is with considerable disappointment and frustration that I write this review of AppGenie.
When first approached by one of their sales representatives, I was hesitant to proceed. I had no personal referral, they were not local, and I remain unsure how they identified me as a prospect. However, the representative was persuasive and ultimately convinced me to sign on in April 2024 for what should have been a relatively simple app development project (which, according to other developers, should take no more than 3–4 months).
Unfortunately, over a year has passed, and the experience has been marked by poor communication, project management turnover, and shifting demands. The first project manager, David, took months to understand my needs before communication stopped without explanation. I was then passed to Kevin, who required me to purchase additional tools like a working website and developer accounts. After initial progress, communication again dropped. Jason followed but failed to deliver clear timelines or milestones, and ultimately, Luna took over with apologies and promises. Most recently, Luna has stopped responding to my emails.
At this point, I have lost confidence that AppGenie has the team or expertise to deliver the application as promised. I have informed them that it is best we part ways.
If you are considering AppGenie for your project, I sincerely hope your experience turns out better than mine, but based on what I have endured, I cannot recommend them.
